Home-like atmosphere, nice, clean, newly refurbished room, comfortable bed, breakfast in the room. B&B is situated on a calm street close to the city center, which met my expectations. Thanks a lot, Thierry and Bernard, for your hospitality!

    Nothing to specify.

Fabulous and stylishly designed B and B in a great location in quiet street only 5 mins walk to main square . Loved the decor - we were in one of the back rooms which were fairly new . Stylish comfortable rooms . Breakfast was excellent is collected on a tray and eaten in your room .No problem with this except you have no contact with other guests Thierry was excellent host giving us a wonderful introduction to Brugges

There are 2 entrances - we arrived at address on our booking.com confirmation form but were actually around in the other street so had to walk back around .

Beautifully furnished rooms. Everything had been considered including coffee machine and range of teas. Only 5 mins walk to the historic square. Very good wifi. Hosts were very helpful but allowed guests lots of privacy. Breakfast was great.

Doonas were a little heavy for summertime, but really a minor problem.

    Really clean and relaxing.

If you prefer to have breakfast in the breakfast room, make sure that you get the room in the old building, and not in the new one (where you have to bring the food in the room). Hosts are not so flexible for the arrival and check out time!

We loved this place. The bedroom and bathroom were modern, simple and beautiful while retaining the charm and features of the historic building. The continental breakfast on offer was lovely and well presented. Thierry who runs the place is the perfect host and his recommendations for restauarants were excellent. Next time I would look at his website and book restaurants in advance since they are heavily booked.

We were directed by the booking.com website to the wrong entrance. The entrance was not in Zakse but in Oude Zak.

B&B St. Jacobs was a fantastic experience. Thierry was super friendly, helpful and great in pretty much every way. He even took time to explain a map of Bruges and make some great recommendations. We stayed on the "urban" side in a newly renovated room which was very nice and very comfortable with great big windows. Overall a very enjoyable stay.

The breakfast was a bit meager. Some bread, ham, cheese, yogurt and spreads. Actually pretty typical for B&Bs of this sort, but it would have been nice to see a little bit more variety. This is a very minor complaint though, as it really was fine.

Thierry, who owns the place, is very nice. He received us very well, give us very good tips about restaurants and places around the area. The bedroom is very nice, big and confortable.

The only comment is regarding towels. They could be a little bit better considering the place. That is my only comment.

    Location

Don't know what all the fuss is about. This was a nice B&B in a good location, but that's about it.

Everything. Location is just outside the main hustle-and-bustle of the center... but it takes maybe 5 minutes to walk to the Markt Square. The rooms are very large. The fireplace was amazing and very romantic. Rooms were clean and comfortable. The bathroom is also very large. Our room was #2, I think, and we were on the street. I didn't mind as the windows blocked out all the noise (not that there was much) when closed. Thierry was very welcoming and accommodating! We were there for our honeymoon and he made us feel extra special! He served breakfast in the dining room downstairs which was fabulous! The whole place just screams understated elegance. Can't wait to return!

Nothing. Everything was great... Wish we would have been able to stay longer!!

Wonderful room and quiet. Fab recommendations for restaurant and hands on host.

Only cereal Cornflakes at breakfast? Muesli a healthier and preferred option.

The well finished rooms had a great feel and Thierry was really welcoming. The location was perfect- close to the centre but nice and quiet over night. The breakfast set up was interesting - a croissant each and a selection of bread, cheese and cereals in a shared area to take back to your room.

There was no English breakfast tea in the room which we missed.

We've enjoyed our stay very much. Everything was perfect. Will surely come again. Tip for a nice restaurant: Brasserie Raymond and for a great pubs: De Garre and Bruges Beertje - all in the vicinity of the BB.
