we did not find anything to dislike

Smoking room only lounge area No staff on the bar
Would stay here sgain
Second time iv stayed here, and I would stay again and again. It is something so different! the rooms are small, but if you wont be in there much is doesnt matter. It is well worth booking a room over looking the canal, beautiful in the morning! :)
Convenient easy to get to location away from the madding crowds.Pleasant stroll into the main city. The restaurant is very good albeit limited menu, breakfast buffet one of the best I have experienced on the continent considering the amount of space available. Certainly go again
Two single beds pushed together does not make a double
My partner and I stayed here for a short break away, the hotel was very nice and the staff very friendly and spoke excellent English. We felt very welcomed and would Definitly return. It was only a 10 minute walk from the centre of Bruge and was a great way to see all it had to offer. I would certainly recommend it.
The double bed was made of two singles beds and we kept falling down the middle. And when windy I kept loosing my balance (but I have really bad sea legs)
We arrived quite late but the restaurant kindly agreed to make us a meal although it was due to close. The breakfast was excellent and every taste catered for.
Small gripe I know but the towels had seen better days!
Loved the room, delicious breakfast, friendly staff and beautiful views over the water. A very diffrent experience from your normal hotel.
Floor space was a bit limited ( but expected on a Barge. Also could hear the people in the room above us ( again, nothing can be done about this, as the boat is of wooden contruction and not solid walls or floors like a hotel building).
Good location and easy walking distance of Bruges centre. Free car parking at premises. Quirkiness of the accommodation.
Location was easy to find, room was big and fairly comfortable beds. Food was great. Nice easy walk into town.
No where to relax in the room or in the bar, there is a smoking room onboard but as a non-smoker not nice to sit in. Beds where a little on the hard side. Noisy guests.
Windows that opened, and good central heating; slight problem with television one morning and it was fixed when we returned in the afternoon. Everything you could think of, available for breakfast. Toiletries included some nice handcream. Thank you
Shower head really needed to be replaced, but ok for our short stay also time to replace towels with new ones. perhaps a radiator bleed as it knocked occasionally.
The location was about 10-15 minutes walk to central Bruges. The barge restaurant was really nice and the food quality was good. Drink menu was adequate. The staff were helpful. There was a TV with English channels - music and news plus others. Bed was comfortable and the room had a radiator where you could control the temperature. It was lovely and warm!
The rooms and bathroom were fairly small but that should be expected on a barge. There was no iron or ironing facilities. The extractor in the bathroom did not work.
The location. The view. The food!
Our 'double room' had two single beds pushed together. Not the best for a romantic getaway!
everything accept the food prices eating out,we lived on stew and chips, but very nice.great time of year to visit, xmas market etc,and of course chocolates ???.
hefty prices around sqare area, but its only once a year
Good food in restaurant, very good breakfast, nice peaceful location, good staff
Bed was very poor and when paying for the premium cabin would expect a double or at least two comfortable singles together, room looked a bit tired and not as good as pictures but not a major issue, some renovation or repair to the canal side of boat so view wasn't great as scaffolding outside window so not worth paying extra for this
This unique hotel was perfect for us on our short trip to Bruges. Free parking outside (on the right side of town) and a lovely short walk into the city through the park. The boat had a lovely charm and the rooms were bigger than I imagined. The breakfast was fab too! Highly recommended.
The staff and the food were excellent. The hotel decor was in keeping with it being a converted barge.
nice walk into town from location. excellent breakfast - efficient service
thin small towels.
Decent location only a 15/20 minute walk in to the market square. Good value for money as well!
Staff didn't go above and beyond to accomadte however they weren't rude.
Quirky place to stay....charming cabins, small but had everything necessary, shower was great and beds comfy...fantastic breakfast in charming salon... Nice 15 min walk into Brugges through park....will return with my family
The only sitting room is a dedicated smoking room so smelt badly of smoke even if no one in.....boiled egg thief!!!!!
This quirky hotel on a barge with ducks quacking at your cabin window is a pleasure to stay at. A five minute walk across Minniewater Park brings you into the city and the picturesque wonderland of Chocolate, lace, beer and chips. Parking is easy too.
The towels could do with replacing as they have got a bit thin.
The staff were very friendly .Breakfast was brilliant plenty of choice. Great location.
There was no were for non smokers to sit after 2200hr as staff went home and locked the bar .Told we could sit in lounge but that was the smoking room which as a non smokers was not an option. We did try for a short period one night but all our cloth smelt after We felt that as is the norm in all other hotels we have stayed in the smokers have to go outside. The smoke could be smelt on most of the area by the lounge. This is the only thing that our party could fault
The hotel is very easy to find and has free parking available (city centre hotels this is hit and miss – and chargeable). The room was clean and comfortable – as was the bathroom – and a view over water is always a treat (ask when booking for a canal view). Staff are courteous and helpful. The breakfast (included) was delicious and faultless with a range of continental fare and basic English cooked (unexpected) in a very interesting nautical (as you would expect) themed dining area. Although on the map there is a road nearby – the hotel was extremely quiet with only the pleasing sounds of waterfowl and the occasional canal vessel breaking the silence. Access to beyond Bruges (Ypres worth a visit and nearby) was very easy. Access to Bruges was a 10 minute walk through Minnewater Park – for dinner. Reasonable rates for such a local hotel. The hotel includes a restaurant (we did not dine – but you would need to book) which is open Fri, Sat and Sun – and a well stocked bar (which we did enjoy). In summary a very pleasant, unique stay and highly recommended for those who are happy to walk more than a few metres to enjoy the sights and sounds of Bruges.
The only reason for not awarding a 5 star was the TV did not work in the room and I asked reception to look at it and nothing was done. Not a problem as we did not have time to watch – but I wouldn’t have been able to even if I had wanted to. A slight downside is that the ‘double’ bed was two singles together – therefore this creates a central gap. Room Tip: Ask for a canal view (charged 5€ per night extra) - but best not leave to chance
Close to old town but with own free carparking. Lovely old converted barge with views over the wide canal, only occasional water traffic except for ducks comorants and seagulls yet so close to the centre. Restaurant was good for breakfast and evening meal.
Wifi was not good with download speeds less than0.5 mb/sec. Could do with some newer towels. Free tea/coffee in room would have been good.
Enjoyed our stay, wifi in room didn't work, had to go to main hall way for if I to work, breakfast was great
