Everything about this hotel was great. City centre location. Good facilties. Excellent restaurant.
The hotel is in a perfect location of Brugge, easy walk to the center of town. The staff were very informative and helpful. The room was spacious and very clean. The parking is under the hotel, which is very convenient. Great experience.
Bang in the middle of the old town, close to market square and belfry, yet very quiet at night. Very good size room and bathroom, spotless, elegantly furnished and equipped with pretty much anything you need (large and comfy bed, shower and bathtub, writing desk, electronic safe, large wardrobe etc) except a kettle for tea or coffee. Also the garden view is very nice. Housekeeping knock at the door around 7pm offering to prepare your bed for sleep. Lots of choice for breakfast, we particularly liked the selection of fresh juices (including raspberry, tomato and grapes other than the "usual" orange)
Free wifi is basic speed, you need to pay extra for high speed (we didn't go for it so I don't know how good or bad it is). No tea/coffee facilities in the room.
A five star hotel in the center of Brugge, an excellent location. The staff was very helpful and the breakfast was fantastic. Hotel parking facilities were very good and the room standard was very high, We would like to return.
The lounge, breakfast (chocolate logs included to cut from), the room
walk in shower rooms are disaster, they have small drainage and flow over. Housekeeping said it has been a recurrent problem but not fixed. The way to the hotel if roads are blocked could be a hussle. Also parking not easily accessible. Better use public parking nearby. Town not easy to drive around to get to the hotel.
The hotel is just a few minutes walk from the main square, and benefits from a secure car park under the hotel.
Massage so popular need to book 48 hours ahead.
Location, staff, food, building and rooms, quality of decor, secure parking - everything!
The hotel, Dukes Palace in Brugge was absolutely fantastic. We were upgraded to a luxury room in fact the only room in the hotel with a roof terrace, which was enormous. The hotel was pure luxury throughout. The staff were so curteous and couldn't help enough. We would definately recommend this hotel.
I wish we had known in advance that the restraunt in the hotel is closed on a Sunday evening, as we went for our wedding anniversary we fully intended in having our Sunday evening meal in the luxury surroundings of the hotel. However we stayed in the bar and had an excellent ceaser salad.
Location, decor superb,very helpful staff
Bedroom got too hot some nights
There wasn't really anything we didn't like. The location and facilities were excellent as were service, food and prices were reasonable for what you'd expect of such an establishment. We would have enjoyed staying longer.
Shower temp was a little variable but nothing to worry about.
Beautiful building Very well finished Staff helpfull
Limited Spa No restaurant on Sunday
Location and hotel
Not enough light in room. Wifi very poor. Bathroom way too small.
Love this hotel great restaurant bar lovely reception area most helpful staff. Would stay longer next time would recommend .
Nothing loved everything
Staff were very helpful when we left a mobile phone.
Booked an expensive duplex room supposedly suitable for 4 single female friends - it had one bathroom to share, access to which was through the upper bedroom. The upper sleeping area had limited head height and a view onto a brick wall. The room was accessed through a chapel which was creepy to say the least. For the money we paid we were very disappointed.
Other than the expected high prices, there was nothing to fault it. Food, rooms, staff were all excellent. The feel of the hotel is tranquil considering it is so close to the center of town. Car parking was expensive but the underground car park was secure.
Having to leave!
You can have that real feel of living in the age of the Dukes! Location is perfect! Bathroom is great! The view from the 4th floor is awesome!
Everything. We only stayed one night but loved every minute of it - the ambiance, the staff, the room. We felt quite pampered.
Getting to the hotel was difficult, but not the hotel's fault - the streets were torn up, necessitating quite a few detours.
very very good
Location was good Outdoor area of hotel is nice
The first time I used the shower it flooded the whole bathroom, the floor was very slippery and dangerous. We reported this too staff telling them it was clearly blocked and they needed to get maintenance. Staff were uninterested and unapologetic. The bathroom was cleaned up but the problem was not sorted and the next 2 days we either had to have 2 minute showers or had to keep switching off the shower to allow it to drain every couple of minutes. Reported again on leaving, again staff were completely uninterested and no apology given for the huge inconvenience. I do not feel the staff live up to a 5 star hotel. This problem has clearly happened on other occasions and not been fixed. On another point there is no tea and coffee making facilities in the room. Didn't think you could even call yourself a 5 star without this. Finally we did not get a double bed as requested but 2 single beds pushed together with 2 single duvets. Not impressed.
Location could not be better, staff was always friendly profesional and always helpful especially the bell man. Also one of the receptionist took time and told us a little history about the hotel.
Unfortunately our stay could of been a little longer and that's why we definitely coming back.
I cannot remember the bell hops name but he was amazing! Was the most helpful of all the staff. Carried our luggagge to our room. And recommened the best places to eat and drink. Which turned out to be spot on! Man deserves a promotion!
Central location, beautiful property, helpful staff, quiet room, l'occitane toiletries.
Rooms were incredibly hot at night thanks to under floor heating which couldn't be turned off, buffet was served in a tiny ante room off the dining room which was crowded and awkward.
Luxurious, great breakfast, right near the centre
Staff friendliness would have improved, not allowed to check in until 3pm
A truly royal treatment in a palace, I highly recommend this place. An unforgettable experience ! Thank you. Irving and Silvana from Mexico City.
To leave! :-(
