The hotel “Den Wolsack” is situated in a beautiful renovated neoclassical building, in the very heart of Mechelen's city center at the foot of St.-Rombouts Cathedral. Its central location makes "Den Wolsack" attractive for business people, as well as for tourists. The meals are served at "'t Oud Conservatorium", the heated "Orangerie" or on the cozy terrace. If you are in for some days in the wonderful town of Mechelen the hotel is a really good place to stay.It is situated just next to magnificent cathedral and only few meters from the Town Square (Grote Markt). Just around the corner you have a small square with a nice Greek restaurant and the smallest bar of Mechelen. It is also only 300 meters away from the cozy fish market situated at the canal. The standard of the hotel is fair but far from a luxury hotel. The rooms are old but of a good size. The breakfast is fair but dont arrive there too late and they will have run out of some of the products.

Staff at the hotal were very friendly. Hotel was ideal for the centre. The only downside to the hotel was the building work going on opposite. Construction of an underground car park.

We were staying in the hotel only on weekend. Everything was ok. But near the door of hotel is big reconstruction. I think it can be noisy during the week. The view from the window is spoiled.

werken voor het hotel, waardoor het voor de auto onbereikbaar was en dit werd ons niet vooraf meegedeeld. Verbouwingswerken in het hotel, waardoor kamer moelijk bereikbaar was. Onvoldoende personeel voor het klaarzetten van het ontbijt.

Ubicación única y exclusivamente. Olía muy muy muy muy muy mal. Para el precio que nos costó 99 euros la habitación era pequeña, sin ventilar, huele mal todo el hotel no por las obras del aparcamiento que están haciendo enfrente si no por creo un inmueble vacío que colinda con el hotel. Desayuno bufet escaso y de no muy buena calidad.

de netheid van de kamers, de ligging, de bediening/ontvangst en goed restaurant en goed ontbijt Ik klaag niet maar op termijn misschien thermostatische kranen plaatsen inn de douche zou handig zijn, zekr bij kleine kinderen (veiligheid)

Prachtige locatie in mooi stadje. Ontbijt okay. Standaard 2 persoonskamer is erg klein. Bed was niet zo geweldig: nogal zacht. Veel geklus in hotel. Met één mevrouw te maken gehad. Vriendelijke uitstraling, maar niet super gastvrij en hoffelijk. Ik kreeg als senior wat last van het eenzijdig van haar uit 'jij-en en jou-en'.

De locatie is goed, alles is aan te lopen. De dame van de receptie en de dame in het restaurant waren vriendelijk. Het ontbijt was goed, echter zeer weinig keuze. De bedden zijn aan vervanging toe!, Slechte matrassen. We hadden een 'deluxe' tweepersoonskamer maar ik vraag me af wat dan de luxe was..

vriendelijke mensen, gemoedelijk. Beetje oud en niet goed onderhouden. Het raam dat niet open en dicht kan...de verwarming niet te regelen..het was er koud. Oude en geen comfortabele matrassen.Ik vond het zeker geen Deluxe tweepersoons kamer en ik liep de trainingskorting mis door de bemiddeling van booking com.

Gerenoveerd hotel, prima voor een paar nachtjes met uitzicht op de St Romboutstoren. Betaald internet €12 p/24u of €5 p/u is niet meer van deze tijd..
