Strange people living there, some workers, and we believe there was some prostitution going on. You can hear perfectly all your neighboors, wifi doesn't work, no fridge, no common area, every strange can get inside easily, and the floor of our room was leaning and about to collapse. Windows doesnt open. Well, if you go there, good luck!
I stay in this hostel is cheap is not far from centre of B.R.X The staf is very help me I come back Tomworw
Cheap Restaurant and grocery nearby Next to tram and bus stop You can use the Kitchen
Do not choose basement floor
Friendly and helpful personnel tram and bus just next to the hostel
Nothing in special
WiFi only in the common area
good price & nice staff
some people use kitchen & don't like clean dishes ><
The price, I payed for a 8 dorms room, but stayed in a room with 4 beds, and there was just another woman with me, so it was very comfortable. There was a TV in my room. 24h reception. Many supermarkets and food 24 h in the area.
No soap in the whole hostel. Wifi worked only on a 1st floor, in a kitchen. Located quite far from the center (you have to take a tram or bus to go there).
Room is spacious and clean. Bed is comfortable. The bathroom and toilets are clean.
No wifi connection from my room. Too far from city centre.
the guy at reception was polite though looks like he has to hear a lot of negative.
1) there is no free parking nearby. the nearest free of charge parking zone is located more than 1km away in non-living zone where you probably wouldn't want to leave the car for a night unattended. the hostel descritption says there is free parking zone nearby. reception guy explained this as "not the most correct automatic translation of service". 2) wifi works only on base-floor and 1st floor. if you leave higher - you don't have wifi in your room. 3) stairs are really high-grade. 4) no kettle in the kitchen - you need to use the microwave oven instead. 5) rule at the door: no eating in the room.
Close to tram, bus station and several cheap food places and supermarkets, so perfect if you're on a budget. Hot water is hot, beds are comfy, place is quiet. The staff is small and they clearly have a lot of work, but were helpful and respectful. And the price is terrific: I don't think you can get a cheaper place in Brussels.
As others have said, you get what you pay for and you should not expect much comfort for the price. Of course the spaces are narrow and small and they won't be very clean for some of the day, but if you just need a place to crash and don't mind the few, small, wet-floored toilets and showers or the pile of dirty dishes in the kitchen then by all means go for it.
filthy poor maintenance bad location(too far from city center)
Nothing but location
Filthy toilets, no lights on floors, my wife and kid got scared while going to unlit toilet.
That you can use the kitchen to cook.
The smell wasnt very confortable and the beds makes a lot of noise when you move into.
Near Tram stop (50mt) - near Bus stop (70mt) - near Carrefour (60mt) - near a beautiful park with a little island (600mt) - free bed linen - room with little sink/desk/chair - enough space for luggage - one energy socket for every bed - kitchen with enough tools - owen/microwave - vending machine for snacks/beverages - building quaint and charming.
Awkward go down the stairs for reception - towel to rent - no lift (four floors) - bad WiFi at the high floors - it sinks into the bed - no lockers - missing a curtain - head shower broken - kitchen without fridge - small common room - reception closed in the morning (it's impossible to leave the luggage).
one of the personal was friendly.
In one floor with many rooms & only 2 showers is only one shower with light. I had to wait a lot of time. So much noise, also from the personal, which was talking in the night with its friends and cleaning in the morning the hostel.
30 min from centre by metro/tram Cheap Situated in a nice neighborhood wifi ok bathroom ok
The place is ok for a short stay, still its a cheap hostel so dont expect the best stuff
No lockers. Dirt everywhere, especially in bathrooms. The guy at the front desk... the only thing he could say it in English, it is that he speaks only French (seriously? in international hostel?). TV in the rooms is freaking joke - if you're unlucky, your roommates will watch TV for 3am.
Didn't like anythg,
no elevator, no cctv cameras, no security at all. It was my worst expereince in entire europe tour. I will never recommend anyone to stay in Hostel Louise..
Staff was so kind.
I couldn't use wifi in my room, only in common area. There were only two plugs for four people, couldn't use enough time.
There was no WiFi in our room - had to work in the kitchen. Shower and WC at the ground floor are enormously small, it's really difficult to use them, not talking about comfort in process.
beds dirty showers and beds drunk people
In this hostel there are stoven and material to cook your eat if you want.
The hostel stay far away the downtown. The bathrooms is terrible. Don't have good space and sometimes are so dirty. The bedrooms are noisy and they don't have side to put the bagagge.
you pay what you get
nano-size shared bathroom which was always dirty squeaking beds, whenever u turned was making a noise after 7pm forget about connecting to wifi kitchen always full of people, no space for cooking, theres not even a kettle to boil the water for coffee or tea
It needs renovation
