Martin’s Brugge is just behind the famous 13th-century Belfry and 185 yards from the Grote Markt. It has a terrace and a cocktail bar, and all rooms have a flat-screen TV.
Score from 2019 reviews Very good

Friendly and helpful staff good breakfast good location.
not enough power points in our room (only one). It was also noisy at night with people going past.
The location is fine and the staff were helpful and friendly
Very few electrical sockets in my room and the two I found were nowhere near the bed or desk. Wifi was very poor. It was also very hot since I was in the attic.
Staff were very friendly and helpful. We booked a standard double room as it was all that was available but we were given a room on arrival that was very large, comfy beds (2 double beds!) a large bathroom with bath and a lovely view of the canal. The breakfast was fine, a good selection of things. Not overly luxurious but Good value for money, great location!
The wifi wasn't great but we didn't mind too much. Our only complaint would be there was no tea/coffee maker in the room but besides that it was still worth the stay because of the lovely staff and the distance to the central market (5 min walk!)
Excellent value, location, and service Great breakfast Nice big beds Room full of character
Nothing to dislike, other than the occasional mosquito biting you!
Clean, tidy and good location.
Expensive for what it is, but that's what Bruges is like...
4 hour limited parking I.e. No parking!!! Bed and pillows horrible. Room very small, dark and old and stank of cigarettes but don't open window as mosquitoes galore. Decore awful, breakfast very ordinary. Worse hotel I have ever stayed at. Shame because Bruges is so amazing.
Room was smaller than advertised, old, worn out and stuffy. Cost was outrageously high for what we got. False advertising. Do not believe the website description or photos. Linens were worn out, towels threadbare. No air, now window screens, many nasty Mosquitos.
Location Helpful Staff Good Value
Room was very dated in need of refurbishment
5 minutes walk from the market square (middle of Bruges). The man at reception went out of his way to give us all the parking options, best restaurants (not the most expensive) and marked them all on a local map. Just what you need on a short break in a place you don't know.
Great location for central bruge. Cheap parking when using hotel voucher. Excellent continental breakfast
Booked a triple room but only one single and one double bed. My mate had to put up with my f##rting and snoring! Lol
Good value for money and helpful staff
Wonderfull view from the room 32. We could see the channel and the city skyline. Excellent staff, which spoke very good english and were very kind to spend some good time answering our questions about the city history.
Location by a canal, easy to walk into the centre of Bruges; the breakfast; large room for the four of us (4 single beds, all side by side) with plenty of space for our luggage. We were only there overnight so didn't unpack.
The street noise (no doubt made by foreign tourists walking and talking in the early hours); the mosquitoes.
Canal view from window. Good size room. Large bathroom. Good breakfast Value from a 2 - star hotel
One side of the twin bed seemed firmer than the other
The staff was very helpful and friendly in this hotel situated 10 min. easy walk from the heart of Bruges. We had a 5 year old and a not-very-mobile 77 year old with us, and it catered for all ages. It is dated, our double rooms were very small and there was a bit of a suspicious smell from the plumbing at times, but the location couldn't have been better. Worth walking alongside the canal it is situated on, absolutely stunning surroundings. Would recommend for any traveller or family.
The rooms are spacious, with large windows, and the beds are extremely comfortable. The breakfast had a very good variety of cheeses, meats, breads, cereals, plus hard boiled eggs- the little butter and chocolate croissants are really excellent. The hotel is just a bit off the main square- enough that there is little foot traffic in the way; it is across from a canal, which is perfect. The hotel is very cute itself, and the staff were very nice. The wifi was incredibly powerful!
There are no negatives for this hotel.
Really good value for money, hotel well located, good breakfast, friendly staff.
Hotel slightly old fashioned (not necessarily a negative point, just up to everyone's preference), wi-fi out of reach from our room.
The location of this hotel is very good just a short walk to the Market and Berg. We booked a car parking space which turned out to be a private garage next to the hotel. The room was comfortable and clean.
The wifi connection was poor.
The room was full of character and a traditional hotel. The hotel was in a beautiful area of Bruges quiet and yet on the canals.
Great view from the hotel room (49) over the canal and bridges. Good location - only a short walk to the market place, museums etc. Quiet location.
No tea/coffee facilities in the room (but from reading reviews of other hotels, maybe this is something you tend not to find outside the UK).
Great location lovely breakfast great staff nothing was too much trouble we have stayed there 4 times now and have always been made welcome a very good hotel for the money
The location is great, only 5 minutes walk to the market square. It's situated on the canal. It's a good price. The staff are vey friendly and accommodating.
Our bed sheets were stained with somebody else's hairs woven into them. The walls are so thin we were woken up every morning very early, by a high pitched child, a singing mother, and dad with a deeper voice than batman. There's no 'do not disturb' signs, so every morning the cleaners knock on EVEYONEs door, resulting in waking you up from every knock, and as the walls are so thin, you are woken from the knock 10 doors down and the vacuum cleaners. Last breakfast is served at 9.20am, I never made it in time.
Great position ideal for visiting the city ,good value and quality and not pretentious
