A lot of stairs to the breakfast room. Don't stay here if you have problems with your knees. Old and not very clean carpet on the floor in the room.
Location was good
TV was broken, bad snowy quality NO wifi signal in the room or breakfast room Breakfast very poor All kind off mess on the balcony
The room was just horrible. There was no day light. Opening the window meant smelling bad odours. , The wi-fi in the hotel (I was told) did not work. I was there on business and could not do any work .
Good value for money for Brussels.
No/very poor wifi connection at top floor
Very near Eurostar station, near to all the main parts of Brussels.
Nice staff, clean, good breakfeast.
The heating by airconditioning was noisy at night, not possible to switch off.
Location fab staff breakfast rooms great size and spotless
Be nice to have coffee making facility in the room
Nice clean hotel in a good location with friendly staff at a good price.
There was no hotel bar
Only 1 pillow and reception could not supply another
Breakfast, pretty comfortable, close to train station.
Wifi was glitchy, far from center.
Location near metro cleanliness Friendly Staff
room with no view weak wifi signal in room basic decoration,
Unfortunately it was one of the worst experiences in many years. I am not the person to complain usually I am happy with basic things. In this case however I cannot but express my dissatisfaction. In the hotel that costs over 100 euro per night I have expected at least an acceptable bed. In our room, the mattress was so old, that you could feel what is under the mattress, i.e. metal pieces that hurt you. Literally when you lay down you fall into a niche (a hole). To put it differently the bed and the mattress was so used up that it literally could not fulfill its basic purpose. Sleeping two nights at this hotel was simply a nightmare. Frankly, I could not imagine that something like this could take place in the hotel. I did not have such a problem even when I was a student and stayed in student hostels. Hotel staff were kind of friendly but did not worry much about finding a solution in practice as we have booked prepaid rate that cannot be cancelled. This is really a pity. For us definitely never again, even for free. For the benefit of the doubt, the hotel apparently goes through the renovation works. Perhaps, the experience could have been different if we have stayed in newly renovated room. I do not know. Other facilities in the room, i.e. bath, toilet have been in the working condition. Breakfast was acceptable. WiFi sometimes worked, sometimes not.
Room 6 as such is nice.
The location of Room 6 is such that you are disturbed both by the reception and by the breakfast. The room is not isolated from noises. Room 6 is not practical in the sense that you have to go up and down the stairs. There was no drinking water available. I had to go and buy a bottle in a local fast food restaurant.
The room was nicely decorated, large and comfortable, the staff was nice, and the choice for breakfast okay. The best thing about this hotel is probably its location thoug, at a walking distance of all the nice areas in Brussels.
There were 2 remote controls for 1 TV, none of which that worked, and no control for the heater/cooler. Hopefully the temperature suited us, but we had no means to control il inside the room.
Location is great, the hotel looks wonderful from outside and a lot of nice cafes and shops around it.
The room smelled odd, didn't look too clean, a bit rough, rather cold, although nothing terrible.
to expensive, have to turn off AC, to noisy than to cold
Location wise is near to Metro station. Serves a hearty breakfast.
Quite run down and not well maintain.
Hot air blown into the room throughout the night (no remote control available); no air change in the toilet; one chair in a (de-luxe!) double room; noise from the street.
Very helpful desk-managers, talking English, French, Italian, Portuguese.. Nice clean rooms. Very well situated.
The breakfast is rather boring, especially if you stay more than one night. Number of tv channels is very limited, no cnn, bbc, tf1 - at least I didn't find)) At 14.00 the room was still not ready. The hotel has taken money for the whole period of stay 2 days berore my arrival, contrary to the information provided by the booking.com. After the booking.com client service intervened, explained that it was made by mistake.
Break fast was good
Small room is very small
One morning no hot water to shower
The "lounge" is extremely small and uncomfortable, just a couple of chairs and two small tables stack on the side on the way to the elevator. I got a small inside room - for which I had to wait to be prepared when other visitors that came after went right in. The elevator was very small, slow, and the door had to be pulled - which made it impossible to carry luggage for more than one person at a time and in a mind-numbingly slow process (especially in the morning rush, when I managed to grab the elevator empty after 10 and was pulled up and down to other floors stopping for ages until it got going again). The wifi was terribly slow - I quickly moved to a very nice coffee place nearby to do work. Breakfast looked good - until 30 minutes later when it sent me running to the restroom! Left happy only because I was leaving.
Excelent ubication, the personel, breakfast
The beds were too soft
Not a place to stay if you want to spend a lot of time in the hotel, but perfect for city trip. City center is a comfortable 10 min walk away. Good value for money.
I unscrewed the broken light bulb in the lamp on the night stand and handed it in to the guy in the reception when I went out in the morning, and when I got back it was replaced.
Biggest problem was the interior. A rather big room, dark walls, dark carpet, a dark closet with a dark inside. God knows if the ceiling wasn't dark as well. In this room (nr 20) was four weak spotlights in the ceiling and two lamps on the nightstand, of which one was broken. I didn't dare to put my dark underwear in the closet, because I was afraid losing them for ever... The stairway was also rather dark. There were lights automatically turning on as you walked down, but you had to take a few steps down to make it react. Quite annoying if you are in a hurry. The holder of the shower head was broken. It was not possible to clamp it on the rising rod, it was falling down all the time. Looked brand new, and had probably never worked, maybe installed in a wrong way? The shower hose was to short to reach the top of my head without bending. (I'm of medium height, 182 cm).
