Excellent location near highway between Gent and Brugge. It was the best place for us to visit both cities by car. Breakfast was included in the price and it was very good. The room was clean and comfortable with all facilities we needed. Staff was very friendly and helpful. We spent excellent 2 night in the hotel. It is rather an entry level 4-stars hotel than a high end 4-stars.

The hotel is well located for visiting the nearby Cities og Brugge,Ghent and Brussels using the execellent railway service from the local station(10 min walk). Hotel staff and atmosphere are both excellent

The staff were excellent, with near perfect English, great senses of humour, and extremely efficient. The food was good, the room spacious ( we had the Suite) and comfortable, with quiet air conditioning. It was ideally placed for us to attend events at Ursel over the weekend. I loved the range of Belgian beers. Wonderful stuff! The free car parking outside was really good. Chairs in the dining room are too low. It feels as though you have your nose on your plate! That's all. Can I have a cushion next time please.

We were towing a rowing boat trailer and they were very helpful in us getting in parked and the service was of a very high standard all round and very good value for money. The only slight design fault were the showers as the water flood the whole bathroom and started to go out the door, other than that is was a very good stay albeit short. Thanks

The hotel is about 15min drive from Gent. Restaurants, shops, an excellent bakery are in walking distance. Rooms are clean, breakfast is nice. View to a cemetery is a bit strange and I did not like the idea to pay 25 eur per hour to use the sauna.

Location is good and the small town has an excellent choice of food. Quite understaffed and the only two hotel staff employed are very defensive and ready to argue about anything. Basically it is 'as they like' so be warned! Rooms are decent size but a little shabby with scuff marks on all walls. Bathrooms are a good size but the shower is badly desined and floods the floor. Not being allowed to check -in before 4pm was a problem too.

This Hotel was friendly and adequate but I would not describe it as Four Star,,,average Three Star probably. Easy to find and plenty of free parking.

We were booked for just one night on our way back to the uk. The staff were polite and helpful, the room and facilities immaculate and comfortable. Food was excellent and we were provided with knowledgeable advice on the beer. On checking out, we intended to go sightseeing in Brugges before ferry home that evening, we were given a map and advice regarding parking which was brilliant and saved a lot of time and trouble. We will definately use the Hotel Orchidee in the future. Many thanks and compliments to all of the staff.

Close to motorway good breakfast room large very comfortable we had a meal in the restaurant but my wifes lasagna was over cooked and dry. I had pasta it was okay. All told good value would stay again.

Very Pleasant hotel set in a small town 20Km from Bruges - the reason we chose it. We were travelling in high season, needed car parking (considered as part of hotel cost) and internet for our next booking where ever that may be. The breakfast was very good and the restuarant served very generous meals, even the childrens portions. When we decided to leave one night early the manager was extremely helpful at contacting the booking agent (booking.com) and did not charge us for leaving early at the last minute.

Location was perfect. Front desk attendant very helpful & friendly. Nice breakfast. Room was clean, but the walls were considerably marked up and the bottom mattress / spring box was exposed and stained. Tv also small compared to other hotels in this price range.

Fantastic hotel! Lovely rooms, helpful friendly staff, ample free parking, great breakfast (included in the booking.com rate i went for, making the booking good value), free wi-fi. Really cannot fault the place at all! nothing. :-)

Have stayed many times at this hotel, as it is the most convenient to visit my client in aalter, which has a very limited choice of hotels. Both piet and bart are obliging and made our stay comfortable Not stayed at any other hotel in aalter so do not have anything to compare it with.
