B&B Ter Castaigne

The accomadation, on a former farm, is relaxing and ideal for dog owners. The location is very convenient for the ferry ports of Calais and Dunkirk. A comfortable room, refreshing shower and excellent breakfast.

The buildings are approached by a private track which my SATNAV did not recognise as a road. Approach instructions could be improved.

The owners are wonderful... They took time to offer us coffee upon our arrival and chat with us. We had such a great time here. Relaxing, pleasant and a breath of fresh air. We played with our son in the yard and went to see the farm animals. The room was quiet and mattresses were firm and comfortable. The breakfast was amazing next to warm fireplace! Home made jams and spreads, fresh egg from farm chicken, good bread, ham and cheese. The best bed and breakfast we've ever been to! Note that it is a farm in the middle of a beautiful prairie and not easy to find. Our gps had the street Moerdijjkbeek Oost (and not West), just take the street in the opposite direction and drive 5 minutes, look closely and you will see a sign for ter castaigne at the beginning of a dirt road. Amazing b&b! Highly recommend!

Friendly but missed not having a chair and did not like mosses in room on first night. Could not sleep so went out to our car to sleep at 5.00am! Were provided with a mossey killer for other nights so slept well.

Very welcoming, friendly, food very good and varied, local information supplied by owners was a great help,would stay there again.

Very quiet and relaxing. Slept 10 hour at night. Best sleep in years! Great breakfast, lots of choices.

Route instructions were non existent. Booking.com had the incorrect phone number for them on the paperwork!

Geen tv. Waren later door sneeuwstorm en werd moeilijk over gedaan.

Un couple d’hôtelier vraiment charmant et très prévenant. Un accueil avec une boisson à l'arrivée, puis présentation de la chambre. Un gite bien placé : pas trop loin de Bruges ni de la mer, idéal pour un week end de visite et détente. Le petit déjeuner hyper copieux et vraiment bon ! Et le champagne pour la nouvelle année !

Uistekende Gastheer en Gastvrouw, bedankt voor de mooie tijd, de goede zorgen, en het uitgebreid ontbijt. zeker tot weerziens Dit was een zeer geslaagde uitstap.

Hôtes plus que sympathiques, au petit soin avec leurs clients. Petit coup a boire a l'arrivée, petit déjeuner exceptionnel (je vous laisse la surprise). Cadre magnifique dans la campagne flamande, a 20 minutes de Brugge, 10 minutes de la côte. Nous y retournerons, pour le calme, les hôtes et les animaux (idéal pour enfants). Possibilité de faire des promenades en calèche pendant les belles saisons. Magnifique décors, du très haut niveau !

La situation au milieu des champs de maïs, le style des bâtiments et des meubles anciens, la proximité des animaux (chien, chats, chèvres, cygnes, canards, lapins, chevaux) et aussi la gentillesse des propriétaires.

ländliche Lage, nette Inhaber, sehr guter Service. Wir waren bereits mehrmals Gäste im Haus und können dieses Haus nur empfehlen.

Ambitioniertes Parr, dem man anmerkt, daß es mit diesem Hof seinen Traum verwirklicht hat. Sehr ruhig gelegen, inmitten von Feldern. Kindgerechte Außenanlagen mit Streichelzoo, eingezäuntem Teich mit Schwänen und Enten. Hofhund, Katzen und 3 Pferde runden das beschauliche Bild ab. Die Zimmer selbst sind urig eingerichtet und liebevoll dekoriert. Eine Massage-Runddusche sorgt für SPA-Gefühl. Das Frühstück war sehr umfangreich - und auf meine Extra-Wünsche wurde sofort eingegangen, alles war liebevoll arrangiert und dekoriert. Abends kann man dort für verhältnismäßig kleines Geld ein wundervolles Menü (mehrere Gänge!) genießen. Ideal für die kleine Familie oder ruhesuchende Menschen mit Spaß an Weite und Spaziergängen. Ostende und das Meer sind in 15 Min. mit dem Auto zu erreichen. Umfangreiche Einkaufsmöglichkeiten bieten sich schon vorher in der Nähe des Flughafens von Ostende. Eigentlich der richtige Rahmen für einen beschaulichen Urlaub. Ich darf mich bei den Eigentümern nochmals für diesen schönen Aufenthalt bedanken.

Es gab kein TV auf den Zimmern. Und die Fenster in den Zimmern lassen sich nicht öffnen. Aber genügend Frischluft strömt durch die eingebrachten Schlitze oberhalb der Fenster trotzdem hinein. Dies ist für Deutsche ungewohnt, aber in Belgien wohl gesetzlich vorgeschrieben, da sich die Zimmer im Paterre des Gästehauses befinden.

Uitstekend ontbijt

Het was niet smakelijk dat het paard zijn gevoeg deed tijdens het ontbijt waarna de baas het moest opruimen met de schop terwijl wij aan het ontbijt zaten. Ver van alles weg.Onze gps vond het niet.

Erg lastig te vinden,zelfs tomtom wist het niet! Met de mevrouw gebelt en zij heeft ons perfect per telefoon de weg gewezen. Erg vriendelijke mensen. Bedankt! En wat een uitgebreid ontbijt...zalig.

Niets viel ons tegen, heerlijk de rust, omgeven door lieve paardjes schaapjes een poes, zwanen en een schat van een hond!

Wij zijn daar echt verwend,heel rustig en zeer vriendelijk. Ontbijt was heerlijk. We waren wel de enige gasten voor ons was het gewoonweg zalig.

Très bon accueil et propriétaires très sympas. Excellent déjeuner. Service impeccable. Excellent propreté de la chambre.

Staff very friendly and welcoming, and they do a great breakfast that was included in the cost. I used this B&B as a stop off from Europe back to Calais, and was extremely pleased with the stop. Large double beds and modern private showers made this stay very comfortable. There is also a pool room (the game not swimming) to keep you occupied. Also worth noting that they do Evening Meals for c£15 for three courses. Great value!

Only negative was no tv in room, however there is a lounge where guests can drink beverages (some great Belgium Beers) and watch TV.
