Quite room Large shower stall Forniture
Small room and small bathroom Dirty carpet: it is better no carpet The vacuum system in the bathroom din not work well
Good location Friendly/helpful receptionist Good wifi connection Clean
Was not hard to find, it could be seen from the train station and only a 5 minute walk from the train station. All was clean except blemishes on carpet in my room. Soap and towels are only amenities. Décor is nice but a little worn. Staff only dealt with two and were cool, not bad not super friendly.
Not much, I had a comfortable stay, no problems. Only a stain and carpet looked a bit dirty, everything else was clean and up kept. The room was a bit cold because of the open window, when I closed it was okay but still could use some heat in the rooms.
- distance to city cetre is 15 minutes by walk - Midi-Zuid station is 5 minutes by walk
- I saw only colliery from my window - cigarette smoke everywhere - noisy environment
helpful staff good location
humidity smell narrow single beds
friendly staff room equipped
The hotel was close to the station and was clean.
The bed was very uncomfortable and they do not distinguish between smokin and non smoking rooms.
The room was dirty, the staff unpleasant and the location although close to the city center it is in a very unsafe neighborhood (a car had a window broken and things stolen from it right in front of the hotel). Furthermore the pictures don't reflect the state of the rooms whatsoever - sheets have spots on them, the furniture is old and there is a weird unpleasant smell throughout the hotel. Also a big downside is that the bathroom has no actual door to separate it from the bedroom - there is a pull-over board which doesn't even isolate it correspondingly to the bedroom - so no privacy if you don't have a single room.
My boyfriend and I stayed at Hotel de France for our short trip to Brussels. It is in a good location. Short distance fr Midi. Room was big and spacious .
The bed was rather uncomfortable.
I had stayed here a couple of times, mainly it is cheaper near midi station. Wifi is good, staff helpful.
This time, the room I got was a smoking room which was full of smoke. I asked for a room change and the guy over there informed me all rooms are smoking only, then he gave another room which was OK, but the sheets smelled full of smoke which is too unpleasant for a non smoker like me and they should have non smoking rooms as well. In this hotel, always the shower is very slow only which they should improve.
Decent breakfast, courteous staff, the bathroom was clan small but good.
No nonsmoking rooms, bedroom has 3 beds though I was a single occupant and no space to walk in front of them, no table to place your bags.
the location near the train station is excellent if you need to take the train early. Also OK for a business trip. Nice welcome, rooms are simple but fine, Wifi, breakfast very good.
the area around the hotel is really ugly, definitely not for sightseeing, not comfortable at night. The rooms are worn down, stains on the carpet, but ok for the price
Breakfast finishes very early.
This hotel is very well located near the Midi Station and all the major tram and metro routes. The City centre is also not far off. Staff polite. Breakfast just sufficient.
The room was a bit stuffy with lack of proper ventilation and the only window opened into a kind of a shaft.
Located is really nice and easy to find. Just near the south station maybe 5min walk.
Staff was really rude to me and my friends. They were not nice to us. I am upset about it. Not friendly !!
Its close to the Midi train station...but that didnt come close to out weighing the negatives.
Everything. The staff came across as cold and rude; the room was dirty-including questionable stains on the bed and towels; the hotel was very noisy; and the surrounding area did not feel safe with arguements on the street, broken shop windows and regular sirens. Worse place we stayed in Europe and not even close to the cheapest.
Staff were extremely helpful, location is excellent and my access to all parts of the city was unparalleled.
Noise from other "guests" at all hours of the night/morning.
Shower Enough towels
- The hotel is located in a bad neighborhood. - The rooms are very dirty and disgusting. - The light in the bathroom was broken and so was the toilet seat. - The bed had hairs in it. - You can hear TVs of other rooms all night. - Electricity cut in the morning. - You can hear talking from other rooms all night. - The carpet is totally disgusting. - The smell in the room is bad. - There's no fresh air - in front of the window is a wall. - Furniture is old and sticky. - Ashtray in a non-smoking room. - The walls are dirty and stained. - Dirty shower.
Good position, low prices, room clean, towels provided.
You get what you pay for... probably a bit less. The toilet lamp flickered heavily and I asked to the receptionist to chance it. He said he would do it later, but he ignored me completely.
Very kind and helpful service.
Price was high, but as for Brussels standards, it shouldn't be surprise.
Location is close to Brussels station. Room is clean. Good value for money.
The hotel could be hard to find. But once you found it, it's actually very close to the station. The bathroom is small but clean.
Low price, convenient location.
Not that clean
Professional reception staff Closed to the Midi Station
Bathroom too small (very tiny sink, weak shower) Area not the safest at night(but no problems) Triple room not the best (but sufficient equipped)
close to train station
felt dirty/dumpy, bad lighting, bathroom fan was very noisy, heard music very late at night.. 2:00am
