The Imperial is in the heart of Ostend, in a quiet setting with excellent access to the center of the city. The beach is across from the hotel and De Haan is 9 miles away. Imperial offers standard, superior and executive rooms which are all comfortable and tastefully decorated. Each has a bathtub or shower and free Wi-Fi. The James Ensor bar offers a friendly setting for a drink. In the elegant lounge, guests can unwind by the open fire while children can have hours of fun with the Sony Play station. Imperial Hotel is located within walking distance of the train station. Ostend Airport is only 2 miles away. In the surrounding district, you will find numerous restaurants. the hotel was situated in the central area of Ostend, off road parking was easy and available. The rooms were spacious and clean, with the hotel staff being very friendly and helpful. the organisation of the breakfast was a little disappointing in that there was only one member of staff in the dining room. You had to wait for food items to be replenished and queues of people be coming unhappy with the situation.

The Hotel Imperial was good value for money. The staff were very courteous and helpful. The room was comfortable and clean. The hotel is within seconds of the main beach and the promenade with its wide selection of excellent restaurants and tearooms. The hotel is within a wisper of the main shopping area and anyone whishing to try their luck at the Casino only has to cross the road. Coffee/tea making facilities in the room would have been a welcome extra.

Unfortunately the 2 days at the Imperial Hotel were totally unpleasant. The staff were nothing like other staff in hotels in Ostend (we have stayed in many others frequently) They were working over the new year and clearly were not happy to be there! The room was the smallest I have ever stayed in and was so dated and uncomfortable. The breakfast was acceptable but that is the only positive thing I could say about the £250 2 night stay! I would not usually critisize a hotel, preferring to find the good things to say but on this occasion I truly felt it should be said. This was not a nice hotel in Ostend.

The only good thing about our stay was the friendly and helpful night manager. The room smelt damp and the daytime staff were not helpful at all in fact they were quite rude and it seemed as if you were in the wrong for asking for help with anything .

Charming entrance and library. Fairly good breakfasts too. The bedroom was small but adequate and comfortable. The bathroom, however, was exceedingly small and, with the toilet wedged between the bath and the wall, anyone with a largere than usual rear-end would have problems sitting there!

Contacted the hotel to ask to cancel booking as guests need to be further along there route. Hotel was rude and refused to cancel even though booking has onloy been confirmed a few hours earlier. Will definately not use this hotel again Best Western also would not helpw even though I intended to book another best western in Gent

The bed was really confortable and the atmosphere was nice. A suggestion: try to be more eco friendly: asking to the guest whether they want to have their bedlines and towels changed every day or not. You should offer some fruit for the breakfast.

The hotel was clean and had the necessary space for a few days stay. The hotel is fine. There were two things I did not like. First of all, the breakfast room was overbooked. There were hotel guests that had to wait for a table. Last but not least, some guests on the third floor were very noisy. Despite that I called to complain, the guests continue making terrible noises after midnight.

Very good breakfast, infact one of the best I have had at a hotel, even though it was classed as continental style there was a lot of extra's. The cleanliness of the hotel was very high, and the location excellent. The reception staff were not very friendly, there was major roadworks in the area, the lifts didnt work and the downstairs toilets were not working due to a basement flood.

The hotel was located opposite the beach and casino and was in walking distance of shops and restaurants. The majority of the staff were friendly and welcoming. The room had sea view glimpses and was comfortable. Unfortunately road works commenced directly outside the hotel at 0730hrs on the first morning of our holiday and continued throughout the week. It was very noisy due to both road works and inconsiderate guests returning in the early hours. The breakfast selection was limited for the first few days but improved towards the end of the week.
