I loved the history of the hotel, and how it's been very sympathetically decorated to keep the old established feel of quality about it. The bathroom isn't as modern as I'm used to in hotels, but I guess that's part of the charm. All in all, an excellent hotel.

The Location was good.

Can't recommend the place,.. Power sockets didn't work. A light bulb was broken There were dirty glasses on the mini bar The Internet didn't work in our room. THe hotel is just overrated and relies on its name but doesn't deliver the quality you would expect for the price.

It's history.

Small bedroom. No shower cubicle. No bedside table.

The personnel were very friendly, we felt comfortable. The hotel was in the center, very easy access (walking distance) from the train station. Also the hotel respected its history from 1398, this was a nice feeling.

Situation. Friendly staff. Excellent breakfasy

It remains the best in town

It is situated in an ideal position for the excellent food provided by the restuarant's on the square. The new shopping centre and individual shops are a delight. It is close to the historical town of Ypres which we visit when we stay at Hotel Damier. We have been coming to the Hotel Damier for about seven years and you have only once been unable to accomadate our requirements. I think our last trip was the eight occasion we have stayed with you. All your staff are very helpfull especially the young lady on reception.

One comment is that there were no drawers in room 72 so we had to use our suit case on the stand.

Helpful friendly staff, car parking facility. Staff spoke good English. Well situated for shopping and surrounded by a variety of very good restaurants.

It wasn't possible to open the windows at night when it was raining as it was very noisy. Our room did not have air conditioning, (although some did) which would have been useful as our room was quite hot.

We had a lovely weekend at Hotel Damier. Very friendly english speaking staff, a clean room, and excellent breakfast. The free mini-bar (soft drinks only) was a very nice touch and the position (right on the market square) was ideal.

Right in the centre on the Grotte Markt. Secure parking for the tandem. Very good breakfast.

Location was brilliant, staff very friendly & helpful, superb breakfast, high quality establishment.

Nothing, all good. I will be back !

Being in the main part of the town made it easy to access shops, restaurants and museums. The Reception staff were extremely friendly and helpful.
