the owner was friendly, accommodating, spoke great English and the place was perfect....very clean and modern in an older building!

The stylish simplicity of the decor in the room and the friendly service at reception and in the restaurant.

The breakfast was limited in choice of items despite there being three price options.

Very friendly hotel manager. Hotel located in the heart of the city. Romantic-style decorated large room. Good restaurant located right next (you get your breakfast there) to the hotel.

Spacious, newly refurbished room with all facilities including minibar, coffee and tea. large shower, flatscreen TV etc. great service. excellent price/quality wise

Just a suggestion, in stead of 6 and 8 Euro breakfast based on mainly bread and 15 Euro for a full fledge breakfast I think it would be greatly appreciated if there was an option in the range of 6-8 Euros with only fresh fruit and yoghurt ;-) .

The staff was fantastic and was so accomodating. They knew the area well and gave great suggestons as to what to see. The room was so comfortable and roomy, everything you could possibly want was provided. The decor was first class and very tastefully done. An old building completely renovated with care to preserve the character.

No onsite parking, but parking was within walking distance. We were there during some rainy days.

The staff were excellent, very friendly and even helped us find a parking space! A warm welcome on arrival and an excellent room to spend the night in. The associated restaurant was also very good as was the breakfast.

Very difficult to find when arriving by car unless you have a good map!

location was fantastic, you could not get nay more in the centre if you tried, right next to the basillica and the square

the stairs are steep, but are in tune with teh property, very modern and my room was excellent

The hotel is in the heart of the city and close to everything in walking distance! The restaurant attached to the hotel is excellent. We had a fabulous dinner and breakfast there! Everyone was very friendly and helpful! It is a new hotel..only 7 rooms.....very beautifully decorated!

Wish there were more rooms!!

This is a fabulous boutique hotel. Laurence, one of the owners, greeted us warmly and showed us to our room...love the personal touch! The hotel is new, but in an older building, so you have the modern comforts (new fixtures/decor) with the original stairs and wood flooring. Very lovely. It is clear that care was taken in redesigning the rooms. We had Room 7 on the top floor with an extra bed in a separate room and a huge bathroom. There is even a luggage elevator to bring the bags up! Overall clean, comfortable and worth the trip!

The staff at the Boutique Hotel Caelus VII was supperb!! Extremely friendly, and helpful!! The room was amazing, and very large. The bed, very comfortable. The hotel sits in a beautiful area of the city. There is also a restaurant attached that serves delicious food. I would definatley stay here again, as well as would recommend this place to anyone.

There was nothing to NOT like!! Exceptional Hotel!!

This is a lovely hotel with only 7 rooms which offers a very nice personel service, large rooms with coffee machine and spacious bathroom. Good location in the centre of Tongeren and 2 minutes walk to the weekly Antiques Fair. Beds very comfy.

There is a spiral staircase which may be a problem for anyone with mobility issues unless you request ground floor. Overall a beautiful hotel to which we will return.

The hospitality that we found in this small hotel made us feel at home (even if we were 2.500 km away). The rooms are excellent, with a fantastic decoration, lots os space. We took our son who even had a room for himself also with tv. Also the brasserie where we had dinner and breakfast was very nice with lots of sympathy from the waiters. Not very often an hotel exceeds our expectations as this one did.

This little boutique hotel is a true gem! Beautifully decorated luxurious rooms, all with an individual touch down to the smallest detail. Simply charming. The old building has been renovated with great taste and care maintaining many of the original features. Yet, the hotel offers all the comforts you could wish for - superbly comfortable beds, mini-bar, flat-screen TV, air conditioning, splendid spacious bathrooms. The location could not be better as the hotel is situated right in the heart of the town, next door to the town's Cathedral. Yet, it is very calm with its own little courtyard, and we truly enjoyed the calm and intimate atmosphere. And such a warm welcome! We felt at home the minute we arrived. The nice chats we had with the owner made our stay even more special for us. Breakfast was amazing, and the adjoining Brasserie Bazilek has delicious food. We ended up eating there twice (the desserts are just heavenly!). All in all, superb room, superb location, wonderful breakfast and superb hospitality. Will be going back for sure...

We had a wonderful stay, the staff we're very accommodating and room was lovely. The location was great too, right in the heart of Tongeren. Just wish we could have stayed longer.

This was a good location to the proximity of the Tongeren Antique market. The owners were pleasant, accommodating, and friendly. The breakfast that was included was outstanding. The service was outstanding. The bed was comfortable. We will stay here the next time we come back.

We would recommend to have a variety of pillows on the bed since all have different tastes in pillows...hard, soft, etc.

Wij troffen hier een gezellig ingericht hotel aan met de stijl en de charmes van een herenhuis, een vriendelijke ontvangst en een correcte service. Wij voelden ons er onmiddellijk thuis. Het hotel is qua ligging ideaal: alle 'highlights' van Tongeren binnen wandelafstand. En het ruime bijhorende Bazilik-restaurant zorgde niet alleen voor een rustgevend kader, wij konden er genieten van een gevarieerde, niet-alledaagse keuken. Dit hotel staat met een uitroepteken in ons adressenboekje aangemerkt.

Uitermate vriendelijk ontvangen. Tijdens het inchecken werd ons veel verteld over Tongeren en wat de bezienswaardigheden waren. Mooi historisch hotel met alle gemakken van deze tijd.

Niets

Erg vriendelijke mensen. Het is een klein hotel met 7 kamers. Hierdoor is het personeel erg vriendelijk en ze brengen zelfs je koffers naar de kamer. Het hotel zelf heeft geen voorzieningen voor ontbijt/lunch/diner maar het naast gelegen restaurant wel en lijkt er bij te horen, aangezien je vanuit het hotel rechtstreeks het restaurant binnen kan lopen. De eigenaar van het hotel was 's-morgens ook het in restaurant te vinden. Ontbijt en avondeten in het "bijbehorende" restaurant genoten en was lekker. Sanitair is helemaal van deze tijd en is goed verzorgd. Interieur is een mix van modern en klassiek. Ligt midden in het centrum van Tongeren is met de auto ook goed bereikbaar. Kamers zijn niet gehorig Bedden hebben een hogie instap en zijn goed van formaat ook slapen ze goed.

De smalle/steile trap naar boven. Deze is overduidelijk niet geschikt voor oudere mensen. Ook totaal ongeschikt om met koffers te betreden. Gelukkig zijn 3 van 7 kamers zonder trappen te bereiken en nog 1 kamer heeft wel een fatsoenlijke trap. Hou hier dus rekening mee tijdens het reserveren.

Kamer te donker. Uitzicht op binnenplaatsje. Store kapot, kon daarom s nachts het raam niet openen , bleef steken tegen de store , open badkamer , weinig licht om te lezen in bed.

Kortom,alles was perfect!!!

Behalve het Gallo-Romeins museum (dat om de hoek ligt) is er in Tongeren weinig te beleven. Niettegenstaande is het een mooie locatie midden in het historische centrum, ideaal voor een romantisch weekendje of midweek. Niet-alledaagse unieke stijl van kamers.
