Everything was great. The host, Theo was more than hospitable and the accomodation very cosy. The location is very good, 2 minutes far from Grand Place, the breakfast was delicious and diversified, they changed the towels every day.
No negative points. We stayed here for 6 days and no reason to be unsatisfied.
I was absolutely thrilled at the service level, the welcoming host and the spacious room. This is definately one to remember for future travels. The ability to leave your bags there after check out and still have access to tea and coffee was a real bonus. Located right next to pulic transport I would have no hessitation in recommending this to every traveler.
I could not fault our stay
I stayed one night in the hotel, but after seeing the room, if I could I would stop few days more. Very clean, comfortable and centrally located. Highly recommended.
Mr. Theo is very nice!
Proximity from the grand palace. Cleanliness is excellent, feeling like okay to sleep on the carpet. The owner of the hotel may have good sense of turning around the old building into very affordable accommodation.
Discounting it's in the city centre, music at pubs adjacent to the hotel grates nerves. Small kids must be watched at steep stairs.
Good size room and bed is big....owner was nice and very helpful
Perfect place to discover Brussels, Grand Place and many shops and restaurants in walking distance. Metro station just in front, only 2 stops from Gare du Midi. Spacious rooms, all so very clean. Possibility to make coffee/tee (little kitchen with fridge) on the floors. Such nice furniture, arranged with taste and style. Not to forget the breakfast, coffee, tea, eggs, ham and cheese, jam, fresh orange juice - all offered with so much charme. Un grand merci, Theo, je vous recommande à tous mes amis, ca c'est sur!
Just a remark: The stairs are REALLY steep!
Friendly, welcoming staff, stylish accommodation, clean and comfortable. Delicious breakfast and super coffee!
Nothing at all really - but would like to have had one of the rooms with a bath. Next time perhaps!
-Good location, very nice and friendly staff, good breakfast, comfortable big room with a big bathroom
great location in the centre of Brussels but still in a quiet street, friendly and helpful stuff, good breakfast
stairs are steep
Very high standard of decoration & modern. Comfortable beds, room was nice and warm all the time in spite of very cold weather & very quiet due to the double, double glazing. The staff were excellent hosts & very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was also very good
Can't fault anything at all.
The staff(owner?) was very helpful & very friendly. He gave very good advice about what to see/do. Breakfast was great. I really liked the small kitchen that was available: stove, sink, microwave, dishes, coffee/tea. Very nice!
The room we had was painted dark brown. Seemed gloomy. There are an inordinate number of steep stairs to climb up. The stairs/hallway smelled weird. I was a little surprised that Brussels doesn't have English TV.
We like the location which is quite near to everywhere. Actually, it's not a hotel, it's a house whose rooms are rented. But I think it's value for money. The breakfast also good when you compare with the alternatives, it's superb actually.
The heater wasn't on when we stayed in the hotel which was late october by the way, so it was a little bit cold inside. There are no disposable bathroom products like soap, shampoo etc. either. Also, when you're carrying a big heavy luggage, watch out because the stairs are too steep and narrow, obviously no elevator because it's an old building.
Excellent location, nice large rooms, friendly staff. My room was particularly good; my mother was staying in a different room that was good. There were good (shared) kitchen facilities.
Several small problems with my mother's room; faulty tap in the toilet room, which the hotel should have resolved before we booked in. Rooms were clean on arrival; standard of cleaning after arrival was OK.
The guys were very tentative and friendly - location was superb!
Location, room decor was amazing esp white brick tile bathroom
