Layout of the bedroom
- location - clean hotel - friendly staff
very friendly staff
- Location: right above the train station and walking distance to city center.
Good level for its price
Nothing specifically. everything was fair or good.
It's a good value for prize. Rooms are very tiny, but niece and clean. Good wi-fi. Great location (just next to the train station - very comfortable if you travel in the morning).
Shower is situated in the room itself (not bathroom attached to it), so there is no space to leave your cloths and change, what can be a problem if you travel as a group of friends. There is no hair dryer in the room. and... room is really tiny, but it's also one of the cheapest options we found in Louven, so I think it was good value for the prize we paid.
The location of the hotel was ideal for our weekend. I was with our karate club who were there for a tournament which we walked to from the hotel and every night we walked to the main square for restaurants etc. So we were central to everything we needed to make it a gr8 wkend.
The only thing we didn't like which is out with your control was the rain but it wasn't as bad as it is in Scotland.
Good location for travelling by train or bus
Wifi on the slow side
It position is excellent if you are taking a train or a flight (Leuven is 15 minutes by train from Brussels airport). The price is moderately interesting for two people and very good for three. A solo traveller can find better solutions.
- The web page says the hotel has a parking but that is false. You can park some hundred meters away in the public parking of the railway station. - I booked a room with twin beds and they gave us the standard with three ( the third low on your head). When I complained they answered that being the same price for they it is the same..so why to give different room types to choose among?
This hotel does exactly what it says on the tin. If you are expecting sofas and armchairs in your room then prepare to be disappointed. The clue is in the word "budget". Having said that this hotel is spotlessly clean in a good location for Leuven city centre as it is right next to the train station. You are able to makw out the sound off late night freight trains but to be honest it is not an issue. The rooms are compact with a separate wc and cruise ship style shower cubicle. The showers are superb plenty of hot water and powefull. For what you pay (we paid 40 euros/night) you cannot complain. If you want better refinements there are other hotels that will meet your needs including the Ibis in the city centre. All in all the Ibis Budget was very acceptable.
As the hotel is close to the station there is an open pedestrian wakway leading to the station itself via a subway. This can get a little boisterous in the evening but it soon passes and is not a major issue but some may not like it. There is also a main road running along the front of the hotel and the traffic noise might be a cause of concern to some people but not to us. Again you need to bear in mind the hotel type.
Superb location just beside to Leuven railway station. Very clean, neat and tidy facilities. A double room was just perfect for a solo traveller, however, it could have been slightly small for two people? 7th floor room was very quiet, and there was a nice view to the east over the district of Kessel-Lo. Friendly staff. Breakfast price-quality ratio very well.
Close to railway station. Bed is spacy. Overall - nice hotel for youth and those who value low cost.
No fan to dry your hair, no shampoo - take them with you. No space in shower to take your dress out - not a problem when you stay alone but for groups of friend this might be a problem. Breakfast will be useless for anyone with gluten or lactic intolerance.
Room too hot and bed too uncomfortable. Hard to find hotel and the local parking.
checkout till 12 am is very comfortable, also stuff was very helpful, room very clean, cleaned up every day with towel change, location is good, about 10 min walk to city centre and by the railway st., although we didn't hear any noise, in general very good accomodation for couple of night.
quite hard mattrace, but one can get used to it
Easy and quick check-in and check-out Cheap Near the train station (and bus station) Clean Quiet
Minor marks on the walls Understaffed at night
Great location. Basic but enough for short stay. Great value.
Close to town centre - near station; helpful staff; good value for money.
No parking in front of the hotel to throw off passengers and luggage. Parking garage spacious but no signs pointing to the Ibis hotel or to get out. Only plus is the vincinity to Leuven center about 200 meters via the nearby railway tunnel.Beverage machines in the Ibis Budget hotel dont have beer or wine.
