Greer
Looking out over the wonderful River Meuse and in a renovated, 17th century convent, this classic hotel offers quality accommodations near the historic heart of Liège. The Ramada Plaza Liège City offers comfortable guest rooms, free parking space and an easily accessible location via the highways. You’ll be minutes from Liège airport, the university and the industrial parks of Herstal, Vise, Angleur and Sart Tilman. The refined restaurant is in the original, 17th century wing of the building, which used to be where the monastery was located. Enjoy delightful, contemporary cuisine in this authentic setting and make your dinner a unique experience. Weather permitting, the wonderful terrace offers a great place to sit out and admire the spacious courtyard. You can easily reach the historic quarter, with its tourist attractions and shopping districts, by foot or via public transportation. Hotel Rooms: 149, Hotel Chain: Ramada.

Nice Hotel, good sized room etc but spoiled by a number of details. eg No mini-bar in room; no bar near reception (need to go outside and to the restaurant); insufficient tea/coffee bags; bathroom door catches your knuckles; very little storage space; no drawers and only a single wardrobe. Seemed to be set up for short stay business people and not leisure stays.

Location very good and hotel quiet. Staff helpful Bedrooms: Good size and well equipped. Restaurant: used for dinner on one evening - pleasant atmosphere , food quality and quantity good, service good; staff very helpful, Reception/lounge very comfortable and well equipped (but see comments below regarding lack of bar facilities in this area) Executive room:- king size bed but quilt rather small just fitted the bed with no overhang; difficulty to control the room temperature adequately; mini bar fitted but not stocked. Reception area:- whilst ideal for sitting there were no bar facilities in this area. The bar was situated some distance away in the restaurant. Breakfast: good selection of food but the 'hot' dishes were only just lukewarm; tea and coffee facilities were self-service and this lead to unnecessary delay even during quiet periods.

Location was close to the town centre. The room was large and comfortable and the staff were polite and helpful. The only complaint we had was that the room smelled of smoke when we arrived. The next day, when we got back to the room, we had the same problem. Since neither my husband or I smoke, we can only assume it was the cleaning staff.

Extremely comfortable hotel with excellent city centre location. Only used for overnight stay en route to final destination, but would have been happy to stay longer.

The main hall and the room in general were very big and decorated in a modern design; also the staff at welcoming was very friendly. It was close to my meeting venue. The wifi worked well - even if the hotel staff recommended it would only work in the lobby. The lightning system was terrible - you had to press a combination of switches to turn the lights on (and after 3 nights I still do not knwo how to turn them off); so I tried to phone 3 times in the reception and they did not pick up, the cleaning staff could not explain. So it was, turn out the light bulbs (which I did) or sleep with lights on! In addition, during these freezy days now, there was only a very noisy airconditioning which heated the room enough when turned on during the whole day. (So, leave a message that the cleaning staff won't turn it off.) At night I recommend to get some earplugs or not come in winter time at all. Finally, the area around it was not really nice and I was recommended not to walk at night to a restaurant (or back) on my own. But of course, this is not the hotels fault!

My room was located on the 6th floor. The windows were in very bad shape. Due to strong winds at night, it was very loud in the room and I was forced to use earplugs to get some sleep.

What a beautiful hotel, we arrived after a long journey and were pleased to be able to park in the hotel's carpark free of charge and welcomed by the charming receptionist. Our room was incredibly spacious with a wonderfully comfortable king sized bed. The room and bathroom was spotless. Would definitely stay again Went down for breakfast an hour before end of service to find that no tables had been relaid and had to find our own cutlery and table mats. There were only two members of staff on duty. Very few breakfast food items available and at 15 euros per person felt that the price was a little excessive for what was on offer.

Free parking The hotel was ok, pretty much standard chain hotel. Nice breakfast room in old convent. Price was ok, breakfast ok nothing special. Room was ok again nothing special but location was poor really for city exploring, although we did go into centre(about 20 mins walk through poor area with a lot of traffic). Would I stay again, probably not but it is ok for an overnight in transit. Free parking is very good though.

Rooms were very good, clean and comfortable. There was secure underground parking in the garage for our motorcycles which was a bonus. Although the walk into the city was relatively short, it is through a fairly seedy part of town and I wouldn't be too comfortable after dark in that area. The hotel is located right on the river which is on the outskirts of the town centre.

Our stay at Ramada was a disappointment. Our room was basic, and very small. It was supposed to be a 200+ euro room that was discounted to 130, but its hard to believe that this hotel can normally ask 200 euros for such a small room. Our view was a wall, at a 2 meters distance. Only one out of three elevators was working, and there was no information available on the cause, or on whether the hotel was trying to fix the problem. The breakfast was fine, but I had expected a bit more from a hotel that claims to be a high quality place.
