King size beds were a plus as well as 2 separate bathrooms. This is a great way to go when traveling with a group or a family. Laura was very helpful and friendly. We will return.
The furniture does show a little wear and is a little dated.
The location was not too bad (grand place, central station), however the little street where the hotel is located is a little bit shabby and dark. Breakfast was very nice, served in a little café around the corner.
Check-in was a desaster (no reception, just electronic keycodes): 1. Arriving at around midnight, the first code provided to open the main door did not work. Fortunately somebody let me in. 2. the second key provided for opening the safe did not work. Fortunately a very nice craftsman helped me to open the safe. 3. there was no envelope, nor a key for the room. Fortunately above mentioned gentlemen helped me out and gave me a room 4. there was no internet available, as I had no code, however this was promised. 5. the room was cold and hard to heat.
We liked the apartment, although a washing machine and dryer would have been most helpful. Very roomy and great beds.
The discrepancy between the email PIN NO. confirming the booking and the apartment PIN NO. allowing you into the front entrance. Very confusing! We didn't receive the PIN NO. to the front entrance until a few days prior to check-in and we had left NZ by then. Communication was not great.
Excellent location and a lot of space.
Good location and good room
No staff in weekend and I could not ask to keep my luggage after check out.
Great flat, in a central location. Beautiful bathroom, great flat.
Pity there wasn't an oven & couch could have been a little bigger.
Efficient check-in system. Very good privacy and security, staffless. Ideal for a business traveller or couple. For the same price as a hotel, you have a lot more space here to cook and relax. There must be around 30 to 40 apartements divided over 6 floors in this place.
I first had apartement 22 on the road side. Even with the double glazed windows firmly closed, the noise from the street was terrible all night. Next morning I was immediately assigned an apartment at the back. Shower area seems a bit stained in places If you like a place that provides staff to ask questions and order food or drinks, you should look for a hotel. This place is for self-service, independent travellers, who know how to find their way around. Paid WIFI is just very silly and petty in 2014. I hope the EU will soon adopt new laws to abolish this kind of add on services:)
Plenty of space, kitchen, living space, as well as bedroom. Very good location
Paid wifi. I dont like to pay for wifi these days. Its just as necessary as water and electricity.
Location was very central, room a very good size, kitchen area a bonus
parking, although convenient to the property it was a nightmare to get into, a very very tight entrance on a busy narrow street
Privacy is guaranteed.
On the first day of my stay, i was very much frightened when fire alarm started to operate with ear deafening sound and there were no staff to explain what is happening. i could not find 'do not disturb' card to hang on the outside of my door. There was no chain lock on the door from inside.
Alarm going off in the morning for ages
The apartment was spacious and the location was very convenient.
Free wifi would be better. We were woken up by the fire alarm.
the fact that i have been a regular customer over the last years but a date change in advance was not allowed. I will not use this apartment again; it is too inlfexible even with notice. No soap, no toilet paper, the key was not where it was meant to be.... in short a drama after an 8 hour flight plus travel!
Friendly reception. Overall 7/10
Not clean enough. My partner couldn't sleep well because of buzzing traffic even though we were on the 3th floor. Phone did not work and the toilet continously was running with water.
Location and the bed rooms.
Apartment was fairly unclean in the sense the living room couches had too many stains.
The location of the Grand Place apartments is brilliant, very close to Grand Place and a short walk from Central station. We found the apartment very spacious and clean and gave a great base for exploring Brussels. for such a central location we found the rooms very quiet and had a great nights sleep! We requested a early check in also due to the timing of our flight and this wasn't a problem.
Nothing! Maybe the Wifi is a bit pricey but we didn't use it so didn't matter.
Space and Location is excellent
If you did not receive an e-mail before the time with the check in procedures you will have great difficulty to check in. These are apartments - with no staff to assist
The location is super great that was the only thing that this not-hotel provides.
I couldn't figure out how I could get in to the building. I called them and no one answered. I flied from Tokyo so imagine you're exhausted after 15hrs flight and you can get in to a building. It was a disaster. My PIN code didn't work so I couldn't check in either. Someone pooed in the lift and no one was cleaning it since no one was there, I used stairs carrying my luggages. Horrible horrible service and it is not cheap. They take quite money for wifi service. I will never use or recommend to anyone.
Friendly attention of the staff we did meet. The place was kept clean, and your establishment is very central.
There was a fire alarm that went off. No one was available to tell what to do. Suggest you have printed notice in every room telling people what to do. Luckily it was a false alarm and no damage was done.
The position of the apartment. We enjoyed having space.
Apartment 14 was very dark (we had to have the lights on all the time) and the shower/wash basin next door was very noisy preventing us from sleeping and making us feel as though their bathroom was in our bedroom. The only tea we had was two mint tea bags for our five day stay and although we left the empty packets to be replaced on the Friday, we were not given any replacements of anything. Our towels were never changed. Our only bar of soap was removed and not replaced. We managed to get extra toilet rolls for the weekend but no extra shampoo etc. My sister who stayed in Room 48 for three days had only one and half toilet rolls for two people which had to last three days. From Friday morning until Monday morning there was no one available to ask for anything. We had a phone number for emergencies only. We did not feel that it was four star. We booked well in advance after being told there were few rooms available but before our visit the price had dropped. We could have cancelled and re booked an apartment but we thought we would have got a poorer room. We now feel we were given a very poor apartment at a high price. My sister's room (Room 48) was large with plenty of daylight and larger wardrobes and it was a much better price although she did not have a dishwasher or sink. She did have a kettle, coffee maker, microwave, sofa etc. and plenty of space and it was value for money. Ask for a high floor so that you can see daylight. We never saw the sun. We were very disappointed.
Room location. Lot of traffic noise in the night.
No free internet. The price is exagerated. Other hotels offer thsi free. Why charge for this???? About question 3, my opinion is neutral. About question 2: I can't comment about the team, beacase there is none. I just saw a young woman (very polite and sypathetic) wishing to check my Visa and asking for permission to take o photo of it. Stange, unusual, never seen. Paymente was already done via booking.com. About cleaning, towels were never changed even when droped in the floor acordingly with the usual code. So, my opinion is mainly neutral.
Great location although a little hard to find. Good access although no reception, but sadly no wifi operating when we were there. Very functional.
The location is perfect, very close to central station and Grand Place. It is clean and comfortable. But in the kitchen there are only microwaves, water heater and cutleries, no stove.
Make sure your payment is done before you get into the hotel, otherwise you should go to their head office in Amboix Square (which take 20 mins by bus) to pay it there, since there is no receptionist in the hotel. And the receptionist in that office is cold and have problem of cant smiling. It bothers me since I have traveled all the way to the office, i expect at least a friendly staff. Also, bare in mind that you should pay for Wifi and it cost 10 Euro per night, and you can only use up to 2 device.
Beautiful room, clean, nice.
It was very difficult to find, no other locals had heard of the street. Perhaps provide written description of directions from different places such as the metro stop or Grand Place.
