The quirkiness and charm of this property is great and the effort that Hugo has made to provide a wealth of local knowledge is incredible. The complimentary bottle of wine was much appreciated, and the daily breakfast tray was pure brilliance
The shared bathroom, although we were made aware of this before we booked
Hugo is a fantastic host. Breakfast was excellent.
This hotel was like a home for us. Hugo created a great atmosphere in this place. Giant rooms in Japan style - 3 rooms and a bathroom, wonderful breakfast with coffee, milk, juice and cacao, fresh bread, meet and cheese. Bottle of wine after arriving was a present from Hugo. The nicest place for relax and feel the atmosphere of Brugge. Really want to come back in Brugge & B&B Lady Jane
The owner made us feel very welcome, he's a funny and knowledgeable guy. He provided us with excellent info (intel :)) about the good places of Bruges. Also he made us a great breakfast!
We went to lady jane bed and breakfast with my boyfriend for three days, at the end of spetember, in the ''Japan'' room.It was one of the best stays we've had in all of our trips. The owner was very warm and he made sure that we never missed anything. Also he was very discreet, epsecially as far as our breakfast was concerned. No matter what time we would wake up, the breakfast was waiting for us in the big dining room, which included from coffee and orange juice to tasty bread with numerous jams. Finally, i want to point out how spacious the rooms were, and also the fact that we had 3 different areas ( dining room, bedroom and a nice bathroom with a jacuzzi) entirely at our disposition, so practically, an entire floor. I also loved the japanese decoration and the beuatiful kimonos that were also at our disposition :)
The location is great, on a quiet street in the center of town. Owner was friendly and was able to give some good advice.
In our room, the bed was up a small spiral stairs. Also, the bed was only a mattress.
We stayed in the Africa room at Lady Jane bnb. Hugo was a welcoming host, the room was large and comfortable, and the breakfast was delicious!
If you're not good with stairs, make sure you get a different room - the Africa room has an extra winding staircase.
Hugo's hospitality Very big room (house)
Hugo was really friendly and the B&B was in a great location in the centre of Bruges. Hugo left a folder with plenty of information on places to go nearby, including recommended restaurants. The breakfast was also delicious, and served outside the room each morning. Would definitely stay again!
Hugo, the owner, was a font of local knowledge, recommending various restaurants to dine in nearby. His helpful home-made maps made sightseeing very easy and we found him to be extremely friendly and affable. The B&B is a lovely 10 minute stroll into the town centre and is located in a quiet neighbourhood area but with shops, restaurants & bars all easily accessable. We stayed in the Japan room which is basically an entire floor including a living room and library! There's so much to love about Lady Jane I could be here all day - definitely a great place to stay.
The room (Japan) was decorated beautifully and it was huge. The shower was fine and had enough pressure. Breakfast was really tasty and there was more than enough of it.
The floors were quite squeaky, so that whenever I was moving around the otherwise perfectly silent building, I was terrified of the noise I was making.
Staying at Lady Jane for the weekend in Bruges was like the cherry on a cake. Hugo, the owner, was really helpful, adviced us with nice restaurants, took care of the car, even gave us a welcoming bottle of wine. The decoration of the room (africa theme) was suprising at first, but then turned out to be very entertaining! It was very comfortble and spacious. The breakfast was copious and fresh. All in all we loved the place!
Nothing wrong at all :)
Good location, awesome breakfast, very pleasant owner, excellent value for money!
Spacious room with a comfortable bed, chairs and a nice table to eat the substantial breakfast provided with your room. Hugo was especially helpful & informative.
While we had to share a bathroom with another room on our floor, it didn't present any difficulty in using it when we wanted to.
Great breakfast served to the room´s door Nice and helpful owner Working heating in the room
Shared bathroom and wc but this is written in room´s specifications
This B&B is great! Hugo (the owner) is very friendly. Breakfasts are very good. The location is perfect. The owner helped us to not pay for parking which is on the street he also helped us when we had problems with the car. Rooms was clean and tidy. It is a perfect place for a couple.
Hugo was a fantastic host ! Would definitely return to wonderful Brugge and lady Jane.
Great location Lovely room Good breakfast Welcoming host
Parking not always available close to accommodation
Clean, beautiful and well decorated spacious and amazing room. Rich and very good breakfast with plenty of choices. Very helpful staff. Fairly good location, only 10-15 minutes walk from the centre
The only minus could be the parking. In quiet area with possibility of parking in the street but required time disk during the day and only allowed for a few hours(The owner offered to change it for me). It's only a minor minus ... Still great place where to stay
Fabulous homely apartment style accommodation perfectly located within this beautiful city. Proper coffee in the room, nice glasses, crockery make you feel your being made comfortable rather than just being accommodated, lovely to sit drinking coffee by the big window..only wish I'd had a longer time..good information package giving good local info, hope to return..
The apartment is on the 3rd floor and there is a spiral stair to the bed, this would not suit everybody but there is not a lot to dislike about this lovely place..
This review was seriously overdue :) Would like to thank our host for the wonderful stay and great support finding our way around!! - incredible catalog put together value over price! - very detailed vintage preserved interior. Nice 2 day get-away from the noisy cities.
Hugo was so helpful and was very welcoming especially after a delayed euro tunnel journey from UK. The room was extremely good size and and even though at the top of the house, Hugo carried my heavy case up all the stairs. Breakfast was served on a tray to your room and had more than ample food and so nicely presented too.
Hugo is a gracious and helpful host. After spending several weeks throughout Europe in "budget" hotels, the Lady Jane was, by far, the best value.
The owner (Hugo) is nice person, helpfull and friendly. We've had arrived earlier than check in was but he let us to take shower, drop off our luggages and gave us a map and explained where we should go to explore city center. Room (africa) is very spacious, with flat screen tv and 2 sofas and dining table.. overall it was very nice stay
The stairs which lead to bed in african room are very steep and small so its difficult to get up there
