The room overlooking the town square was excellent. The breakfast was wonderful. The hotel is also attached to a restaurant where we had a wonderful dinner. The prices were reasonable. The weather was not good so we could not use the outside facilities but they would be welcome on warm days. Slightly narrow staircase, difficult with cases.

I was visiting with a friend & my son & stayed in the suite which was ideal with two rooms. The purpose of our trip was to visit the ww1 sites & the holel was in a lovely situation overlooking the town square with many other bars & restuarants available to relax after our visits. Hotel spotless & friendly well situated for the bus stop & train station with late trains from Eiper. The food served in the restuarnt was superb as was the service. Would certainly return. We seamed to pick a week @ Easter when the hotel bar & restuarant were closed on the Tuesday & Wednesday. As was many other places in town which we put down to the cold start of the season & would assume that when all are open it is a delightful place to visit.

From the moment I arrived I felt special. That feeling remained throughout my all too short visit. The location, an easy walk from the train station, is central to everything Poperinge offers. I was there the two nights that the restaurant is closed, but other guests gave it high marks. The beds and chairs are very comfortable. The hot water in the shower came through immediately, quite unusual for a small hotel. I will return with my wife who is picky, but will love this hotel and it's owners. I found nothing to dislike.

The food and the bar atmosphere was 1st class. For the price I would have prefered more comfort and less design.

We stopped into the attached restaurant before checking in for a beer and luinch. The beer selection was great and the food was top notch. As we were finishing our meals, the owner brought our room key to our table and allowed us to check in at our leisure. We stayed in the 4 person suite which was nicely decorated, and contained the most comfortable beds I have slept in, in Europe. The location is excellent with several restaurants and bars within a two minute walk.

Poperinge is a beautiful little town in Belgium and we were made to feel very welcome by our hosts at the hotel. The hotel has a perfect view of the main town square which is quite pretty and you can view all the goings on of the day. Our room was very spacious and beautifully designed, well furnished, with amenities included, such as free wifi, all at a very reasonable price. The buffet breakfast was very yummy and well worth the extra 12 euro. There is also a fantastic selection of local belgian beers and food in the restaurant downstairs - a must for anyone staying at the hotel. Thankyou Koen and Linda for a memorable stay in Poperinge!

All staff very freindly, rooms were completed in fantastic modern style which surprised us as the external looks very old and in keeping with the gothic surroundings. Rooms very imaculate and clean. The food in the restaurant was also very good. Very central for the town, within the main central square, great road access to the surrounding Flanders area. We visited to view the mass of military graves in the surrounding area etc and found the location ideal.

Location was good in the town square., there is free parking but it is behind the hotel, we didn't find this a problem as it wasn't far and you could park up outside the hotel to drop off and pick up the luggage. There was free wifi we simply asked for the password. The staff were friendly and helpful and spoke good English. The room was very clean and comfortable and a reasonable size. The price was exactly as secured on Booking.com but we didn't have breakfast at the hotel as we thought it was a bit expensive. We went to the poussecafe just up Ieperstraat, lovely pastries and coffee or a full breakfast if you wanted it. The wooden stairs were very noisy and there is no lift. The lift wasn't a problem for us as we were on the first floor, but it might be a struggle with bags if you're on the top.

It is an excellent centrally situated hotel. We were visiting Tyne Cott War Cemetery. The hotel staff greeted us warmly and made us very welcome. The room was a spacious family room, beautifully clean and well appointed in all respects; with a large terrace overlooking the restaurant garden, The restaurant extends into that garden, serving excellent food and is also very popular with locals. The bar of the hotel fronts onto the market square and serves a range of super local beers plus coffee and light snacks with the usual immaculate Belgian service.

Lots of space....two bedrooms, a beautiful balcony and a really outstanding bathroom. The decor is nice and the bedrooms had air conditioning which was quiet and worked well. The main bedroom was a good size, our two boys shared a room which had a large single and a fold out single which was a decent bed and long enough for a lanky teenager. We were also able to have our dog with us for a small charge. There's a snazzy ipod dock in the room but we couldn't get it to work! You can get a really good breakfast at the cafe la poupee across the square for about 5 euros. We arrived on a Wednesday afternoon when the attached cafe was closed so a lady who worked nearby came to let us in...I Don't know if we were the only guests but we didn't see another living soul - guests or staff - in three days! Not really a problem for us as we're pretty independenr but it might not be the right place for everyone. There are no facilities for making a cup of tea, but this seemed to be common on the continent. You have to pay for parking.

No fuss friendly place with a beautiful room, ours had a small balcony. The bose i-pod dock meant we could play our own music and I could recharge my phone overnight. Beds very comfy nd air-con much appreciated. The cafe to which it is attached is a great favourite of ours and we have visited it many times and my husband indulged in his favourite - eel - as well as sampling various beers. A thoroughly enjoyable stay. There was no bath, only a shower. I know that the rrend is to showers only but some of us can't stand them.

There was nothing to dislike at all. It was excellent. However, the price at which I secured the booking was not the price that I paid. The price charged was significantly more. Also, there is no free wifi or free parking. Which all contravene the descriptions provided when booking. The parking and the wifi issues are minor irritations; but the price difference is a major concern. Another couple who checUked out before us also had a similar issue. We were charged 85 euros per night not the 62 euros promised by booking.com I had left my billing info on my pc in uk and only taken the reference number so I could not argue the point.
