The hotel is legendary indeed being pictured on all cards with the iconic view of Brugge. Location is amazing, staff is very helpful and welcoming. The hotel overall is charming and romantic. Can't recommend enough.
It was quite cold in the room and no option to adjust the temperature (or we didn't find it, as our friend in another room had it).
Excellent location, helpful staff, good breakfast.
No ventilation in bathroom caused mould on tiles and ceiling, had not been cleaned well.
Absolutely brilliant. An amazing and cozy little hotel in a fantastic location - the perfect place to retire to after a day of sight seeing around Brugge. The staff were also extremely helpful and friendly. We could not have been more happier with our stay.
Unique room with lots of charm, friendly staff willing to make you comfortable through out your stay, and location close to the main square and shops
It looks fantastic, wonderful location, stylish decor and very attentive staff. In a city full of charming hotels this one stood out. In a dark and very cold December it was warm, Christmasy and welcoming.
Our room was styled to look charming and traditional. The compromise was that the lighting was a bit dim in some corners and it could have done with a bigger table or console - just to put 'stuff' on. Breakfast was expensive and I just couldn't justify spending on it for myself. We had breakfast round the corner.
The Relais Bourgondisch Cruyce was the complete package, everything the staff said, did or provided made you feel special. Every aspect was catered for and the attention to detail was second to none. Cannot rate this hotel enough plus we had hotel envy from everybody else who was staying in Bruges that wasn't styaing at the Relais Bourgondisch Cruyce!
Having to leave.
Relaxing atmosphere, excellent service, location couldn't be better.
Rooms. Beds. Helpful friendly staff but not over-the-top.
Breakfast could have had more variation in self-serve area

a menu for breakfast to show what actually is available.
Stunning location - with views across the canal Friendly, helpful staff Cute but well designed bedroom and spacious bathroom Immaculately clean Very charming experience - festive, warm and homely The tastiest waffles and chocolate sauce I've ever had
Wifi in room was sporadic - downstairs in reception it was fine. Bed was saggy in the middle - we complained about it the next day. They were most apologetic - we should have said something before.
We arrived late at night and the staff were happy to send a pot of hot tea to our room. The room was lovely, up in the eaves totally refurbished with lovely marble bathroom. Excellent location. Easy internet, great staff.
Location is just perfect! We had a lovely couple of days and will come back for sure!! Great staff, breakfast was amazing, superb location...what else do you really want :-)
The location is superb, as is the hotel itself - a picture postcode of the quintessential romantic hotel. The staff were brilliant; always polite and courteous, offering a friendly smile at all times.
The only slight drawback is the unfortunate location of a sex shop right next door to the hotel. Although this wasn't an issue for us, it may put some travellers off a little.
Wonderful location by the canal and in the middle of the old town; comfortable hotel; and very friendly and helpful staff. Nice to find very old leather-bound books in the room.
The hotel has great views over the canal, but it also has rooms with no view at all, and we were given one of these, which was a bit disappointing. We would go again, but would make sure to book a room with a view.
This gorgeous hotel is in the perfect location in beautiful Bruge. The staff were excellent and very helpful. Breakfast was very nice and our room was lovely. Nothing bad to say!
Location was excellent and we had a room overlooking the canal which was lovely. Its actually the most photographed part of Bruges. The staff were the best part of the hotel experience - they were all wonderful could not have done more to help! The look of the hotel was very nice but our room (no. 21 - a Classic room) was in reality too small. We lovely the Matisse sketch in our room and the Klint sketches in the foyer. In Bruges we'd highly recommend the Bier Brasserie Cambrinus to sample the 400+ beers and hiring bikes to cycle round the edge of Bruges to view the windmills (4 euro per hour).
Really surprised that this is a 4 star hotel and I think the hotel website is a bit misleading. The decor and style are lovely (4*) but there's no bar or restaurant, and you can't make a drink in your room. Room service is for drinks only. Our room was to small - lots of bruises from getting up in the night! Absolutely hated not having a fridge or drink making ability in bedroom. Breakfast was limited and of mixed quality. Given its a small hotel the range of continental breakfast was to be expected and ok. You're also offered bacon, eggs, tomatoes, or waffles. The waffles were highly recommended but make sure you ask for maple syrup. The bacon was almost cremated and they cannot poach an egg!
Everything - the staff, the decor, the location, breakfast, I could go on!!
The bed was a BIT sagged in the middle - but I could get over this. Having said that, if you had a bad back I don't think it would be great. We did have the standard room. Can't speak for the more 'Luxe' options! Loved our stay.
room, city, service
Excellent location. Very friendly and helpful staff. In rooms with canal view, the view is really amazing. Decoration. Breakfast with a large assortments of excellent cheeses (~10 different kinds). Convenient arrival with car.
We have room 21 with canal view (Classic Double Room). The room is quite small with lack of storage facilities (small wall closet, almost without shelves and drawers). If you stay only one or two nights it's not a problem but being four nights with half of all our stuff in the suitcases was not very pleasant. The bed was king size but instead of big double mattress there were two single mattresses. So if, inspired by the romantic view from your room window, you try to move a little bit closer to your spouse, you fall into the gap between two mattresses. Pillars were too stiff. No pen and paper in the room. The room was connected to adjacent room by beautiful wooden door but with visible air gaps (e.g. not sound proof). Fortunately for us, the adjacent room was either empty or occupied by a very quiet guests. No tea/coffee making facilities (probably because of not enough space to put it). Clear to me that the hotel cannot enlarge rooms but some of the things mentioned above can be corrected without moving walls.
The website is misleading. The room description give a dimensional size of the room in sq. meters. On my confirmation I was to have a 30 M room. Upon arrival the room was so small I couldn't open the closet door as the bed obstructed the door swing. There was a totally broken chair which we asked to have removed from the room and the duvet cover had holes. Never ask for a room with a canal view. Along the hotel on the canal side is the starting & ending point for canal tours. The guides use microphones and its very loud and disturbing to hear all the different languages broad-casted throughout the day. The location of the hotel is just a few feet off a major busy street in Bruges and is quite conjested. The Organerie is a much better place to stay for the money. I do not recommend this hotel to anyone.
Perfect location and beautiful building, Breakfast was just ok.
NOT a 5 star hotel. Cleaning was not very good. It is incredible small and does not have any 5 stars facilities such as pool, sauna, spa, robes, good toiletries, etc. Does not provide any food other than breakfast. They said they have a restaurant but it is 3 blocks away. The whole property was manned by 2 employees during the day and 1 at night. Bathrooms need substantial improvement.
Super friendly professional staff, fairytale hotel/location right in the center of Bruges. We will go back soon!
Location Breakfast was really good Comfortable room
No bar. Always had to ring doorbell for entry No shower gel No tea and coffee making facilities In the room
The hotel is located in the best part of Bruges and has the best view of the canal. It is close to Markt and Burg Squares. The view of the rooms which face the canal is amazing. The staff are very helpfull and nice. The breakfast is an open buffet with various options and the food is good. The prices of extras are not very expensive.
The rooms facing the canal can be a bit loud in the mornings because of the announcements from the touristic boats. The sheets and towels were old and their cleaness was OK. There weren't any mini bars in the hotel rooms.
We had a very comfortable three nights, staff where more than helpful kind and corteous
Attitude of waiters and owners at some restuarnts could certainly do with some improvement. Bruges is stunning but advise to not eat at Tourist areas make the effort to explore will save your euros and food is better.
