Wonderful diner.

Poor bar service and quality

Good location by the lake, 10 minute walk to the railway station for trains into Brussels. Good comfortable rooms. We did not use the spa so cannot comment on that.

Our only comment was that the cooked part of the breakfast, pancakes, egg, bacon,sausage was cold or lukewarm. Good range of breakfast food though. Also we did not like that tea and coffee in the rooms was charged for.

The staff was excellent and the breakfast was the finest. The lake was gorgeous, I enjoyed a run for 3 mornings and it was beautiful.

The website showed modern beautiful rooms. We stayed in a reasonable room but it was decorated in Ramada 1995. Not pretty, comfortable but I was disappointed based on the website.

The location is excellent. Overlooking a lake, in a green forest setting. A very relaxing hotel.

It is poor value for money. It is trading as a luxury hotel. And yet much of the furniture is chipped and scratched. And the decor is sad and faded. To justify the cost it needs to update. Or maybe focus on a different market.

Wonderful quiet room to the green backyard of the house and very comfortable bed. Excellent restaurant. Good breakfast. Nice walk around the lake after dinner is a plus!

Coffe machine on the room produced awful coffee

The location was very nice.

The swimming pool is extremley small and can only accomodate about 3/4 people. The Hotel also tried to charge me an additional 30 Euro to use the pool however, this additional charge was not mentioned on my booking confirmation. Hotel also tried to charge me additional 15 Euros for the room.

Very nice location. Close to the city and airport. Good food at the breakfast. For the dinner there is a good choice of restos nearby. Beautiful nature, cosy hotel. Not very big, and unfortunately this refers to the swimming pool and the spa facilities as well, although the quality of spa is good. Perfect for a long weekend, longer stay can be rather boring - taking into account the raining days which do not allow any outdoor activities.

To put in the rooms a normal kettle and some choice of herbal teas. Currently there is a coffee machine, the coffee and tea tablets do not look very attractive and on top of that you have to pay for them.

The setting - going for a walk round the lake in the evening

The location by the lake was excellent and the vista of the hotel enchanting. The staff - reception, chambermaids - were charming although there was one sury waiter at breakfast. The breakfast was very good particuarly the yogurt which was fantastic.

I did not like having to pay for coffee and tea in the room, even in the most basic B & B in UK this is generally free. The breakfasts which we paid for seperately were very good but exspensive.

The room was very good, the staff very helpful and the breakfast excellent. Setting is very good and the lake very good to walk or run around.

The coffee machine in the room didn't work. I think they may have charged for coffee in the room, had it been working, which I have never heard of before in a hotel.

Really nice setting by the lake and a really nice hotel, staff helpful, the spa was good. Good food in the restaurant.

The spa closed early and was a bit small. And the lights kept going out in the restaurant during breakfast but only minor quibbles.

Beautiful location directly on the Genval lake with rooms facing the lake. Generous and well appointed rooms in pleasant design with lots of charme. Very friendly and helpful staff. Ample parking. Excellent cuisine in gourmet restaurant.

This hotel prides itself on its 5***** category, yet several elements leave one star to be desired: there is some renovation need as there are scuffmarks all over the room and public areas. Plastic door handles and loose hanging plastic towel rails leave the impression that the last renovation budget did not comprise chrome fittings. Plastic cups and wall mounted soap dispenser in the bathroom. WiFi (network cable did not work) at a supplement. Poorly sound-insulated room doors. Smallish breakfast buffet with industrially prefabricated and reheated scrambled eggs. Smoked salmon showed, on a cling film wrapper, that the expiry date had passed a few days earlier.
