We had a very pleasant stay at this hotel. Comfortable beds and an excellent breakfast. The only thing that spoilt it was the road outside the hotel has been completely dug up. The footpath was covered in mud as it was raining when we arrived. New pipes are being laid. The work starts at 7am and woke us up. I know the work has to be done, but we should have been warned, so that we could make alternative arrangements, if we wanted to.

Courteous staff. Very comfortable beds. Two armchairs in room (a luxury compared with many other hotels!). A very good breakfast. Parking arrangements using a hotel card for access to the nearby public carpark which was free. Only a few small things. We should have been advised that the road outside was completely dug up and had been for a very long time. It would have been extremely noisy had we stayed there in the weekdays! The other niggle is that there is never enough milk in the room teamaking facilities-this is a common complaint and the kettle had such a short lead on it that we had to stand it on the floor near the bed to plug it into the wall socket. The bedside lamps must have been about 10watts, and were not adequate for reading in bed. You also have to be a contortionist to use the loo. Bye the way, best to take your own teabags, unless you like those awful scented ones which our european friends seem to think we like!

Friendly and helpful staff. Excellent continental breakfast. Clealiness of hotel The location close to beach, shops, nightlife, railway station - historic city of Bruges 20 mins away by train. I was visiting family living nearby in Ostend hence my main reason for choosing the hotel. I would highly recommend this hotel.

The hotel is in the centre of the city, close to the beaches and the shops. From arrival you are made to feel very welcome by all the staff. The rooms are comfortable, the curtains thick enough to keep the morning light out if you want a lie in. The tv had literally hundreds of channels - all the popular British channels were available. We were even given a gift from the owners to celebrate New Years Eve. Breakfast was marvellous. The road outside the hotel is completely dug up, cosed to traffic and difficult to negotiate on foot. The toilet is very snug to the bath and leaves little room for expression! The rest of the bath suite is very good.

Extremely friendly staff (owners and their relatives, including their mascot dog!) Breakfast was superb in variaety of foods and table settings - a nice way to start a day! Street on the hotel was under constraction with limited access to the hotel and was difficult to find. Public car park is located a bit far although special in-out card provided by the hotel was quite easy and thoughtful arrangement.

This is a friendly hotel. Very clean. The rooms are very nice with great bathrooms. Good breakfasts and friendly staff At present major road works outside which wake you up at 7am. Therefore suggest you leave you visit until after end of January or you may not see it at its best.

Everyone was helpful & very friendly from the moment we arrived to the time we left. The road outside the hotel is being dug up & as a result the staff went out of their way to assist with unpacking the car & even providing free underground parking nearby. The buffet breakfast was everything that has already been written, just superb! We would certainly return in the future. As already stated the road outside made entry & exit of the hotel awkward. We felt sorry for the hotel that they had to put up with it.

Excellent hotel, bed, shower, breakfast etc. We will definitely be back! (Next time will try to book early for summer to get full advantage of proximity to beach). Owner very helpful checking opening hours of museums etc as were there researching husband's family who had emigrated to Liverpool in 1920'S. Owner had interest in family history to and had done opposite and emigrated from Liverpool! Absolutely none - whole road was being dug up outside hotel, but that is hardly their fault and luckily it was "half term" in Belgium, so workers packed up and left mid afternoon on Friday, so was a touch muddy, but totally quiet after that as not even vehicles could get down road :)

Very friendly owners and great location as we went to see Level 42 at the Kursal. The room had a 4 poster bed and Villeroy & Boch bathroom. The breakfast was fantastic and I don`t think I`ve eaten so much in one meal before !

The hotel is very well situated. THe staff were all welcoming and the decor is very pleasant I had a single room which was very, very small and overfurnished with a desk, two large chairs and a full-sized wardrobe. I was only there for one night so it didn't matter, but it would be very awkward for a longer stay as there was barely room to turn round.
