Chateau Neufays

We stayed in the Chateau with friends for a short time but really want to come back again! The place has the atmosphere of a real historical castle, but with modern comfort. The rooms are big, and elegant: high selling, paintings on the wall, nice details, comfortable classical furniture – add a nice glass of wine on the terrace with fantastic view on the Belgium Ardennes – these all make the stay unforgettable and romantic. On the factual side: the beds are very comfortable and bathrooms are big (really ROOMs, not just a bad and WC :) modern … Location is the best: we had a nice walking scroll along the traditional Belgium village; SPA town is really within a short car ride –we enjoyed thermals and nice dinner with Belgium cousin in the town. There is much more to see around... Good idea to have a nice stay with friends with a BBQ in a nice garden and a trip around Belgium small cities next couple of days 

Very nice place to get a feeling of an original castle of the 19th century. Antique furniture. The rooms are very stylish and clean, beautiful view of the countryside from the windows. About 5 minutes by car to the town of spa with a historical wellness town and a similar distance to nice forested hills for hiking in the ardennes. We had a very good time.

Qualité de l'accueil, l'espace (pour une famille de 6, 3 chambre doubles, une cuisine et un salon, d'une surface d'environ 180 m2), l'architecture de la maison.

J'ai séjourné au Château Neufays la nuit du 9 au 10 mars 2013 avec ma famille (4 personnes). Nous en sommes repartis avec des pieds de plomb tellement nous nous y sentions bien dans la suite familiale qui nous avait été attribuée: deux grandes chambres, une cuisine équipée, un living-room de haut standing, une énorme salle de bain avec baignoire et cabine de douche. Pour les amoureux de lustres qui pendent depuis des plafonds hauts et de longs rideaux qui tombent royalement au sol, le Château Neufays est un endroit incontournable. à cela il faudrait ajouter les oeuvres d'art accrochés au mur qui témoignent du goût des maîtres des lieux. Nous nous sommes promis d'y retourner pour un plus long séjour.

Prachtig appartement

We dachten dat het een hotel was, maar het was een appartement. De lokatie was goed en het appartement was ook volledig in orde behalve de tv, die werkte niet.

Grootte van appartement, ligging

Het was er koud (en bij melding aan de eigenaar, bevestigde hij dit alleen maar, maar er werd niets aan gedaan, wij hebben dus met 2 truien en een donsdeken rond ons in de living gezeten 's avonds) Reactie van de eigenaar : het is toch zomer... (Datumgewijs klopt dit, maar het was al enkele weken zeer regenachtig en koud, dus het was geen plotse koudedag of zo, het was buiten maar rond de 15 graden en binnen was het niet veel warmer ... Er was slechts warm water voor één persoon en het water dat uit de leidingen komt, stinkt !). Het appartement is voorzien voor 4 personen. Internet werkte pas nadat we de eigenaar hierop gewezen hadden. Televisie werkte wel, maar enkel arabische zenders beschikbaar, of aziatische zenders, of italiaanse zenders ... Geen DVD-speler voorzien, ondanks dat dit wel vermeld stond op de website. Eigenaar is vriendelijk, maar heeft totaal geen interesse in het welzijn van z'n gasten!!!! Zeer duur voor bitter weinig kwaliteit. !!!!!!!!!!!!!! totale afrader !!!!!!!!!!!

Wundervolles Apartment, grosszügig und sehr schön, liebevoll eingerichtet. Grosser Park mit herrlichem Blick auf die Ardenen. Beste Lage, sehr freundliche Gastgeber. Viel Dank

Had the pleasure of staying here for 3 nights in Aug. Lovely big rooms- perfect for a family as has small kitchen for meal prep which saves money. Having a dishwasher was a plus. Beds and feather duvets very comfortable. Good location for easy travel to Spa town centre and Liege. If u can,visit Coo, very pretty village with adventure activities on the river, a ski lift/cable ride and Plopsa kids little theme park.

If I was to pick something that could do with improving it would be the bath towels, these were rather on the small side. More like a hand towel.

Spacious

Spacious, big and equiped flat

Very weak heated . Not enough hot Water, thé children got a hot bath, after that no hot water , we waited over an hour and neither my husband or my self could get a normal shower or bath. We had to have a cold shower, not convenient at all specially when it s freezing outside with snow . The flat was quiet cold aswell .

It is a good located. If you want to have a nice holidays in Ardennes you can go for it, however only if you are traveling without children.

Rooms are old, ouality of service is poor, furniture is outdated. I would not recommend it for families with children, especially with infants. There is no daily service. We stayed for 2 nights and out rooms was not cleaned after first night.
