Beautifully decorated. Like staying in a small private house. Location.
Perfect location, lux. Bar, wise-designed breakfast, dreamy decoration
We did not have Cold water in our room for the first hour right after check-in: truely inconvenient!
Very friendly staff, the best location in Brugge, great room with very hot water. The public areas on the ground floor are spectacular.
The lift could be a little newer but it is not an issue.
Friendly staff-very helpful. Location excellent for sightseeing
Lack of tea making facilities in room. Rubber covering on matress-a big no no in a luxury hotel Chairs in dining room so low it made eating very difficult. Other guests made simlar comment.
Great location in Bruges with an easy walk to the center of town and to restaurants and shops. Beautiful location on the canal. Beautiful rooms with character.
Room was somewhat small.
Fabulous location and most accommodating and helpful staff... Would definitely stay there again.
Everything about the whole experience, the lovely atmosphere and the central location in the city was wonderful.
The location for the central city can not be beat.
Room 103 was by the front door. Noisy with hotel guests and street traffic. The air conditioner didn't work on either night of our stay and the night porter gave us a fan but no one actually fixed it. The window opened onto the street so most unsatisfactory. Check in was posted as 2 pm. Despite the fact that our bags were moved in we were not allowed in at 1:45. Rigid doesn't begin to describe the receptionist.
Location was excellent, lots of character and special, extra touches. Hermes toiletries, chocolates at turn-down, 24 hour bar, bag of treats on departure - all added to a lovely stay.
Our room was a bit stuffy and the air con didn't work very well. Also, the blind didn't shut quite properly, letting light in which disrupted our sleep a bit. Otherwise, all was grand.
Bathrooms very small and slightly dangerous for older guests I would call this an excellent B&B
Staff superb, great breakfast
Bathroom dark and could do with update
Everything about this hotel is fantastic! Location, staff, food, friendliness! Brilliant
This building is one of the old ladies of Bruges and as such, it is hard to keep such an old building pristine so yes, the plumbing may be wobbly and the curtains a bit lop eared but the décor is gorgeous an the sheets and towels crisp and white and don't forget the Hermes bathroom goodies! Also such personal touches as letters about the weather, what is on in Bruges, who did the turn down service and of course, a tiny box of choccies on the pillow and as we drove away we were handed a beautiful bag packed with fruit, sweets and water to see us on our way....niiice touch! The staff are all delightful and really informative and friendly. Apart from all that it is in one of the most picturesque spots in a great shopping street just down from the main square.... We will be back.
Nothing we were unhappy with at all.
We were in the Gate room, beautifully decorated, everything we needed, no stairs, felt it was our own private room. We felt very special staying in this hotel, staff could not do enough for us, the location was perfect. Can't describe the décor it was wow! Just look at the website it is as shown
As the room was on the ground floor the ensuite had opening windows . We would have liked to have left a window open during the night for natural ventilation rather than using aircon but felt we should not for security reasons.
V noisy from tourist boats Wifi does not work on terrace V limited breakfast compared with similar hotels
Everything, in particular the friendliness and helpfulness of the staff, the car valet parking system worked well. Beautiful breakfast
The hotel only provides a limited light meal menu so must go out for dinner, but plenty of choice close by. Could do with breakfast menu to explain what is available by order in addition to buffet.
Great Location Friendliness & knowledge of staff.
Room was small but really adequate.
We like the location and the charm of the hotel. The hotel staff was lovely. The bellman delightful and helpful The hotel was immaculate and main areas charming
We felt that the bathroom needed an update. There was very poor ventilation in the bathroom so it got very hot. In some places on the doors and the walls paint was missing.
staff location decor
Beautiful lobby. Fantastic breakfast in an elegant setting. Staff was very personable and helpful.
Bathroom needed a little maintenance.
the hotel ticked all the boxes for us. Great location, perfect breakfast and afternoon tea. Staff were superb. The rooms were comfortable and the public areas quirky and fascinating. The canal side terrace was a delightful setting for enjoying a drink and people watching.
