It is a small, family owned hotel, only 8 rooms. Each room is decorated with a taste. Maybe hairdryers in the room |

A little architectural jewel hidden in a nondescript suburb of Liege. Very nicely restored, internal decor tasteful and sympathetic to the historic style of the building, with family portraits etc to emphasise its history as a family home. Even our budget rooms were spacious and stylish with lovely en suite bathroom. Well tended grounds. Quiet and relaxing. It is about 3km from the town centre and during our stay the restaurant was closed, so for dinner, we had to find our way to the centre and then search out restaurants. Two things would have eased this process. The first is easy, the second has cost issues. The hotel could easily produce a page or two of directions to restaurants and perhaps even agree some discount arrangement with good ones. Secondly, a shuttle bus into town would ease the transport issue but the cost would probably make it uncommercial, even if a small charge were made. The hotel staff were less in evidence than is expected by most guests. When leaving for dinner, we found reception unmanned, so were unable to seek advice. Breakfast was also unattended, so even though it was a self-service buffet, no one came to check that we had all we needed. Minor issues but it is these details that count in striving for excellence. |

I liked the friendly and warm welcome when we arrived. Even though we were in budget rooms, they were large, clean and tidy with a very comfortable bed. The bed linen was crisp and luxurious and other fabrics such as the counterpain, curtains, chairs and occasional cushions all matched There was a DVD player in one of the rooms and sufficient easy chairs to watch it. Without sat nav it may have been difficult to find. The location of the hotel was not in a very good area and the nearby city of Liege was very dirty with nothing to recommend. All the channels on the TV were tuned to one station, but had we asked I am sure that someone would have tuned in other stations, and I forgot to mention it when we checked out. |

The Chateau has been in Liege since 1818, due to economic restraints over the years its land has been sold off, consequently the city has en-golfed it. The revamped Chateau has been done perfectly, retaining it character and charmyet modern and fresh. There is loads of room and the staff and breakfast excellent. Private driveway need simple attention. |

It was late by arrival, therefore the main door was closed, but there was someone who came very fast after ringing the bell. The building was very old and therefore interesting. At checking in no english was spoken and I do not speak french lanquage, however it was not a major problem. |

The hotel offers fine, confortable accomodation in spacious rooms. The hotel is fine, but the location is in a fairly drab suburb of Liege. One could argie that this description applies to Liege itself. |
