Beautiful appearance Beautiful dining area Superb location Friendly helpful staff Fabulous oldie worldy furniture that people either get or don't. We loved it.
Beds are terrible, with a capital TERRIBLE!!!! No lift, which was ok at my age but may put older folks off. To be fair, im sure staff would carry bags to room if needed.
Lovely slightly quirky old fashioned decor, great restaurant, fantastic location, v good value for money
All of the staff but most especially Christina were so welcoming and helpful. Beautiful hotel in a stunning location, location could not be any better. Breakfast is included, 3 types of meat, 1 type of cheese, boiled egg, yoghurt, fruit, cereal, juice and tea or coffee with lovely fresh bread and a different pastry each day. Room 10 was spacious. Views from the restaurant are fantastic. Beautiful old building
We loved everything, yes WiFi signal is patchy in areas but so what, it's a romantic hotel not a faceless business one. There is no lift but the stairs are not steep. Yes it is well worn in places but that adds to its charm
the character of the hotel. the staff were all so helpful couldn't have asked for more.Food was also excellent.
nothing to dislike about the hotel other than rather tired looking paintings nothing that a clean would not solve
Location, food, building
The bathroom was clean but basic, we were on the second floor and with little headroom the shower head was hand held but the bath was good
The location is fantastic. You cannot better the view when having breakfast which for continental had plenty of choice. The staff are kind and helpful, making this a great choice for a weekend break
There are no English TV channels or wifi here. Also just a reminder this is an historic building with no lift. No problem for us but could be for others.
Great small and cozy hotel! A great home feeling!
Bed was double bed, so had to sleep on one side, not to fall in between.
The hotel staff was so friendly.
The hotel room was too small and dark. It was saying that "with canal view", the window was almost at the top of the room, to see the view we have to climb.
Shower Was hand held in bath not easy for mature adults
Dining room superb. Location the best. Everything is close. Very nice paintingdecorations on walls. Restaurant very good.
Bed a bit hard, a bit moss smell in corridor but sleepingroom fine. Showering in room 11 difficult due to angeled ceiling.
5 star! The staff in the desk is very helpful and kind. The location of this hotel is perfect! Highly recommended!
Breakfast: good food, beautiful dining room and outstanding view! Location was great.
No showerhead holder or shower curtain in bath(room).
The junior suite with incredible views overlooking the main canal, was excellent. The staff were brilliant and the hotel a gem.
Lack of wifi, however it is nice not be in email contact sometimes.
It is in the most photographed area in Bugge and know wonder, the hotel has a dated charm of its own and we loved it.
A medieval hotel for a medieval city. Very atmospheric building with amazing views. An excellent restaurant.
The stairs with rather steep for older people with arthritis - but we just took them slowly !
Location Food quality of the restaurant
floor carpeting dirty and poor curtains dirty and poor ceiling probably not painted for 50 years no flexibility in breakfast times
Can be better as this hotel has historical building. e.g TV, Shower, cleaness
Staff, location, restaurant nearby and swans outside the window.
The shower in room 12 is in a bath under the eaves with less than 5 foot head height and the old bones had trouble kneeling.
Loved the décor and personal touches all through the hotel. Staff was polite and helpful. A very comfortable stay, bang in the middle of the Historical Centre. Highly recommended.
Wifi did not work in the room on the second floor and in the restaurant.
Location, dining room
Is in good location in the historic center of the town
We were in a standard room on upper floor. It was extremly durty with mold fungus in corners. Can't open the window as kitchen bad smell came in during the evening.
This restaurant/hotel is ideally located right in the center of downtown. Opening the windows in the morning allowed for a beautiful view of the canals with swans swimming. The breakfast was very good and we enjoyed our visit
Although free Wifi is advertised, it only works on the first floor which is the restaurant. No Wifi in the rooms.
