B&B La Passarelle-Hooghe Crater

The hosts are both lovely and helpful. It is about 3 km outside Ypres but on direct road to Menin gate so v convenient. NIce and plentiful breakfast including fresh fruit.

Beds were too firm for us but would suit others.

All of the elements of our trip were superb. The family that owned and ran the B&B were very friendly, and excellent company. The breakfast was plentiful and of very high quality.

We liked it all.

Super-friendly owners who really made us feel at home, and wanted us to get the most out of our 2 days their. Offered great advice for local walks / places to visit, and insisted on us using their glasses for proper enjoyment of the Belgian beers we'd bought in the supermarket. If we go back to Ypres, we'll certainly stay here again

Slightly difficult to find on our first night, but that ultimately worked out as a plus (enjoyed being in the countryside part of Ypres)

Excellent comfortable room, delicious plentiful breakfast, tea-making facilities in room, welcoming owners, knowledgeable and chatty about local WW1 sites, easy to find and park at, perfect location for Ieper area visit, great views, lovely garden & indoor plants.

Sonja and Marc were amazingly helpful to a friend of ours who suffered an injury. Nothing was too much trouble, will stay again.

Lack of choice for local facilities unless driving into Ypres nightly.

The welcome is fantastic, extremely friendly and very happy to help with questions regarding Ypres and finding locations. Breakfast very copious, varied and delicious. Well situated for visiting Ypres with a nice view on battle field.We were just a couple in a family room with bathroom and toilet. Clean towels. Breakfast room pleasant with lovely view.Could not fault them at all. It'a b &B and you feel part of them.To be highly recommended .Had a parking place in courtyard.

.There is some parking place in their courtyard, but not for too many cars.But I am sure the owners have worked all this out. They are so organised and eager to please.

Its not a Hotel, Its more then that, In my long travelling, I felt like I'm at Home., The Owner of Hotel, is a very kind lady. She speak very friendly & informative for the touriest., Howevery I did not plan anything before visiting Yprus, But due help of that lady Yprus is one of my memorable trip., I wish I could go again just to meet her & with my friends to travel Yprus again n again.

Its a country side., You need CAR to reach that Hotel.

Sonja is a very lovely, caring hostess, nothing is too much trouble

Very friendly owners willing to provide their utmost possible care to their guests. Very convenient location for anyone voyaging by car - just abt.10min.to Ipres town centre so this guesthouse is a good synergy between enjoying an overlooking a village dwellstyle and advantages of staying very close to a relatively large WE town.

Cozy, clean, excelent location (specially for those interested in ww1 history), mniamy breakfast (you must try Sonja`s jam), etc etc. But what is special about La Passarelle is the couple who runs it, Sonja and Marc...they are really special; they make you feel at home as soon as you enter their place. I booked for 2 days and stayed 4. Thanks!

Marc provided a lift on the first night into Ypres, as well as supplying some reading material covering the area in the Great war. On the second day he provided a quick guided tour of the Ypres salient.

Shower was a tad small

Warm welcome from the lovely owners, very comfortable rooms are spotless and very roomy with en-suite shower room. Lovely views of the countryside. A stones throw from Sanctuary Wood, Hill 62, Railway Wood and Hellfire Corner. Hooghe Crater museum is 50 yards away. Private off street parking, fantastic breakfast. Owner offered us discount vouchers for local attractions and could not do enough to make our stay a pleasant one. Will definitely be returning.

The owners are really friendly and know alot about the history of the area. We were offered tea and coffee on arrival and the breakfast was excellent. The house had off street parking and was easy to find we were also given vouchers to enter museums and other attractions for a cheaper price - excellent.

Ideal location, very clean and comfortable rooms, good breakfast however the undoubted stars of the show were the owners who were both extremely welcoming, very knowledgable about the area and First World War sites and events and just made the entire stay in Ieper that much more memorable.

Value for money and close to Ypres and WW1 battlefield sites. Friendly and welcoming owners.
