Nice location, frequent direct bus 71 from centre (every 10 min)
Not really noisy (except for the road outside).
1. water on the floor in shower (like 1 cm high). 2. beds are made of thick metall, avoid sleeping on top bed (shaking even if you barely touch it). 3. i woke up with 2-3 insect bites (don't even wonna think what was that). 4. No soap/papertowels in bathroom. 5. Staff is not really friendly, no one cares about showing you your room or stuff like that. 6. No keys, no lockers (or no one showed me it - then p.5). The rooms are open 24/7. the answer for the question Why no keys? was: This is a dormitory. (again p.5). So - stay there only if you don't have other choice
The staff was good and nice
The location was far away for the city center, also the shower facilities were really bad, very unconfortable
People chatting casually on 0 floor ,really nice
The reception only open during 11am-1pm. Some times it's hard to check-in
There is not locked cabin in the rooms. So we can't put our vallets or other things to nowhere for safety.
This was the worst experience I have ever had in a hostel. The building is dilapidated and needs a lot of work done. The bathrooms and showers are in closet-sized spaces with doors that don't close properly and no proper drainage or ventilation- the floors are always wet. The halls stink of the dirty water which they use to clean the floors and then leave in the mop buckets. I'm guessing they don't change the water very frequently because it really reeked. The room was slightly less frightening, if it weren't for the enormous pee-stain staring backing at me from the bottom of the mattress on the bunk above mine. Luckily there was a TV in the room, because the wifi is spotty and the common room/kitchen is the exclusive domain of a couple of drunk, belligerent men who have been staying in the hostel for over a month. When one of them turned violent with me the hostel staff asked me to leave the kitchen in order not to cause problems. They have no control over these guests. In fact the guests at the hostel do whatever they want and sleeping soundly was out of the question. There is an internal courtyard where guests go to smoke and drink and be loud and obnoxious until they think it is time for them to go to bed- making it impossible for those who go to bed earlier. Incidentally, this courtyard is home to a landfill-worthy mountain of trash, which is a fire hazard. Some other guests told me that the night before I arrived a cigarette tossed on the mini-dump started a mini-fire which was fortunately spotted on time. Luckily it rains a lot in Brussels.
should have strong connection to wi-fi, need more improvemnt in maintaining service
Our reservation was in different rooms Poor Staff Dirty rooms and Toilettes NO STAIRS to climb to the BEDS!! 1/10 25 min to City Center by tram
Wifi connection in the room was not enough.
It was quite cheap. The kitchen is well equipped and not overcrouded.
Generally, I didn't like this place. The building is very old and was not renovated. Showers wokred very badly, with poor control on water temperature. We had only one key for 4 people in the room, so the door was almost all time opened, and it seemed unsecure.
I came alone but i found a nice group
Safety is not that more ...
Comfortable stay in a 4 bed dorm! Clean sheets, 2 working toilets and a shower that was ok with flip flops! Staff very nice and a comfortable distance from the city centre! Would use this hostel again.
Have fun in brussels
That they never answer the phone when you phone the receptionist.
It looks like someone was sleeping in our bed minutes before we get the room and did not change the sheets. Uffff
Beds were very comfortable and rooms weren't very busy.
Localitation (it was good to find by bus but it wasn't able to go to do a night walk) and showers were very dirty and little without space to change your clothes.
Price was decent.
Twin-bed is a nightmare
Having a nice shower and a bed to sleep in after a festival.
The fact that my friends passport went missing from a room was disgraceful. Nobody had it on them, even when we unpacked after getting home, the only other people to have come across the passport were hostel Louise staff. This resulting in my friend having to buy a tempory passport and being stranded in Brussels for 24 hours. THANKS! I will never stay here again and I'll tell people to not stay here too.
Communal kitchen, 2 balcony's and a communal living room with computers and a bar. The staff are very good, helpful and are up for a laugh! Room was a 3 bed room which had a ensuite shower but had to use a communal toilet. Location is good and is right next the Notre Dam church and about 15 min walk from the beach and 10 min walk from the train station!
WiFi is pretty shoddy always seemed to be issues with it. Place can come across as too dark and dingy at times but this does not reflect what the hostel is like!
Receptionists welcome and help.
lack of availability of sufficient keys for each guest in a multi-occupancy room
Great bed, excellent room cleaning service, nice staff, strong wifi, and a great kitchen.
Wifi could only be used in common area, area is a little noisy if you are a light sleeper, about 2 miles from the central city.
Dirty, uncomfortable bed, no wi-fi
The dorm only had 4 beds, the receptionist was nice and helpful
There was a big, mouldy stain right next to my bed. When I went to take a shower a looked around and decided that I'm cleaner than this bathroom
