The buffet breakfast was good except the coffee which was very poor. The room, double with terrace, was very good except for the lack of tea/coffee making facilities. The restaurant was not open at weekend. The bar was open only when the restaurant was open. Since there were no tea/coffee making facilities in the bedrooms, this meant that one could not have a hot drink at all at the weekend save at breakfast nor any cold drink save the limited (and expensive) drinks in the mini-bar in the room. Nor are there any cafes or bars nearby save one usually overcrowded cafe serving brunch type meals. The room safe is operational only on payment of 5.50 euros a day (plus 10 euro deposit). There are too few staff . Overall, there is a distinct impression that the hotel group, Catalonia, is short of sufficient to provide the facilities and services to be expected of a three star hotel.

Friendly staff, spacious room, good value for money (significant discount for longer stay), you can open a window, very quite (room towards green backyard), no carpets but wooden floor A bit of sewage smell in bathroom, little cooling performance of air conditioning; there is no wrapped blanked (which unfortunately is common in cheaper hotels in Belgium) but only a linen under the blanket (which I consider not very hygenic)

I've stayed at the Catalonia Forum many times, both on my own and together with my partner, on account of its excellent location for my personal requirements. It is clean and comfortable, staff are helpful and pleasant, and breakfast has plenty of choices. It would be nice to have a coffee/tea maker in the room.

Staff were friendly and quadriligual! I was cooked an omelette when I arrived late and the kitchen was closed. Your Mme Wei (perhaps) was a star (and I don't think she charged me for the banana!) If it had an indoor pool and a sauna it would be perfect!!

The location is superb for our visits to family Facilities are poor. It would be nice to have the chance to buy a coffee or a drink during the day. We never found the bar open.

The room was ok, clean and nice. There was a sewer smell in the hotel everywhere; when I opened the window in the room it was gone after 30 min, but spoiled everything. So its definitely not for sensitive for that people... Also its very noisy in the morning - thin walls.

I thought it was clean and modern. Upon return I expected a single room with a double bed the same as I had on my first visit two weeks earlier. Instead I got two single beds pushed together, which of course spread apart when you sprawl. Very unpleasant. The hotel did offer to change room the next day but by then I'd learned not to sprawl. Also it is not within walking distance of the Brussels Metro. It is within walking distance of the Brussels tram system, which I didn't realize until I took a cab there the first time after directions I received from ti proved too complications.

Best is the staff, fact that they speak Spanish, breakfast is excellent and rooms are fine. Main shortcoming is poor Internet access , especially in the room where one meeds to work most; having to go down to he lobby to work is not good enough.

I liked their breakfast and the staff was very polite and friendly. The room rate was very reasonable for Brussels and the hotel's standards. My floor and room were smelly - some problem with pipes and waste.

A good hotel, very quiet with good beds, just what is needed for a good nights sleep. In the morning an excellent continental buffet style breakfast included in the cost. A bit out of the centre so be prepared to use trams which are close to the hotel or taxis.

I was impressed by the decor and cleanliness. The hotel looks more expensive- like a 5 star. Very clean and staff very helpful. Breakfast is basic but also very good. The location is not very central and no metro near.

Catalonia forum is a pleasant hotel in the quiet and nice area. Hotel staff at the front desk was very polite and helpful. Room was simple and clean and the bathroom was spacious. On Sunday afternoon cleaning lady was speaking very loud on the hall and made so much noise while cleaning the room across.

Hotels in large cities are often noisy. Catalonia Forum, being away from the centre of Brussels and not on a busy main road, was pleasantly quiet. Although it was good to have a free internet connection in the room, the ethernet cable was only about 40 cm long, which restricted the use of my laptop to a very small area.
