Some of the staff were very nice and helpful, such as Barbara and the young woman trainee. The rooms were spacious and comfortable and well equipped
Our safe didn't work and was never fixed during our three-night stay, despite our requests. When we arrived at 11 pm on August 19, the male receptionist was slow and uncooperative. The room was not very clean and there was a lot of dust on the main door and carpet. The door key-cards frequently did not work, apparently because of our mobile phones which we tried to keep separate.
The room that we stayed in was really nice, completely remodeled, but they initially tried to stick us in a room that was ancient and looked like an old, dingy ski lodge. We had to fight them in order to get the room they advertise online. Once there, it was really a nice room. Nice hotel lobby, and furnishings were pretty nice and modern. Overall, I would probably stay again, if I ever felt the need to venture back to Brussels.
Almost all of the staff was very unfriendly, at best. Many of them were quite rude and made you feel like a major inconvenience (there were a couple exceptions). This isn't really a negative on the hotel, but there really isn't anyway to get food after a certain point in the night, I'd say around 9-10 pm ish. Just beware so that you aren't stuck buying from the hotel and getting a very grumpy room service delivery. Elevators are miniature, and stairs are also very small, but I feel that is much more common outside of the U.S.
the size of the room
the bathroom is outdated and wasn´t very cleaned.
rooms and bed were huge Shops and restaurants were close by
Large, comfortable bedrooms. Location slightly out of town - but still in a pleasant location and within short walk of city centre.
Breakfast very disappointing. Refurbishment taking place whilst staying, so no proper bar or restaurant facilities (wasn't notified at time of booking)
The fitness room was available at all times but early morning is the best time to use them. good location to travel around brussels. 3 stops away from zuid /midi station eurostar. When you come back to the hotel tired have a shower and relax in the sauna with the music on
great modern room big shower
cardio equipment in poor condition Breakfast too expensive, 27 Euro per person not much of a view
We stayed here as part of the Tomorrowland Global Journey package. The hotel itself was great, with good facilities and a decent breakfast buffet. Our rooms were huge, beds comfortable and very quiet at night.
The hotel was very under-staffed and those working were clearly very stressed about the number of guests staying during this weekend and customer service suffered a lot as a result. When asking simple questions (from room availability, to local restaurant recommendations), we were simply told "I don't know, ask tomorrow". At peak checkout time, there was one trainee handling the whole of reception! I felt so sorry for her, but it was clearly management's poor organisation that lead to the situation. When I called later in the day to urgently report jewellery left in our room, the receptionist asked if I could call back or send an email, as he was busy checking someone in. Was there really no one else I could talk to in the whole hotel??! I asked if he could put me on hold, but he eventually hung up on me.
Very good comfort, low price including breakfast, 4-star OK but not on the high-end
A little far from the subway station (almost 10 mn walk)
Large, comfortable room and good conference facilities
We requested and had a confirmation email that we should have two adjoining rooms, but when we arrived they assigned us rooms on two different floors and disclaimed responsibility, saying that they had only promised best efforts - which it seemed unlikely that they had done! The wifi is free for the first hour per stay, but thereafter expensive. In comparison, the Radisson, a similar hotel, has completely free wifi.
The staff at the reception is very helpful. Location is very good and near to metro. There are plenty of restaurants and you could also get food and necessities from supermarkets nearby.
Location very good if you are working in that area. Facilities good with a few minor quibles
Internet is not free! Could do with plugs in bathroom basins; In small gym ergometer still does not work (no battery?); they advertise Euro 19 dinner but one has to argue for it in the restaurant
Friendly and helpful staff. Great location and nicely-sized rooms.
Wifi has to be paid separately, which for a 4* business hotel in Brussels is an anacronysm. The rooms at the back are quiet from the street but noisy from the corridor (when other guests coming and going). Overpriced breakfast.
Good sized room, good facilities, Élégant bedroom, breakfast ok.
Location ok for shopping but A bit far from historic center. 3 subway stops from brussels MIDI train station. 10mn walk from Subway Louise stop.
Good location, clean room, very quiet despite city centre. We used room 52 and was very good.
Very spacious rooms
Check in was very slow
Front office staff were very friendly, rooms were very modern and clean.
Restaurant meals, could be cheaper.
The price is good
I received an upgrade as I was spending 3 nights at the hotel. This was a nice suprise. The room was a good size and so was the bathroom. The breakfast selection was good.
The lamps in my room didn't work and neither did the lights near the wardrobe. The french door did not close properly and I felt a bit vunerable despite being on the 7th floor. I used the gym one morning around 6am and was the only person in there. Being located in the basement I felt that if anything was to happen to me it would take a while to notify someone as apart from a male cleaner who came to change the towels there were no other staff members visible. After 45 minutes I decided it was too risky being there by myself and I cut short my workout. In the breakfast room guests were asked to wait to be seated, most mornings there was no one to greet me and after waiting for what seemed like far too long I seated myself. There were other staff waiting on tables and I must admit I felt as if they were ignoring me. On my first morning I waited at the reception for approx. 20 minutes to ask them to order a taxi for me. The young lady on reception was alone and had to deal with many guests wanting to check out and ask various questions. The reception was under staffed and this poor young lady was doing her best to keep everything under control but many guests were upset with the insufficient cover. A couple of guests asked her to get more help and wanted to speak to the Manager, she did try to get more help but help didn't come. The Manager did not pick up the phone when one of the guests tried calling his/her number. It was not a pretty sight. It was obvious there were staff shortages but no solution was implemented to avoid long waiting times at such a peak period of the day.
Some of the staff were friendly, such as the concierge. The location was excellent and very convenient. The breakfast was excellent.
Some of the staff were not friendly nor helpful. For the price paid, the in-room facilities were relatively few. Also, for a business hotel, in-room wifi should be included (if it was, I was not informed about it). Even cheap hostels would have this facility absolutely free.
already had previous stays at this hotel. In many cases the check-in and check-out procedure took too long. Last time check-out lastet 20 minutes. Unacceptable. Only one lady behind the desk. Huge queue of complaining customers. No improvement. Other staff said "this is not my problem". A hotel unworthy.
The reservation, made by my secretary clearly stated me as the customer. This was not recognized by the hotel. Only after checking under my secretary's name, were they able to identify the reservation. The room given to me was the small corner room and in my opinion not worth the price, which seemed valid for all the rooms.
-Only 1 staff doing check-in so we queued 30 minutes just to get the key; - Out of order jacuzzi; staff not aware of this; - The "escapade romantique" room was not ready when we arrived at 3pm as mentionned in our booking since April 7th. The hotel asked us to wait until 6pm. Instead they proposed us to go to the jacuzzi/sauna room but nothing was working there. - Cleaning lady not aware that an "escapade romantique" room was supposed to be ready that day. - No manager on site, only 1 overstreched staff on site. No feedbacks given to our complaints. We finally had to call Booking.com to complain. - Hotel refused to cancel the booking and charge my credit card despite the absence of the escapade romantique room we booked and the ruinage of our planned Anniversary. - Worst experience i ever had in a "4 stars" hotel.
Location. my room. lack of traffic noise (i was in a back facing room)
slow service at reception. only on elevator for my wing shared with 6 floors/20 rooms.
