The staff were very helpful and went over and above to help us. The location was perfect - we went to a concert at the Botanique. We were very comfortable in our room, was perfect.
There wasn't any negatives of our trip
The decoration, the staff (specuallt the man who is during the nigths in the reception with glasses), the confort of the beds, and the amenities in the bathroom.
The unique 2 points to mention are that the first day, we could not use the main bar as there was a private event there, and we were very disappointed, as wanted to use it, and there was no possibility to use another, as the hotel only has one... I work also in hotels. Another point is that the housekeeper did not fold our pijamas in the whole week, and surprise us that detail, as is the first time it happens to us (and we travel all over the world a lot...).
Comfort Silent beddrooms Decoration Staff Breackfast Cleanliness
Few staff at the reception, altough very kind and professional
Great décor - very modern & funky. Staff were very friendly & helpful. Rooms were a good size, with a fridge you could keep your own items in. Great location - 10/15 mins walk from the train station (which is only 15/20 mins from the airport, the first stop) and only a 15 minute walk to the main attractions around Grand Place.
Wifi reception wasn't very good and breakfast is very overpriced, although the waffle van in the breakfast room is very cool!! Overall little to complain about & would def stay again!
I liked that they gave a 5 euro voucher if you didn't get your room cleaned. However I went to the bar to try to use it and the staff were completely unfriendly and ignored me! Left without getting anything. By contrast the bar and restaurant at similar motel 9 were nicely decorated, more full of people and friendlier.
The hotel is far from the center of town and conference center. I walked by motel 9 on the way which is advertised as a similar vibe. However motel 9 had a more friendly bar and foyer. It was also considerably closer. Wish I had stayed there instead! On my last day I was leaving at 5 am. I asked about booking a taxi. The girl at the desk told me it would be 40 euro and would order me a taxi. In the morning I found I had been ordered a private car and the price was 55 euros: a very little thing but i felt I had been cheated.
Breakfast was excellent and the room was very clean.
The AC was very low and the room temperature was cold.
Hotel is close to Botanique metro station so quite convenient. It's also walking distance to comic strip center. Reception staff were friendly and efficient. Breakfast is delicious and very varied. True twin set up in the room and bathroom - including enough towel hanging space which is a rarity. Really like staying here when in Brussels
Room was overheated and unable to cool it sufficiently.
Nice & friendly reception Returning visitors get specials The bar is a must for couples
Everything is perfect, good location, breakfast s quite expensive so we didnt take it. However, it seems delicious
extra duvet added promptly when I was cold at night. Quirky design.
bathroom sink with more style than substance. Brought my own breakfast rather than pay 25€.
The room was clean, spacious and comfortable. Breakfast was good with a lot of options and very filling. The bar area was nice with polite friendly staff.
Room had very little storage and no where practical to sit in front of a mirror when a lady is doing her hair. Our rooms also overlooked a very busy main road and despite being on the 7th floor some older members of our party found it too noisy. The toaster at breakfast needs throwing in the bin and it didn't work correctly. Room amenities (tea, coffee etc.) were not refreshed one day and the glasses were not cleaned/replaced.
Very helpful, happy staff couldn't do more to help! Hotel was lovely and modern with great clean facilities. Thanks for a great stay
The rooms are spacious and have a real luxury, tredny feel. The whole hotel is on trend and welcoming. Would absolutely stay again.
The breakfast on Sunday was manic. Queued for over 20mins to be seated. the room was full and this showed in terms of food and drink quality and of course the staff were too pre-occupied to be particulalry welcoming. Monday however redeed itself and the relaxed feel of the hotel returned.
Modern feel, informal. Great size rooms. Friendly staff. Have been coming here for years.
Location near Botanique means it is a long walk to centre, but this is balanced by it being next to metro. Neighbourhood getting a bit run down.
Rooms, comfort, wifi, breakfast is good.
Restaurant meal was very poor. Chicken Caesar salad was not a Caesar salad so don't advertise it as such and the chicken was horribly dry and overcooked. The burgers in the hotel are cheap pre-prepared mass produced things that were very unpleasant. Both myself and my eating companion left the whole thing and the restaurant staff didn't even have the courtesy to ask why. Very poor indeed. Maybe we just chose very badly off the menu - maybe not!
Reception staff were helpful Beds were extremely comfortable
Bar staff weren't helpful - Charged 3.5 euros for a tumbler of tap water for my 10yr old son - really! A 5euro voucher advertised for guests who didn't need their room serviced on any given day never materialised
Bath & shower could be more modernized Expensive parking
Check in , check out smooth
I had a 65% discount, therefore the hotel was awesome. However, don't think I'd pay 330 euros for that experience. The location of the Hotel is great, and the breakfast served there is just amazing.
The location, the friendly helpful staff, and the attractive styling
Comfy bed and quiet room
Windows dirty on the outside. Could hardly see the view. No teaspoon to make drinks. No iron or ironing board
Well located with easy access to Metro line (2,6) or tram (92,94) and from there 5 min to Louise or Le Petit Sablon (or walking 15 min). The are may look strange but it is very safe. The Carrefour shop in front of the Hotel is a plus. The decor is nice and modern.
bar closed on Sunday night
modern atmosphere, safe area, quick check-in & check out
the room isn't 100% clean, not immaculately clean as I saw black marks on the wall and in the bathroom..though not really a big big deal
Lovely looking designhotel. Very comfy rooms, great breakfast and good location close to supermarket and subway.
Breakfast and parking are quite expensive, but very comfortable/good. City centre is accessible by foot, but it takes about 20 minutes.
- spacious rooms; - clean and tidy - great value
-double charge (I didn't know - that they will reserve money as insurance and later I was charged again)
