Warm welcome through message from the owner with information to access the self-service hotel. An apartment with necessary facilities. Clean and comfortable. I like the bed with its size and support. Breakfast saved in a basket and put outside of the room early morning is acceptable. Easy to access the Metro and also to the Grand Palace by walk.
A big mirror on the floor is not appropriate by the bed and could be replaced by a smaller one on the wall.
This is a good apartment with pretty much all you need if you are travelling and plan only rudimentary cooking, but want the possibility. The main things going for it is that it is spacious, nicely decorated, and the people who own it are very nice and aim to accommodate. The beer that is left as a welcome is really a lovely touch.
I think for what you get the price is just a bit high. The area is one in transition and the jury is out as to whether the transition is upward or down. This was my second time staying and the number of prostitutes loitering outside has grown exponentially. To be fair, they didn't try to interact with me and I did not ever feel threatened. Also the owners have camera's trained on the street and monitor for trouble. Inside the flat is fine--the bathtub could do with a bit of a re-enamel as it looks dirty (I am pretty sure it was not). The pillows provided are really uncomfortable (have a bad neck after a week), and given the price of the accommodation and the neighbourhood a higher value set of bedding would have made up the difference a bit. Breakfast is fine if you like bread. There was 2 cartons of yogurt for the entire week, but every morning three types of bread were provided along with some sliced fruit loaf, a plastic container of fruit cocktail a box of OJ, sugary cereal, and long life milk. Again for the price it would have been nice to have had something fresh that was not bread.
The owners were responsive to a plumbing problem when I first arrived. Within walking distance to the major Boulevards, shopping, and transportation.
Unable to sleep. Prostitutes on the street were conversing with one another until all hours of the night, every night. The owner said that the Mayor of Brussels has been contacted about this problem, but it didn't do me any good.
Beautiful, large, comfortable, secure and spotless. Look forward to returning.
The Suite was actually an appartment with everything you would have in it. Perfect!
It was a bit too expensive to book it again, but I certainly would at a lower price.
A colleague booked the hotel for me and I did not checked the review before. I was happily surprised by the decoration and personal touch. I would recommend it for those who are tired of traditional hotel bedrooms.
Practical solutions. Supply of essentials and not luxury (except of the bedroom's decoration effort). The room was like a small home. Equipped with regrigerator, coffee machine and cooking facility/tools. Very good internet WiFi connection. The owners are communicating by email and consider to respond to customer requests. Very nice fresh croissants and bread every morning for breakfast. Breakfast would be perfect if cheese was also provided.
Located on a street very busy of prostitutes seeking customers 24h/day. Sometimes they had fun, like in a street party! They were not really annoying but the scene was unusual, seen only in movies. No elevator. No replacement of towels for 4 days.
- Beautiful and comfortable big Room - Nice breakfast
Rooms are beautiful and spacious. The house is near the Center of Brussels. I was feeling like at home arriving at any time.
Quaint little apartment.
Location is in red light district - a lot of women waiting on the street corners and on the doorstep to the building. Bath needs cleaning.
The room is like a studio or small apartment, quiet large and comfortable. And the area is not that bad, right next to the Flemish theater (you can just ignore prostitutes and pimps on the streets, they won't mess with you). Owners were nice and very helpful, and replied emails right away.
I find the price a bit too high, but lodging in Brussels is generally expensive. It would be nice if breakfast included fresh fruit (instead of canned).
I like a lot the kindness, amiability of Cedric and his wife, Magali. I have to mention also the permanent support accorded whenever we need
Guest service provided, spacious room, hospitality
Extremely helpful and generous hosts. Spacious and cosy rooms + bath. Colourful neigbourhood.
stylish interiour close to town centre
location in the middle of a red light district poor shower
Unit close to metro stop and in reasonable walking distance of central city. The unit was spacious, well furnished and had all the amenities for self catering. There was no staff on site, but all request for info were promptly answered via text.
Hadn't realised at time of booking the unit was on a corner noted for street prostitution. It was impossible to walk to the unit without being solicited, but I never had sense area was unsafe.
The room, plus hall with kitchenette and bathroom was ideal for a short stay, nicely decorated, comfortable, clean.
The area really cannot be recommended for a solo female traveller. The accommodation is on a street where prostitutes wait for clients, at all hours of the day and night.
