Cosy, elegant, stylish and friendly staff - particularly the concierge come barman who was a real wit!
Nothing comes to mind
The most stunning hotel in Bruges with amazing staff. Couldn't have stayed anywhere better. Location was perfect. Beautiful fire on winter evening with fantastic drinks selection made for perfect nights before and after dinner. Loved everything.
Everything was as expected at the price (€300+ all-in) so no complaints. Staff were really good, particularly as we had dogs in tow, breakfast superb and they take away and bring back your car to their remote garage.
Shame they have no restaurant, but there are countless places close by. Room a bit on the small side - next time I will book a junior suite. In summary it's expensive but this is a class act so probably worth it.
Staff Décor Hotel situated close to the centre Beautiful Bedrooms
Charming boutique hotel with friendly and helpful staff. Beautiful common rooms.
The little champagne fridge in the room made a constant noise.
The suite was on two floors which was unusual and quaint. The bathroom was luxurious and modern. The drawing room and breakfast room were steeped in charm and beautifully appointed. The staff couldn't have done more and the champagne breakfast was fabulous!
My Partner and I were slightly disappointed the bed consisted of two large singles joined together.
Creative flamboyant interior design, attentive staff within a central location combined with a high level of comfort. If you are looking for a romantic waterside boutique hotel this is the place!
Have stayed several times always excellent.
Beatifully decorated, romantic breakfast lounge and well prepared breakfast... Nice and comfartable rooms.
During check out the lady at the reception ruined all positive effects of the hotel because of a stupid payment subject. At the end she was right but she could have handled the situation politely.
Excellent staff. Warm, inviting atmosphere with a luxurious feel cdlelit enhanced lighting
Could have done with a dressing table as bathroom was a little dark
comfortable romantic hotel with a view over the canal, very good location, calm, smiling and helpful staff
swing door to the bathroom in a room doesn't ensure enough privacy
Hotel had a lift, the room was pretty and comfortable, staff very knowledgeable and helpful regarding where to eat, what to see etc. The open fire was lovely to sit in front of at night.
Hotel could do with a bit of TLC - bathroom doors hard to open and a lot of paintwork is chipped and in need of a refurbishment. Considering the price these small things are very noticeable.
Unusual interior so beautiful. Really friendly staff nothing was too much trouble. Breakfast excellent. Great position in town and right on canal.
Attentive staff Beautiful decor Amazing breakfast Central location Feeling of luxury
We loved the staff they were very pleasant and extremely helpful. Breakfast was delicious and the service was fantastic. The sitting room area was beautiful and so very comfortable. Our rooms were cleaned and fresh towels delivered daily.
We booked a luxury double and were given Room (218). It was quite gloomy and only had one set of french doors. The room next door also a 'luxury double' was larger & lighter with double french doors. When we first entered the room it smelled a little doggy/cheesy. The Bathroom was too dark and shower too powerful to control. The water was dangerously scalding hot. This wasn't a luxury double in my opinion.
nice stuff, great breakfast, when we left, they gave us apples and a bottle of water as gift, which was lovely
there was a noise from the bathroom, I didn't hear that, but my dad thought it bothered when he tried to sleep
The attention to detail is exceptional, from weather reports and chocolates on the bed each night to decor to fresh crisp apples in the foyer. This is a bucket list hotel. The location is great, on the canal and close to the market centre. How beautiful to hear the bells of the tower or look at the canalfrom one's room. Stunning bathroom. Staff are excellent without being stuffy. Champagne breakfast isn't bad either!
A good all round hotel
The hotel was very charming with some old fashion touches, really enjoyed sitting on the terrace overlooking the canal.
room was a little on the small side, when you opened the room door we were looking at the foot of the bed.
The Flemish decor was very atmospheric. The gentleman bar tender had a great sense of humour and was very personable. Some staff friendly and helpful...particularly a work experience girl who suggested that we didn't eat in Markyt with the herds...there are many great restaurants down the side streets worth investigating.
Breakfast chairs almost impossible to eat from...too low for table. Some staff watched you as though you were a criminal...questioned on taking 2 pastries out of the breakfast room, even though we had paid £25 per person per night for breakfast... No mention of a running race through the town on check-out day, meaning that we couldn't get our car and leave as planned...luckily we had factored in some extra time for catching Le Shuttle, or it could have been disasterous. Family room very dark and dingy...no windows looking out and quite cramped (no pictures of that room on website). My daughter's had a luxury room which was much bigger & brighter. I had mentioned that it was my 50th birthday but it wasn't acknowledged. Better places to stay for your money in Bruges
I simply loved the luxury of this gorgeous hotel! Beautiful and spacious room, the staff were tremendously hospitable and helpful, especially when I had a craving for sweets after midnight :)
exploring the city and picture galleries
Breakfast and location..
The gate room that we were given has no opening windows and no natural light. The bathroom window opened on to the pavement.Hence no security to open a window, really not acceptable. E
