Balladins Superior Hotel Charleroi    

Staff at Balladins are the most friendly and helpful, and consistenly so, that I have ever met. A pleasure to stay there even if only or the friendly welcome we get every time.

Thought breakfast was expensive for what it is

It was quiet and relaxing

I did not like having to take an expensive taxi ride to and from the airport (8 euro each way), when the hotel was only 200 metres from the airport terminal. The complicated road system made it necessary to travel almost 5km. A small pedestrian access to the terminal could be provided at not much cost.

The staff is nice and apparently multilingual.

The position, like everyone said, is really close to the airport, but you still have to take a taxi or find the shuttle service to get there. Since we were going to check in late, we were told that we had to call a taxi ourselves. I lost the number of the taxi company, so we had to call the hotel to ask for it again, but we got an "impossible to contact this phone number" message (how comes?). We ended up calling a different taxi company that asked for 15 Euro for the 5 minute ride (although the taxi driver wanted 20 Euro and he didn't speak much English). To make things worst, when we arrived to the hotel we saw a Shuttle arriving at the same time, even though they had told us that there weren't going to be any available! We could have saved 7 Euro and a phone call in roaming! Really, with all this problems it would have been easier to just stay in a cheaper hotel in Charleroi city! Also, one of the beds in the room had dirty-looking blankets and lots of hair (the other one was fine). The pillows were too soft, so we had to use one we brought and "bend" the other one so we could sleep. The toilet is separated from the shower and hand washer, which is a bit uncomfortable (I usually want to wash my hands right after I use the toilet instead of having to open two doors before being able to do so).

Very good option if you want to fly from Charleroi airport and park your car. Rooms are simple, modern and clean.

The beds were a bit too narrow. There were a lot of moths in the room. Sanitation recommended.

Staff were so helpful and friendly, it was so clean too.

it cost €20 for two cheese and ham sandwiches, thought that was very overpriced. Taxi's took a very long time to arrive and lost us at the airport.

Staff are excellent - they are always the most friendly and helpful hotel staff I have ever had the pleaseure to deal with.

It was conveniently located close to the airport. It was nice to have the toilet seperated from the shower.

The breakfast was very expensive. The room itself wasn't necessarily worth the price.

The overall judgment was positive. The free wifi (without password) was a plus too.

The rooms were clean and the initial price was quite good. The staff is very friendly and the hotel itself is quite cozy and FREE WI-FI of quite a good speed is amazing advantage.

I had 23 hours between flights so decided to stay in a hotel 1 km "straight road" from the airport. Unfortunately you cannot get to that straight road since the gates are closed. Taxi costs about 8 euro so it is alright, but expected to walk thefore the location is missleading

Perfect airport location with very friendly staff. Regular airport transfers and great deals on extended parking when you fly out for long periods of time.

The location was awful. Despite of being an airport-hotel it's not possible to walk from the airport. You need to take a taxi which costs 15-20 EUR or the hotel shuttle which costs 4 EUR p.P, min 8 EUR. Much better choice would be to take the hotel in the city of Charleroi

Large clean rooms, friendly staff, great location for the airport. $4 euro shuttle to the airport. Very comfortable beds. Free wifi. Great room ( 229 ) for watching the planes take off and land.
