i liked the place where the hostel was. very close to the center.
it was very dirty. the carpet was dirty and the room dusty
Perfect location, everything within walking distance... The staff were helpful
I was given a room with no electricity! I complained and out of the three nights I still had to stay one night in this room as there was no other room available with a private bathroom.
Great hospitality from the girl ar the reception and very friendly. Very comfy room
room was a little cold, especially in the bathroom/shower
The cheap price
Only one shower and toilet for all the guests, very very old building
Our room has not been cleaned when the last guest left. The lady at the reception promised that she would call someone to clean the room and change the sheets, but when we came back at night, the room was as we left it. Nobody had come to clean! We had to go to the basement ourselves to try to look for clean sheets in order to be able to sleep. The room is small and looked overall dirty.
Price is good.
Toilet and the shower are ugly, bed is uncomfortable.
Nice location Big room
Spider webs on the wall Cold room, heating devices were off Showers have some kind of pump that is very difficult to use
no working lights in room.lucky i had a torch!.staff wouldnt do anything about it
Excellent Value for Money
nothing...its ok for what you pay for
Friendly girl who works at the counter is very helpful and polite. Location - incredible! Right in the centre of town & it was reasonably priced.
Check in: 3pm to 6pm-Means hotel is closed outside these times. Hotel is dirty & needs a good clean. Only Toilet - grim. The one shower was blocked, badly lit & dirty. Tidy up needed of shared areas - remove bottles of empty wine/ beer/ rubbish & use vacuum. Investigate your fire door for safe exit before someone gets stuck inside!
The hostel is close to the major attractions within walking distance.
The facility as a whole was not clean. Our room was dusty. The night stands and in room sink had dust which I had to wipe off. The shared toilet was dark and small. Two floors with 6 rooms shared this toilet. The only shower was on the ground floor, rather inconvenient. The carpet definitely needed to be replaced or at least shampooed. There was no elevator. We had to drag our luggage to the second floor with 40 steps. Not recommended for older people. Our room also had no heat. We had to ask for a heater the next day because it was cold at night. The facility was locked during the day and only opened between 1500 and 1800. That was when the only attendant was on duty to sign in guests. Check out time was at 1100 and all guests hanged the keys on a glass cabinet at the counter and just left. If we needed anything, we had to catch the attendant during those 3 hours while she was on duty.
The WC and the shower were not in the same floor as my room and were dirty. The shower is very poor. I can't take a real bath.
Location was excellent & makes up for what Hostel Bruge lacks in other ways. Abundance of wall sockets in the room
Unfortunately, the Hostel Bruge's reception is not manned for much of the day & it was only by luck that I was able to access the premises, after standing outside for some time in the hope that the receptionist would arrive. When she did arrive, she did not seem to appreciate why I was anxious about not being able to access the premises. I know that other guests faced similar difficulties. While the bedding was clean, the room itself had not been vacummed for some time & there was a very dirty tablecloth on the table in the room. There is also no kettle in the room. I was able to access a (less than clean) kitchen on the top floor.
Excellent location. Large room. Underground car park across the street. Informative staff. Very good price. Characterful building.
Needs redecorating. Decor very out of dated and tired. Room was dirty in places and needed properly cleaning. Steep stairs not ideal for older generation or those with movement difficulties.
Great location, underground parking right opposite but I parked my motorbike right outside the hotel no problems. 2-3 mins from hotel to market square, nice and easy to get out of the town from here for day trips etc
Tiny pathetic shower shared between all rooms could be a problem when busy. One single toilet again between all rooms. But hey I didn't go to Bruges to sit on the toilet all day!!
Location and the room was fine.
Staff not very hospitable.
The place is good located in the city center. You can go by walking to anywhere. At the beginning the hostess looked very serious but she was a really nice young girl.
The bed was really old... I think they would have to update the maltresses. Some corners not cleaned in years.
Access to the room is via, what appears to be a ladder, cleanliness does not exist, 1 bed was broken, requested a rollaway, they could not provide linen, just a blanket. I will never return to this property. It is one step away from being a homeless persons shelter.
The room is big enough. The location is near to the city center and the shopping street. The room is quite to sleep.
It is better that the room is with bathroom and toilet.
The location is great and is close to the main attractions
The service. I paid in cash and they didn't have change so they made me go out in town to change money to get the exact amount and come back. The wifi signal dind't reach the bedrooms. The bathrooms looked horrible, they needed cleaning and maintenance.
near the city centre, very easy to get to the station
too crowded, the sofa bed is breken, the heat doesn't work, can't sleep at night
We stayed for a night ,it was OK. Hotel location was perfect you can reach most 20 min.whereever you want. The staff was kind and helpful as well. Price was cheap for Brugge. In summary Brugge is the best city in the Europe we enjoyed a lot. I recommend this hotel who don’t need luxury and special place to stay.
The room was so-so but we were 4 and share a big room which was the first door of hall. Shower was awful but can stay for a night.
Great location and helpful staff. Good wifi and simple but comfortable room. Good place for short visit.
Bathroom needs remodeled, mold build up is a problem.
It was close to Brugge station, like 5-10min walk. And wifi worked good.
Rooms are old, cute but very old. Not so clean, but you can survive one night I guess. Bathroom is bad, I didnt even take a shower :) seriously. The shower is bad, the toilette is ok. Floor is of wood so you can hear everyone everything, not soo noissy but just in case you mind about it.
