The staff were very helpful and friendly, with excellent English, and the owners Martin and Frank very welcoming. The room was very tastefully furnished and the public areas of the hotel were first class - the hotel is a very interesting old building. An excellent choice for couples or for a weekend away. The location is a little south of the town centre, but no more than a 15 minute walk from the main attractions (it's easy to take the tram). |

Enjoyed the ambience of the hotel and its beautiful decor We were in an attic room - it became stiflingly hot overnight. There was AC but to switch on and off entailed getting out of bed - barely slept. Also narrow, very creaky, double bed. This was changed for the better on the last night of our stay. |

Upon arrival soothing piano music in the lobby immediately calmed the nerves after a long car trip. Lovely old world ambiance, solicitous service and a spacious room with a comfortable bed led to the feeling we were truly on a holiday! |

The welcome, the beautiful surroundings and interesting furnishings. The fresh, quality, breakfast. Unfortunately the bed was very creaky and moving during the night woke me several times. Also beverages should be available in all rooms. |

Beautiful building, excellent service from the owner. He is renovating the hotel with an expert eye for detail and authenticity. Don't be put off by this. It is not a building site but is work in progress. The comfort of the guests still appeared to be paramount. Get the owner to tell you all about the history of the building and what he is doing. We were in an attic room during a heat wave! It was hot! There were a lot of stairs (61) to get to the room. |

Very friendly and made a great effort to make us feel welcome, attention to detail was very high. The Hotel itself is beautiful. We were put in the Top most room which was very well decorated but like all Attic Type rooms it was unbearably hot. There was a standalone AC unit but this could not be used as it required a wall or window outlet for the hot exhausted air. We were only able to use the fan feature was was next to useless as it did not pivot and was low to the ground. There was no way we could have stood another night as the room temperature was near 30 deg C. |

It is a very nice old-style building. There is free WIFI. Don't choose the standard rooms. They're on the top of the building and very low (2.30m). Because there is no elevator you also have to walk almost 80 stairs. It is not possible to look out of the windows (4 Velux) in a normal position. It is difficult to get or to keep the room cool in summertime. Choose the more Luxury rooms (as i did the the first time): they certainly deserve a 10! |

Excellent hotel, with pleasant and helpful staff in a quiet and authentic place just 10 minutes walking distance from the city centre. Quick connection to the highway and parking place available. Free wireless internet, a spacious room and a great breakfast. |
