Proximity to railway station; secure place in busy downtown area. Really friendly, helpful receptionists and staff , lift to get to room, televsion in room, economic rates, clean bathroom and facilities, clean towels, hairdryer, good night's sleep due to comfortable bed and heavy colourful curtains.
Lift prone to stopping if you didn't stand well clear of doors. No plug in bath so unable to have a bath(shower only).
staffs were very friendly, and it was few mins walk from gare du midi and which is very convenient. The room was quiet at night.
limited facilities, but fare enough for its price
Nothing at all it is a DUMP.
The Hotel Continental....DUMP..
clean comfortable room with wifi good bed and bathroom. Staff nice
the area is very noisy from traffic/trains and people
Good position near rail station. Short walk to good eating spots near palace. Value for the money.
Not modern but clean.
Staff was very helpful and very friendly with fair English skills. A bit too far from the city center, but very accessible with public transport (underground). But 3 minutes away on foot from Midi railway station. Very clean room and bathroom. I think all possible was done regarding transform this old building into a cheap hotel. Outstanding value for money (1 night room < E 50 ).
Parking would have been way too expensive comparing to hotel price (around E 90 for 2 nights the room and additional E 50 for parking for 2 days). Bathroom was on the opposite side of the corridor, but it was used only by me.
Great location and only ten minutes away from centre. The hotel people ain't bad and arevery helpful.
Not very clean and the bathroom door need a lock. Overall the hotel needs a bit of work doing.
staff is very friendly and location is near the station and easy to get
the room is not very new
The price (50euro for a double, nice room, comfortable bed). We arrived at 12pm and good checkin, much appreciated. Nice couple who own the hotel - and helpful to store a bag. Great wifi, and free.
nothing - the price makes this an excellent choice.
-cheap -pleasant reception -close to the trainstation -double glazed windows actually reduced the noise from the street.
-not very clean - found a pair of panties hanging in the bathroom, dirty mirror, one soap was just the packaging -old and used looking hall ways
The staff here are friendly and helpful and can speak english as well which helped me a lot. big smiles and had no problem allowing me to check in early even tho I has arrived hours before check in time. To top if off they even recognised it had been my birthday earlier I'm week and threw in a complimentary breakfast for me - which was great! Free wifi, nice clean room and private ensuite which was very clean and really comfortable bed. I would definitely recommend this place as my experience there was awesome. The Brussels zuid train station is a 2min walk up the street. There is also a carnival, cafes, bars, restaurants and internet cafes 5min walk down the road for people who are wanting to have fun and not have to go far, it's a great location and has everything you need.
Location close to the Bruxelles-Midi railway station. Free WiFi.
Smelly bathroom, noisy environment and no airco. The entrance is at a site street very cramped and feels more like a backdoor for a restaurant. Very strange and odd first impression.
Spacious room with spacious bathroom. Helpful staff
The rest. Bathroom full of fungus and smelly. Carpet in corridors very dirty. Poor breakfast (and only untill 9.30). Dirty fridge in the room. Things under the bed.Elevator smelled horribly like waste. Not a hotel for spending your holidays.
THe hotel doesnt deserve to be called a hotel. it is a hostel. its absolutely filthy and the towels and other linen are all torn and tattered. the staff smoked in the bathroom while we were out. they also didnt actually do any housekeeping of any sort. the room was miniscule and it was hard to open the bathroom door because the bed obstructed it. very noisy with the street outside.
Very close to station for Eurostar service. Room clean and comfy. Breakfast simple but adequate.
Location noisy as there is a market right outside on a Sunday morning so they started setting up at about 4.30am. Ask for a room at the back if you stay here on a Saturday night!
everything was perfect, had absolutely no problem,
Good receptionist and very friendly.
The staff aren't friendly they smoke in the collidor they don't have any consideration to the costums. I was dissapointed while they were speaking in they language and laughing at me after telling them for the conditions of the bed.
We booked for a room of 3 persons but we got a big room for 5 that's very nice. Staffs are very nice and friendly. We request for early check out at 3.00 am. and they're waiting for us.
Staff forgot to take out trash from the toilet room before we check in. Way from hotel to airport shuttle bus stop is quite dark and look dangerous in early morning, it's not suitable for solo traveler.
Perfect for anyone who wants a good location without the price! Metro is in midi/zuig station
Rooms were of a good size and quiet. Location was important near transport. Easy to get to.
Wifi, easy access to transportation, cheap price for room. Staff was helpful
Rooms are not the best looking, seems a bit delapodated.
Very close to Midi (Zuid) station; 10-15 mins walk from Grand Place. Room and bathroom very clean. When I reported that the sink was blocked, it was rectified before I returned in the evening. Buffet breakfast good value for 7 Euros - fruit juice, coffee, cereal (limited), breads, cheese, meat, croissants, pain au chocolate, hard boiled eggs; no need to book breakfast, and you pay for it on day of departure. Lift to all floors. Free Wifi (didn't use, but given code on arrival). Friendly staff - able to leave suitcase until evening on day of departure. Arrived 11.15am (very early!) - my room wasn't ready, so they put me in a room that was. Check-in was quick - my booking details were to hand, and the credit card bill was printed out ready to sign.
Room small, bathroom very cramped. Not air conditioned, although windows opened wide, and there was a large desk fan to keep air circulating - very effective. Looked out over railway station (and street), so very noisy with window open - but much quieter when closed. Very tatty decoration in corridors, and corridor carpets very dirty and badly worn in places - very poor impression on arrival! Not the most pleasant area of Brussels (but convenient for Eurostar, Thalys, ice trains).
Staff were very helpful.
Somewhat old and run down.
The location, close to the train station
There was a smoke/cigarrette smell, the neighborhood is noisy and soundproofing is poor
Noise from the street
