There was no toilet paper in our room and one of our soap dispensers was empty. It would have been nice to have been told of laundry facilities near-by. The staff was seldom "in-house" so it was difficult to get information on local attractions, restaurants, etc. Breakfast was minimal.
The room is quiet and the location is good.
The room (Caravan Palace) is extremely small. The bathroom is odd. You either shower or use the toilet. Breakfast is frugal and staff is not on staff (with the exception of a an hour or so in the morning).
Great bathroom with bathtub and paired showers. Quiet room - beautiful view, to garden even on a December morning.
Limited hot water - could not take a bath. TV not working - all we got as response was : "TV repairman is responsible for it." Hopefully it was fixed for the next guest. Non-English speaking staff. Lack of connection with host.
The house is in a nice sector of town.
We've stayed this weekend at your place in Brussels. Sorry that we have to tell you that we were really disapointed about your promised warmest welcome at Brugman Garden . Not at any moment somebody was there to welcome us.The room was not even cleaned up properly (empty bottles under the bed) while we arrived. And the room was definitely too small for 2 persons and the tiny little bathroom was it too ! The lavabo didn't function properly and taking a shower the toilet and everything around was full of water afterwards. The lights beside the bed did not function either and in the living room downstairs the light was so bad, that reading a book was impossible. No explications about the TV functioning in the room. We really cannot recommend this bed and breakfast location. Sorry
The ad published is tricky!!! 1. Two rooms (Magritte and Horta) are offered in the same at the same price and the pictures of both rooms are mixed together. In the ad you read that both rooms are 30 sqm, with view on the garden (more quiet) and with a large barthroom. In reality I was hosted in the Magritte room with the view on the main street (really noisy with a continuous passage of belling trams) and with the bathroom in the room (!!!): I mean, in the same room without a closed environment, but just a short unuseful dividing wall. So, if you go to the toilette, you and who is with you will "appreciate" in all the "Magritte" room your own smell and sounds!!!! It is really anti-hygienic!! 2. Moreover, when you arrive nobody will host you and during my staying there (three nights) I have never seen a person of the hotel. 3. The entire cost is immediately charged against your credit card and when I complained (by phone) with the hotel property about the tricky ad, they told me that they cannot do anything and that I should forward my complains to Booking.com. 4. After long discussion I received a ridicolous discount (€ 5 per night) and I did not have the possibility to change hotel (other accomodations were completely full) due to the Marathon of Brussels 5. Breakfast, prepared by yourself, is arranged in the common room downstairs, but some of the equipment are without instructions and nobody is there to help you. Maybe for Belgian is common to use them, but for foreigners maybe not!! 6. More attention has been dedicated to give "naif" names to the room, instead to keep them really proper and the same is for the common space (breakfast room and stairs). 7. If you go there by car, be careful it is really difficult to park on the street and it is not for free. 8. In conclusion, it is my first and last time in this B&B, which costs as a proper hotel and that does not offer what shown in the ad.
I loved our Horta superior double room. I would never have imagined so many facilities for such a good price! Will definitely see us back!
The only thing that I did not appreciate, was the lack of human contact when arriving at the hotel. Had it not been for the very helpful guy on the phone, we would have been stuck in the hotel foyer, without knowing which one of the rooms is ours.
Perfectly located near to a tram stop that brings you all the way to Louisa and Brussels Central and a short walk from the nice Le Chatelein area, with lots of bars and restaurants. I had a spacious room overlooking a lovely garden and a huge bathroom. Breakfast was home-like and plenty. Bottled water is available also after breakfast, as well as coffee and tea in the common room. Wi-fi is excellent. The owner allowed us to use the living room and the wi-fi even after check-out time.
The noise from the trams passing by (must have been worse in the front rooms). The desk in the room was too little to work on. I could not operate the TV, but guess it was me... anyway I could not find instructions.
