The Vilvoorde Lodge offers modern rooms with free WiFi in the wing of an historic building. This former house of correction has a 24-hour front desk and is located 15 minutes’ drive from Brussels.

Just over 1 mile from Brussels International Airport in Zaventem, Novotel Brussels Airport is a 20-minute drive from central Brussels, with the Grand Place.
Score from 753 reviews Very good
Spent 2 nights here recovering from an operation & was very impressed with the comfort & friendlyness of the staff. The food in the restaurant is also lovely.
Good location behind the station and short walk into town centre. Wifi free and fast. Bed very comfortable and shower powerful. TV with BBC 1 inc free. Kettle and hairdryer. Restaurant very handy, serving good reasonable food. Only 15 minutes by frequent train to centre of Brussels. Very comparable to a premier Inn in the UK.
Would have liked a fridge in the room.
The restaurant far exceeded our expectations! The staff were very friendly, helpful and professional.
We could hear (faintly) the train running nearby. Thankfully, they don't run around the clock...
Room was clean and facilities in the room were good. The TV had English channels which was great.
The room and corridors smelt of smoke, also, the corridors looked very tired and old, didn't match the quality of the reception area and the room.
Location Breakfast was plentiful Pets accepted without question
No hot water on Sunday Receptionist untrained to deal with complaints and was very defensive Carpets stained and the hall smelt of urine, Cost of breakfast
Location, excellent links to road network. Quiet area
Entrance was tricky to work out but once done its ok. No hot water on Sunday morning, albeit quickly fixed once hotel was made aware, but too late for me. Staff on reception, were defensive and did not handle complaints very well, preferring to stand behind the counter and hold an argument with their guests over the lack of hot water. Poorly trained staff.
Dinner was very good!
When visiting my native country and being from that area, I totally enjoy staying at the Campanile - I can walk to the town quite easily and the train station is right there with easy access to Brussels and other destinations. The hotel is comfortable and I also value the private parking area which safeguards my rental car.
Although I appreciate the necessity and advantage of it, I do not like the new exit barrier which was installed - I am always frightened it will come down before the car has gone through.
Quality op bed. Great for passing-by overnight stay. (Do not expect more than a good sleeping place.) Good quality for a 50-60 Euro/night value.
All was ok, no nonsense style for a simple overnight stay. Type: like the better Ibis hotel style.
Room was a nice size and clean, hotel was relatively close to the airport, bed was comfortable.
Hard to find the entrance to the parking area - had to go about a block, turn right, and go behind some buildings to get into the hotel property. I fell in the bathroom after slipping in the bathtub, and the staff didn't come and check on me after my husband asked for some ice for my bruised arm. They could have acted with more concern.
Restaurant on site
Expensive taxi ride and room was on side with train station... Noisy.
- big private and closed parking
Price/quality relation is awfull...too expensive for the kind of place it it Restaurant with only a few choices on food, better to look out local restaurants Reception team should be more nice and smile a little bit more
friendly good breakfast and great value
rooms too small, bathrooms need renovating,
deal from booking.com
- stained towels and not folded, seemed cleaned but with stains doubts do arise - hair from previous occupants - house keeping did not arrange bed
Wi-Fi and parking were free.
No AC so tried to sleep but next to a train track so very noisy.
The restaurant and bar staff we're excellent. Food was good. The rooms were cosy and had everything we needed. Front desk supplied us with travel adapter when we'd forgotten ours :)
The main thing was the wifi connection. It wasnt very strong. Elevator didnt work which I could have used as I was staying at the hotel after surgery.
The hotel is only a few kilometres from Brussels International i.e Zaventem.(Don't get confused as they are one and the same). Very friendly staff and the hotel is comfortable. The evening menu, although not extensive, offers generous portions. You wont go to bed hungry!. Recommend prior booking with Booking.com as price is a lot more economical.
Could be tricky to find!. Look for Gare (i.e. station), keep right, turn right at lights, under rail bridge, and you will see hotel on right. go past hotel and take first right to arrive in car park around the back.
Good location, free secured on site parking and free wifi.
The hotel needs a bit of remodeling and upgrading. New carpets brighter hallways etc.
food, bed, wifi
The signposting of this hotel! My satnav made a meal of getting there and only by pure luck did I see the very small sign on the roundabout. On a dark wet evening it was hard work -
The staff were great.
I expected better (more frequent) bus service to the airport.
Clean bedrooms, but what's with this farcical 'complimentary tea and coffee' in the rooms? I thought it was part of the what's expected when you book a room. Whatever next....complimentary water in the taps and toilet?
The shower didn't work. "There is a bath though", said the reception clerk. I had to haggle for the two twin rooms I had booked instead of the twin room and double room they wanted me to accept. The very hospitable clerk was very kind throughout, but informed us that on weekends the management didn't work and therefore did not want to be disturbed. The restaurant was closed ON SATURDAY night! The hotel was bursting with guests and had to venture into the deserted town 'centre' to get food. Breakfast on Sunday morning was good however. What shambolic management! Corridors were dark and dismal.
The breakfast was good. The parking is secured. There is no bus connection with Brussels. You can reach Brussels only by train or by your car. A tip: After 18.00 o'clock all the street parking places are free of charge, and you can park your car in the center of Brussels (if you are lucky and you have a lot of patience to drive around till you find a parking place!)
