Worst experience ever. Booked a park sleep and fly but instead of staying in the hotel first we preferred to go on a holiday and then sleep in the Crown Plaza wen we returned. At 6AM we arrived, left the car on the parking. The receptionist, who didn’t spoke dutch, was confused by this, and asked us several times if we were checking in or out.
When we got back, 12 day’s later, it only got worse. We arrived at the hotel at 9 in the morning. We were told we were too early and the room wasn’t ready yet. Unless we paid another 100 euro’s, then the room was immediately available. She told us we could maybe check in at 1PM but definitely at 2PM. I’m aware of the ‘hotel rules’ but thats what you call service… Very satisfying to hear when you had an intercontinental flight of 7 hours and you stayed in one of the hotels of their Group.
In the park, sleep and fly there was 14 day’s of parking included. We returned after 12 day’s and at the check in I needed to sign an agreement: my parking day’s would be charged at 28 euro’s a day. Excuse me but 14 day’s parking included and after 12 day’s trying to charge someone extra? Kind of a scam no? Seems like money is more important to them than the client. Travelled allover the world (Lisbon, Prague, NYC, Dubai…) and never encountered such problems. In fact it happend to me once that the room wasn’t ready (was only 9.AM, hotel rules check in 2.PM) and the staff checked me in and told me that the room would be ready within the hour, without extra charge… That’s what you call service
So at about 2.30 PM we tried again to check in. Same story again: too early, despite the fact that another receptionist mentioned these hours. After checking if the room was available we finally got to the hotel room and could get some sleep. But only for a short while a little bit later our room was opened by someone. No idea who it was but it was kind of strange.
