The Motel One Brussels is centrally in Brussels, a 10-minute walk from the Grand-Place, the Manneken Pis Statue, the Rue Neuve Shopping District and Brussels-Central Train Station.
Score from 3213 reviews Excellent
Located 1970 ft from both the Madou and Botanique metro stations, Best Western Hotel Royal Centre offers spacious, charming rooms with free Wi-Fi.
Score from 1162 reviews Good
In the heart of the historic center of Brussels, the Bedford Hotel is a boutique hotel just a quarter mile from the Grand-Place.
Score from 7242 reviews Very good
On the Place Rogier, Hotel Siru is only a 5-minute walk from the center of Brussels. It has modern rooms and free Wi-Fi throughout the hotel.
Score from 916 reviews Good
comfortable and large bed, room cleanliness, quite area
slow wifi, mood of the staff at the reception (it seems to be difficult for them to smile/greet their customers), better quality coffee could be provided for the rooms
Location near Place Rogier, breakfast (if you are into bacon and eggs)
Location near the somewhat restless Gare du Nord area
It was located about a ten minute walk from good shopping and tourism areas. The room was large enough to be comfortable for three people. Staff were friendly and the room was very clean.
The hotel is located literally around the corner from the red light district.
The room and bed were comfortable The Wifi was free and working fine
The price was way too high for what it was The staff was not nice There was no dedicated space in the room to hang a suit
Hotel outdated but comfortable, very reasonably priced for Brussels on a weeknight. Close to train/metro station.
Right next to red light district. Did not feel unsafe though.
Nothing at all.
Extremely small rooms. Cheap plastic furniture. Neon lights in the room. Shower unit defective. TV control not working. Poor breakfast. Red light district location. Unbelievably high price for what is on offer. Deceptive presentation of rooms and hotel on the internet.
Heating wasn't working
The rooms are good and the beds are comfortable
the pathway to the centre is not very friendly for strangers
- nice shower facilities
- the whole building seems untended - bad water pressure in the bathroom - dirty towels and shower curtain - slow WiFi with bad reception in most of the building - bad printout of city map, no tourist information brochures available
The room itself and staff
The distance from transportation and the unpleasant, seemingly abandoned neighbourhood around the hotel. It did not feel safe and was inconveniently located. I'm a fast walker and am in great shape, yet I found the distance off-putting relative to the hotel's name (City Centre). It is central if you have a car. It is not central for an average tourist. Misleading description, but great staff and nice room.
Wi-fi was ok, the room was quiet.
I stayed here with my family and had 5 rooms in total. The location was really bad, a bit on the fringe of the city centre, at night the area was full of prostitutes and people consuming drugs, not ideal for a family. First they put us in the third floor, where we found the rooms to be in quite a bad state, mouldy shower courtains, stains in the walls, the cleanliness was not great. After we complained we got moved to the fifth and second floor which have recently been renovated. The rooms were better but not great. We would have moved to another hotel but had no choice as our booking conditions didn't allow it. We stayed two nights and when trying to do the check out we had a massive argument with someone called Sunaj or Sunai in reception as he wanted to charge the whole group for two breakfasts (at 12.5€ each!) for the two days we had stayed. The first day only one person had had breakfast and the second day only half of the 11 people group. He even wanted to charge me for the breakfast of an extra person in my double room (I was alone in the room as my wife was not able to join us). They had absolute no control of who was staying, or who had had breakfast. He supposedly called the person who was in reception the day before and said he had confirmed we had had breakfast, it was ridiculous and amazing having to argue with someone for 30minutes and need to prove we were not lying. They definitely need to improve their process and hire better staff. Anyway, I would never recommend this hotel to anyone, it was probably one of the worst hotels I have been to (it wasn't that cheap either) and I have travelled quite a bit. So basically, the building is pretty aged and not well kept, the staff was really rude, and the location was bad.
Terrific value for money. Staff was courteous, helpful and very eager to speak English to us.
It's not exactly in the best part of town although it was certainly safe and secure. Although under construction, it was still a very restful stay when we were in the hotel.
Not to far from central square, and appeared to be value for money.
1st i booked twin room ended having double room, we then were re located to a twin room. The hotel looked like a building site. Hammering and drilling started really early in the morning, the car was parkes outside the hotel we asked the receptionist if we were ok to park there, which she responded possitively yes. Following morning the police came to recepotion to ask if the car belonged to a customer at the hotel (english number plate car) she said no. As a consequence we missed our meering the following day, lost 310 euros to get back the car, 20 euros for taxi. So really if not most definatly the worst experienced received so far. With the most lack of common sence and initiative. Very disapointing. Ps. The police told should they the hotel confirmed the car belongs to them none of this would have happened.
After chasing mising towels on the first day the towels were changed each subsequent day... Leaving on the last day...
The tiny business single [sic] room which wasn't even up to the 16 m2 of the description let alone any of the hotels published photos of same.. Yes there was a "flat screen TV" but the table lamp had been put on the floor to make it fit... There was also a [locked] mini-bar which took most of the space under this tiny working? table. So no room to do any "business" on this on this doubly obstructed surface. The bed making "skills" seemed limited to putting the duvet back on top of an otherwise untouched creased sheets. NB the bed linen and also pillow cases were not changed in the three days/nights stay in this 3*? hotel in humid close weather .... Breakfast wasn't much to write home about either although it was available at 07-00 each day....
hotel is under refurbishment, yet it is too noisy and unclean
It is close to business buildings.
Did not have frigobar internet slow
Comfort beds, Quite area, 15 minute walk from Grand Place, free internet access.
Everything in the hotel was excellent
friendly staff, clean room, comfortable bed, wifi connection, coffee and tea available in the room
hotel location, room size
The rooms are comfortable, beds and shower are in good condition.
Very bad wifi connection! Strange attitude at the reception. Very close to a lot of reconstructions (hard to reach the center fast). The red lights district is just around the corner, so it's quite dangerous and uncomfortable to walk through it after 8pm. During over stay there was also a huge reconstruction of the air system on the 2nd floor, so it was also rather noisy and "drilly".
I arrived around 11:00 and got my room sooner.
They over charged me 5€ and let me sign a paper that I approved the extra 5€. The comments on the site they mention breakfast, but forget to mention clearly that you have to pay an extra 12,50€. Next to the glass container making a lot of noise. Pushy about the breakfast. Claustrophobic tha halls are really really small. I traveld a lot this is by far the worst experience ever, hidden costs. If I knew this I would pay exactly the same for a better Hotel. Feels like being screwed and you have to sign a paper for approval, its like being Ryanaired.
Nice hotel located close to the historical center and shopping area, metro is approx. 5 min walk. The staff is very helpful and friendly, especially Mr. Jordi from reception was excellent. The rooms are clean, bed was comfortable and during the night it was a quiet place. In front of a hotel there is a police station so I would say it's also a safe place to stay. I would recommend this hotel as it was near to the centre and a good value for money.
i love my girlfriend
the bad people around the station and the dirt outside
Petit dejeuner trés bon.
Travaux pendant mon sejour.
Staff were great, I was staying there with my two Young Children and the staff were great and very helpful. Unfortunately, Brussels is not the best Place for Children but the hotel was great Breakfast was good too
The park nearby has a bad reputation with homeless and ladies of easy virtue - I didnt see any of these There are no Childrens amenities nearby, but thats Brussels not the hotels fault
