Hotel ibis Dinant is a 5-minute drive from central Dinant and has views of Meuse River. It features free Wi-Fi in the hotel rooms and in the lobby, bike rental services and a bar.
Score from 745 reviews Very good
Very friendly staff in helping us get hot water and heating food for our baby. Pretty landscape, but the playground for kids is on a hill, so not suitable for smaller kids.
We stayed in a 3 person room. The room is small. The main bed is good, but the extra bed is a very hard rollaway bed. I am very flexible for different beds, but this one gives me a backache and very shallow sleep. The hotel charges too much for the comfort of bed they offer. (P.S. The fair we paid is for 3 people; not 2 people+one extra bed for extra cost)
Great setting. Easy to find.
Restaurant only open at weekends. Bar didn't have some drinks we wanted eg brandy.
Picturesque surroundings, nice building, and great views. It's a pity we didn't have enough time to stay and have a bike ride. Very good breakfast. Really, we enjoyed it. Everything was fresh and tasty. I'd come back again even for that breakfast only! Wi-fi was also one big plus. Strong signal everywhere, fast connection... Just great.
Floor in our room was creaking on every our step. Rooms could be bigger or better proportioned. We took a room for 3 adults, hoping the single bed will be a bit detached from the double, but beds were really too close, one could hardly sit on a floor between them. Almost all the table was occupied by a TV, so it was impossible to settle a laptop there. It was not totally clean, but generally ok. The main issue is a parking, which is located 100m outside of the building. We arrived in heavy rain, but the staff asked us to move the car to the parking, even there are several unused parking slots for their own minivans much closer the the main entrance. Not a big problem, but a bit unfriendly, I'd say.
It is a proper (very cool-looking) chateau! price/quality for our Mon-Sun night stay was just great The hotel has a large surrounding territory (actually it is a really nice park) Nice and chateau-inside-like common area (where a hotel bar is)
Price for breakfast is high
Beautiful grounds, lovely breakfast, stunning architecture. Overall a lovely night!
Great location, wonderful views, good things to keep the children happy such as games room and outdoor facilities.
Pillows were really thick and hard which prevented a good nights sleep which was a real shame as the beds were very comfortable. Restaurant wasn't open but we went to a great Italian restaurant called Venezia only 5k away. Breakfast was expensive at 15 euros each so for us, a family of 6, it was much cheaper to go out and buy pastries, juice and chocolate milk.
1. The location ; a big park with outside activities available 2. The bar and the lounge area is big and comfortable 3. The breakfast area has a nice view on the park
1. it is not obvious where to park (300 meters away from the hotel) and I ended up in a impasse 2. when arriving at 7pm there was no staff at the reception desk. I had to look for someone at the bar 3. I guess it was bad luck, but our room window faced a wall, which is a bit frustrating considering the nice surrounding 4. Room was a bit noisy ; you can hear people from others bathroom 5. weak plastic cups in the bathroom instead of glass 6. Diner is a 35 € buffet. No alternative if you want a cheaper / lighter meal
This is the castle from fairy tail! Such a beautiful view from the restaurant, huge territory with tow playgrounds and tennis courts and much more, just 25 min drive from Namur. Good breakfast, free parking, excellent stuff speaks perfect English. Marvellous Chateau in a very good state (which is not always the rule with those Chateau's :)!
The standard double room is tiny, though the bathroom is very big and nicely equipped. We could hardly move around simultaneously and place our tow bags somewhere. The rest was perfect though.
Gorgeous place. We got an amazing room for 3 people. Very peaceful. Beds are great. Good price for the room.
Breakfast is overpriced. They're taking advantage of the fact that it's in the middle of nowhere. And since we were backpacking through we didn't really have many options. The closest restaurant was 2 km away. Wi-Fi was somewhat poor signal wise, but not a big deal.
What a wonderful place! The staff were friendly & helpful. dinner & breakfast were exceptional - good home produced food. We really hope to go back for a longer stay.
Low beams in our bedroom! A small niggle however as we managed not to crack our skulls.
- location on a hill with view over the forest - friendly staff
- no breakfast facilities after 10am, no restaurants in the neighboorhood - the lobby was full of backpacks and trollies for a group of people at a seminar
the view was amazing and the food was very good
the price of the drinks was very expensive
It was a nice castle atmosphere, fare from large centers, and the staff was nice
Food and views
Hotel staff and their poor service
Don’t be decived by it’s exterior, this is 3-star hotel in 5-star chateau setting, with beautiful main building exterior and it’s surroundings. So don’t expect great welcome and royal service, just enjoy the scenery and you won’t regret it. We got room in adjacent building, and although it was newly refurbished and fairly clean, interior lacked atmosphere and character you’d expect to find in such interesting exterior. Nevertheless, we had a good night sleep in big comfy bed, and afterwards enjoyed our first morning coffee on the main terrace with stunning views. For 47€/night for standard double room w/o breakfast, we have definitely got more then we bargained for. Don’t forget gps.
The chateau was a nice bldg, nice garden..ok to visit, but not stay.
1St, you don't really stay at the chateau, you stay in the nxt bldg..if you advertise chateau, I expect to stay in the chateau..this is not my 1st time to stay in chateaus, this one was misleading Bathrm, didd'nt have a window- it had a fowl smell of mold fr moldy towels, even after spraying, 5mins after, smell is still there..awful, it goes thru your lungs/throat! Room was very small..VERY Expensive for what you get..stay somewhere else..High floor, not good if you have elders with you, or if you have knee problem.
Quiet. Good rounds to explore. Very good breakfast but at a price.
Not given room expected. No restaurant either night of our stay and quite a long way to other restaurant amenities. Suggested restaurants quite expensive.
The landscape and the building seen from outside...
Breakfast: limited variety of cheese, only boiled eggs (no omelet or scrambled eggs). The staff not particularly eager to help and distant. Our room was not spacious although we had a triple one. The extra bed was too small for our 7 year old kid...
TINY room (but inexpensive 'late night deal.'
Grounds are beautiful. Beds are comfortable
Inside is very modern dark and cramped. Food is not very good
The food is good. The rooms are furnished with a lot of taste. bathroom is very clean and spatious.
The buffet was a little poor. Only one sort of vegetable. Two of the four lights didn't work in the bathroom.
Very elegant chateau, beautiful grounds. Marvellous views .superb food but a bit overpriced €35 for 3 courses - buffet style so that meant you had to serve yourself!!! Breakfast plentiful - lots of choice.
People who have health issues really should check wether they are in main chateau or anex . Anex is quite a walk carrying luggage and in our case up 2 long flights of stairs. Decor in our anex dreary - clean but very dark!!
We had two double rooms. (Think we got great deal with booking.com)Spotlessly clean and modernised. Beautiful areas downstairs and in bar and fun to be able to relax and play family games. Had excellent meal in nearby village. Was nice for our last stopover on route home.
Bit remote but expected that. Shame about pouring rain and thick fog. Breakfast sounded too expensive to stay for. Couldn't see out of our window.
Rooms were a good size, nice bathroom. Excellent breakfast. Good recommendation for local restaurant.
Staff were efficient but could have been a bit more welcoming and friendly. Views from family room disappointing given the location.
Location is great, people are great, had a wonderful time there. Enough to do even when there is bad weather outside
The rooms were a bit small, but this is really a minor point. It was still comfortably sized.
