Hotel BelvedereAvenue Emile Bossaert N°5, Sint-Agatha-Berchem / Berchem-Sainte-Agathe, 1081 Brussels (Show map) Good, Score from 135 reviews“Excellent location for visiting Bruxelles, metro station is at 10 mins by walking or bus station is across the street.”

Iasi
Situated halfway between the North Station and the Basilica of Brussels, this hostel was entirely renovated in 2005, yet dates back to the last century. Ideally located on Avenue Emile Bossaert in the heart of the European capital, here you will find traditional and comfortable rooms, well-equipped with TVs and showers or bathtubs. The Belvédère is across from the Basilica of the Brussels, the 5th most imposing in the world, as well as being conveniently placed near several parks. Hotel Rooms: 8

The hotel is a small family run operation. It is conveniently located a short strol from the metro station. The price is very afordable and it is excellent value for money. The view from the window is of course the magnificent basilica, fifth larges in the world. Had I been located somewhere else I hould have most certainly missed it. The neighborhood is not touristy, nestled on a wide but quiet road with a few nice pastry shops and restaurants close by (some across the street and some close to the metro station). I was on a budget and was happy with my choice, even more so since it was a pure chance. The management was kind and showed a nice mix of genuine concern and professionalism. Free wi-fi was really handy too! For some people the staircase which is narrow and steep, as this is a piece of old architecture, may be a bit of a challenge but it is nothing that cannot be dealt with fairly easily.

Not centric but strategically located. You can reach the city center in about 10 minutes through the tunnels if you go by car. We did not take the public transport but it was said it was easy to get the city center with it as well. Our room was big and cozy and had a nice view to the Basilica of the Sacred Heart. Beds were comfortable and big enough. Stairs which lead to the rooms were vertically dangerous and it stank everywhere because the whole building had been recently painted. The shower on the highest floor was not made for normal height people. Roof's shape made having a shower on that bathtub a little uncomfortable, but ok. Finally, the man at the reception -don't look for more service than him and the cleaner during the morning- was polite but easy to stress out and unable to give proper answers to all of our demands. For example, the TV did not work well, at least on the highest floor. He was saying that the TV on the highest floor must work properly because TV signal was good at the reception. Never came to his mind the possibility of going upstairs and see what was happening there which make the TV signal that poor. That was the proof that he knew what was happening and he was not going to do anything to fix it, just leaning on lame excuses. Definitively not made for long stays and families.

The room was very comfortable, there was a grocery store close by, and the staff was attentive. We were on the "3rd" floor, which took 8 flights (shorter than normal, granted) to get to. The staircases were rather narrow. I would not recommend this hotel for anyone with a knee or other walking problem. It is located very close to the metro (I *think* it's the end of number 19...). I definitely recommend contacting the hotel for directions before trying to find it. All in all, a great place to stay! :-)

Very nice and friendly staff. The view from the 3th floor on the Basilica is perfect. Easy to get to the centre of Brussel. Good value/price ratio. If you have problems with walking upstairs than this hotel is not for you, especially the higher floors.

Friendly staff. Close to Metro lines to the center and to Atomium/Mini- Europe. I'd call it a b&b, not an hotel. Noisy street at night and very poor sound isolation. The most expensive stay in the 4 cities of Belgium we visited, with the lowest quality even as far from the center as it was.

The room is very big and comfortable, compared to its price. The shared bathroom is also nice and clean. Though the location is a bit far from centre, but it's easy to reach there by metro and tram. Very convenient. There is no lift and the stairs are quite narrow so if you plan to bring large luggage it's better to ask for the room in below floors.

To access the Hotel you can take metro line 2 or 6 direction simmons Elizabeth. From Simons Elizabeth you can take tram 19 in opposite direction of De Wand. I forgot the actual name, but it is the direction opposite of De Wand. My stay was good. Excellent customer service from the staff who are multi lingual. Loved the location being a little out of town, away from the noise of the city center. The metro system is easily accessible. Hotel overlooks Great church which provides one of the best panorama views of Brussels. Recommend it for young business/leisure travellors

The hotel is very small, but that does not matter at all. The employees are very, very friendly!! The hotel might not look that good from outside, but the rooms are really new (new furniture), very clean and the size is really optimal for a few nights. I really enjoyed the stay but I have to say that the additional breakfast for 7 Euro is not worth its price (included orange juice, coffee/tea with milk, jam, butter, too much toasted toast, not toasted toast bread, one croissant (I think it was from the day before);). I would rather recommend to have breakfast in the city.

hotel is cheap. ok if a bed is all you require, staff helpfull. good conections to metro, about 3km from central brussells. but dont walk, not recomended. parking on street centre of road, insecure, unsafe, glass on road where windows have been smashed. hotel is on busy main road, opens straight on to pavement. at busy junction. breakfast is not good,[no meat, kraft cheese toast] better to go buy your own, at half the price.

Upgraded to a triple room for the price of a single - nice surprise. The innkeeper was very nice and tried to fulfill my requests. The room and bathroom were very large. Access by metro to tram is very easy (metro #2 or #6 to Simonis and tram 19 Groot-Bijgaarden to Boassaert (2 stops). Tram drops you across the street from the hotel. Did not stay for breakfast. I would recommend this hotel with the caveat that there is no elevator and the stairs are very steep and narrow - use caution. For a large city, the price was reasonable and the room was clean and spacious. The stairs are very steep and narrow. Fortunately the innkeeper carried my bags up the stairs for me. I had only a small rolling suitcase. I don't know if one could take a large suitcase up the stairs. I had Room 3 which faced a busy intersection so there was a great deal of street noise. Innkeeper requested I leave the key with him when I went out in the evening and ring the bell for access. Apparently he has had keys "walk off" - interesting.

Excellent location for visiting Bruxelles, metro station is at 10 mins by walking or bus station is across the street. Rooms were clean, big enough unfortunately without a window(light come from a glass wall - on double standard room). Another plus is the possibility of free parking around the hotel. Very friendly and helpfull owner. Don't expect to take big luggage on the room(there's no elevator and the stairs are preety narrow).

Near metro station (10 min walk).Cheap hotel. Don't expect the Ritz, here. Real backpacker type hotel. Get used to the homeless people looking for empty bottles outside the hotel. Faces a noisy street. But overall no complaints because you pays for what you get.
