The location in Bruges was second to none. The breakfast was good. The staff were very accommodating with parking my motorbike by the hotel on the terrace.

The staff were so friendly. Position of the hotel was perfect right beside a canal. Thoroughly magical place. Highly recommend it

Excellent location

No shower

We arrived quite late and the gentleman at the desk was great. The breakfast was lovely, the room was clean, and the beds very comfortable. The wifi worked, and it was nice to be able to make a cup of tea in our room. We were able to walk everywhere in Brugge, and were close to lots of good restaurants. Sitting by the canal on the terrace was beautiful.

Our room had a canal view, basement room, so we were 3 or 4 feet above the water. It was breathtaking to see the canal lit up at night and we had a great time watching the canal tours drive past our window. We even waived to a few. The hotel had a lift for upstairs rooms so if you are not able to carry your luggage up and down stairs you definitely do not want room 301 or 302. Breakfast was fine, the usual for Europe. One of the best parts was how central in brugge it was. We were able to see and do everything we wanted to do with a short walk.

Dragging our luggage across the cobble stones from the train station to the hotel, it is quite a walk. Doable but not very easy, the entire pavement in Brugge is cobble stone - sidewalks included. It is very charming but not very good on baggage. The shower in our bathroom had such a small enclosure attached to the tub that it was impossible not to make a mess on the floor with water spray.

Our budget room was nice enough but the window looked into a ugly heat duct and enclosed wall. If you pay another 30 euros you get a look into another hotel and street below. If you pay another 60 euros you get a beautiful window looking into the canal.

superb location 100 metres from main square, next to bridge where boats are hired from.

Room was very dark. Room wasn't very clean, had to rinse hairs from tiles before showering, previous occupant's brochures, credit card receipts etc left in room. King size bed was actually two singles, with kingsized sheet but two single duvets!!

The location is excellent and we had a canal view. Breakfast was nice and again possible to sit eating with a canal view. The secondary glazing was very good at blocking out unwanted sounds.

We clearly paid for the location. The hotel was clean and comfortable, but was showing signs of age. The rooms we had could certainly do with decorating. As regualr visitors to Bruges we were disapointed not to be able to get British Television in the room, none at all! Although there was a printed note in the guide to the hotel in our room saying they were sorry but it was beyond their control.

Excellent location! The view of our room looked right at the canal. The hotel is a few steps from the city center. Johannes Allewaert, the owner was very friendly, polite and accommodating. The hotel is older and will need to be renovated in the near future.

The staff was excellent and very helpful in giving suggestion on what one must do in the city.

The office was still closed when we has to check out. There were no instructions as to what to do with the key, but later sent them and email letting them know where I has left the key

Everything. Room with wonderful views of the canals, great and obliging staff, excellent breakfast choices. I have been staying here since the mid 1990's and would not stay in Bruges anywhere else. Highly reciommended.

This is very nice and is a good value. It has an elevator, compact room, but not bad. Smallish bathroom, but nice and it is clean. The breakfast is very good, more complete than most. Price very good but make your reservation 90 days ahead for the best deal.

The room was cleen, indeed, though I was unaware of the lack of a real shower and had to take my baths on the nasty bathtub. There is a lift, wich is a brilliant thing whdn carrying heavy luggage.

The staff, as everyone else in this town, was rude. When checking in, I told the man, first, that I might have a reservation and I was answered with a dry "I don't know if you have a reservation, you tell me", rudeness that followed on getting worse as I followed on the process. Later, a well educated lad took control in a lesser rude way, but the first impression was terrible. Later, I found that rudeness to the tourist is a constant in this lame town, terrible experience.
