Nice interiors of entrance hall, very characteristc Brussels buildings from the interwar years, 5 mins walk from Brussels North Station. My room was spacious and comfortable. All quite efficient.
good location to visit the main sites of the old city centre, also good car park nearby
Great hotel with a really interesting history
It was an old style hotel but for price and location hard to beat. Breakfast quite good and reasoanbly priced.
location hotel comforteble rooms
Location rooms at streetside, much tot noisy.
If you want something new and pristine go elsewhere, this hotel is a beautiful old girl with lots of history and character, rooms are clean and bathrooms modern.
The price and the position of the Hotel are great. From there you can easily reach every attraction of Brussels.
The Hair dryers are not available in the rooms, you have to ask for them at the reception.
Very clean room and you can sleep very nice. Also very quite.
Small room for 2 people. Doesn't ride us from the airport and also the reseption little rude. You can't stay there over 3 days.
Perfect staff.Very good location . beautyfull lobby
a litlle bit old style room
Nice history and comfortable enough.
Internet was slow, slow, slow.
Lift, friendly staff
No hot pot in room
Liked location, handy for underground. Liked the room and bathroom. Liked the lift! Liked the Breakfast. Good all-rounder - would go again!
There is not air conditioning system in the rooms. In summer days you will probably have to open the windows because the temperature could be too high to sleep.
Nice old hotel. Staff was good.
Fire security not good. Excape route poorly markt. Room and the hole hotel need renovation.
On the first night I did not sleep because there was a Muslim festival of Ramadan in the hotel all night and the Staff of the hotel did nothing to stop the party.
Clean, quiet (6 th floor),
Breakfast not included in the price On the check-in the reception staff insisted to charge my credit card despite my long (7 days) staying.
City-near location but quiet on the room. Nice and friendly staff always there to help. Rooms okey and lovely breakfast.
I only stayed one night. The location, the style of the building. It was clean.
No plugs (only one fot TV - 2 m high...) shower gel expired-smelling horrible, I was asked to leave my bank card to the reception-this is not normal!
convenient location comfortable room close to city centre
more english tv channels would be good
- The room quite big with a table and two chairs and a fridge. sheets are clean and seemed to be changed each 4 days. Towels are clean as well and changed daily. - I asked for a quiet room and that's what I've got; as I couldn't hear any noise coming from outside, even with the window open - Nice and helpfull staff at the reception desk - 02mn from a metro station and 10mn walking from the train station "Gare du Nord" - plenty of restaurants and caffé all arround
- The rooms need to be refreshed (at least the one I stayed in); the wallpaper was black on some places of the wall, which means problem of humidity - The doors!!! at each floor, you have a door that leads you to your hall. when ever you open one, you think that you are in an old castle or in one of the Alfred Hitchcock horror movie. and if you don't hlod it, it slaps!!! My room was next to one of those doors, and when ever someone open it, I thought they are opening mine. I don't know if because I was tired, or because after 11pm, there weren't a lot of movement in the hotel, I have to admit that when sleeping I didn't hear any of this anyoying noise. - there's no hair dryer in the bathroom, and you are given a small piece of soap and a fixed bottle of a 2in 1 shampoo and shower gel. - To iron your clothes, you need to go to the 1st floor where you can find the table and the iron in quite a bad shape (especially the table) - In my case, the breakfast was not included and it was 15€, I took it the first day and didn't find the buffet varied and great for the price, I found a café 05mn walk from the hotel where you can get a fresh orange juice, a coffe and two viennoisries of your choice (croissant, pain au chocolats,..) for 5€ and it was delicious
3rd time here. My cricket club stays here each year on our Brussels tour. The hotel is clean and comfortable and is value for money in its great location.
There are few staff who cannot give instant attention to guests. As the building is old there may be plumbing problems in your bathroom.
The plumbing in tis hotel is suspect. On the first floor, dirty water would gurgle out of the drain hole at times when the shower was not in use. This was signalled to the front desk on Saturday morning, but nothing had been done to rectify the problem by the time of our return in the evening. Evening staff were reluctant to disturb the manageress who had gone home for the evening, only leaving a note for the morning staff, who could do nothing on a Sunday. Eventually, on the morning (Monday) of our departure, a technician came to sort out the problem, some 48 hours after the problem had been signalled to staff. Seems that nothing can be done at weekends.
Great location. Walking distance from the Nord train station and easy walk or metro into the Grand Place. No frills but very comfortable accommodations.
Very few interesting restaurants nearby.
The breakfast situation. It should be inclusive and at present it is badly organised with separate payment.Time wasting first thing in the morning. Breakfast too expensive as well.
Friendly and efficient staff, convenient location
Wi-fi did not work; TV had just a few viewable channels, the rest was noise; there was only one electric outlet for charging a phone or laptop, which was located in the bathroom above the sink; the room probably saw its last paint job a decade ago; small bathroom with very tiny shower
