We were particularly impressed with the young lady at the reception whose first day it was to be alone there (we arrived at around 8.30 P.M. on 10 July). She was friendly, smiling and very helpful. A credit to your hotel. We were unaware that there was no parking place beside the hotel and would have been happy to note that on the website. Also, since were had to travel back to Denmark, we wanted to leave very early so that breakfast from 07.30 seemed a bit late to us. The lady in the breakfast room, however, did accommodate us so that we could eat breakfast at 7. She too was very helpful and very nice.

The location is great. This is not a four star hotel! I booked it thinking the 4 stars would ensure a romantic, luxury experience. I travel a lot on business and I can say from experience that the bedding was only fair (that of a three star), TV channel options very limited, no on demand TV, no room service for evening meals or possibility to order in champaign. I would not have been dissapointed if this hotel had a three start rating, but it has a four star rating and I was expecting much more!

The staff were put themselves out to be helpful and the room was comfortable and very quiet. Its location was very difficult to find mainly due to road works cutting off the normal access it took us two and half hours to find the hotel. The rather average breakfast was exceptionally expensive at £15 per person but we used the hotel as a route stop and did not have time to look for alternative.

The location was fantastic and to behonest, thats about it really. Oh, apart from hotel parking which is scarce in Bruges. The hotel, whilst decorated quite nicely was rather tatty in places and the lighting was so dark it made the stairs dangerous. There was no airconditioning and so we had to sleep with the window open. It was so noisy that on both nights we were awoken by rowdy pedestrians ( one lot playing football down the cobbled street with a beer can! The breakfast was minimal,as were the staff numbers. Lastly, the parrot in reception made me feel uncomfortable. He was allowed to roam but we were told he did bite. Poo from the bird was all over the floor in the morning but I did expect that to be cleared up. When we returned much later ( appx 10pm ) that night it was still unclean. I will never recommend or stay here again.

The breakfast was pretty good, the location was great, very convenient. The room are way too noisy to be able to sleep properly. The walls are very thin which means you hear absolutely everything, especially from people passing by the corridor.... Not worth it.

Good location close to the central Makt Square. The breakfast was limited - would have preferred some fresh fruit salad to accompany it.

All the staff were very efficient and helpful. Breakfast was good with plenty of fresh bread, pastries, croissants, eggs, cheese and meats. There was also hot bacon and scrambled eggs. Champagne was available every morning but we only had some once to celebrate the New Year. Coco, the multiligual parrot usually welcomed us each with a "Good Morning" which was fun. The room was large and comfortable and the location perfect for sightseeing in the City. We had pre-booked parking so it was very convenient to park in the underground car park and, although it cost15 euro a night we thought it was well worth it in the City Centre.

Everything was excellent, but the highlight was really the Parrot. It is more a suggestion, but the scrumbled eggs were not good. It really seems like they were made of powder, not real eggs. It is true that it is more difficult to manage real eggs as they overcook. My sugestion would be to install a coffee machine to free some staff time. Then use this time to take orders for the scrumbled eggs. Otherwise, everything was really perfect and we just regret not been able to stay longer.

Excellent location, very close to all tourist areas. Staff very friendly, very accommodating wherever they could. Breakfast very basic, no variety, very boring after two mornings. Tired decor, lack of sound proofing in old building - noise travelled. Should not have been put in room below builders carrying out repairs - work started at 8.00 am including Saturday! Not 4Star standard.

Very pleasant, nice stuff, nice pool and sauna... In a double room it was 2 bed beside each other, instead of a king size bed. The beds were slipping away all the time, I was falling into the gap between the beds during the night, as I tried to grab my partner. :( else everything was fine.

Only the location. The hotel urgently needs refusbished and updated yet charges rates in line with other hotels in Bruges with a much higher level of accomodation and services. Rooms were cold with only one small wall mounted electric heater. No in room service apart from a mini bar. Hot drinks like tea or coffee only available from a vending machine in the disused hotel beauty salon on the ground floor.

Fantastic location, good sized rooms. The service at breakfast was unfriendly and not what I would expect from a hotel advertised as 4*. The rooms were oddly designed with a separate toilet right next to the bed which was a bit unpleasant. The only mirror we had in the room was in the bathroom which was inconvenient. No tea/coffee making facilities.
