Excellent location, Front view is lovely, comfortable room and bed
Wi fi coverage in room had some issues and I had to go down the lobby for good signal
Location is perfect for central Brussels, hotel is clean and breakfast very good.
Location was fantastic
A bit tired and raised expectations by suggesting it was 4*
The hotel is well appointed and the room was uncluttered, comfortable, clean and with a good view of the market square.
Some of the facilities which were claimed to be provided at the hotel were absent; for example, the bar. The breakfast was of a mediocre standard for a four star hotel: for example there were no toasting facilities and when items, such as bacon, ran out they were not readily replaced. The mini bar in the room contained only three small (25cl) bottles of water. There was no price list in the room or any indication that they had to be paid for but the hotel sought to impose a charge 3.5 euros per bottle.
The rooms were very large, clean and the bed extremely comfortable. The location could not be better, we requested a quiet room and had no noise issues at all.
It was expensive considering the breakfast was an additional 17 euros. The mini bar only contained water. The tea making facilities were rather stingey. 2 teabags and sugar sachets per day. We ordered breakfast for 2 to be brought to the room (an extra 7 euros) and one plate turned up which they insisted was two breakfasts even though there was clearly just one omlette. After much debate we were only charged for one.
Great location centrally located.
Poor wifi reception. Very noisy outside of my room until 3:00 a.m.
City centre location
The inability to resolve problems resulting from lack of maintenance.
Location is excellent. Quite clean. Good sized room and bathroom.
My reservation was messed up. I had to wait for 25 min at almost midnight (01:00). No wifi on my floor. Sewage smell in the lobby, including the breakfast room.
The room was rather cold even with the system on full power.
breakfast was terrible
The location was great just off the Grand Place. Easy to get to either by local train or taxi. The best rooms were of course on the front so if you want to see the square ask for the front. Breakfast was good.
They did have a bar but over the weekend it was closed. I had a room at the back of the hotel and unfortunately on the first night local youths were outside until 5.30am skate boarding.
Big bed, clean bathrooms
Useless staff/very unhelpful, noisy even though I asked for a quiet room as we were travelling with a baby (put us next to the lift). The hotel is tired & drab. Everything is old. Even though on a non smoking floor, it smelled of smoke.
i like this hotel when ill visit brussels
blanket was bad for cold weather please put better quality.
The hotel is very central, and especially if traveling by car allows for parking in the Grand Place parking - beneath the hotel (not part of the hotel). The staff were helpful, but we know Brussels very well so did not really test them.
Breakfast is very expensive (18Euro) so we had breakfast across the road in a small cafe - 8 - 14 euro for the two of us!
The location is excellent with great views (from the 5th floor). The breakast (included in the room cost) was very good: With the discounts obtained through booking.com, the price paid represented good value for money.
- The sink was blocked, resulting in an odour in the bathroom. - The room was a good size but not huge, and the same is true of the (double) bed. - The hotel does not currently credit any points scheme.
Decreasing quality of service
They have taken money out of my account twice, which is very annoying
The second room which I received was good.
Initially I received room 115. as you go out the elevator and take the direction towards the 115 room, suddenly you see a big sign on a door enouraging you to go through that door to get to room 115. As you pass that door, you arrive to the some exit stairs and a lift for the cleaning personal use. Next to this lift is this room 115. Horrible. I can't imagine how they can even consider that someone can stay there. The room has no carpet and its ugly. I bellieve the personal staff from reception was really mean to give me that room when other better rooms were available. I asked the reception to give me another room and I have receive a good, nice one somewhere in the middle of the corridor of the third floor. The tourist tax is unacceptable. 8 Euro. I travel a lot and I never paid this amount. The breakfast is also too expensive.
Good location, I had a superior room which was really big.
Staff was indifferent, breakfast pretty standard
Location, rooms were nice, modern decor. Staff were friendly
Check out was very slow. Not enough staff on to help deal with mundane guest enquiries regarding directions while other guests were in a rush to get transport home.
Minutes on foot from the station, Grande Place, shopping and the Sablon neighbourhood.
Breakfast was average. I'd recommend eating in one of the many cafés in the neighbourhood. Street can be noisy with at night as people spill out of bars.
fantastic location overseeing the grand place. ideal for business or leisure
