Grand Hotel de Flandre  

Excellent location just across the road from the railway station. Certainly no noise from outside due to the quadruple-glazed windows! Buffet breakfast was good.

I'm sure it was 'Grand' at some point but seems to be suffering from faded glory. Maybe it's time for a refresh. I would stay again purely for the location.

Excellent service perfect location very quiet and clean

The location was excellent, the staff was friendly and helpful, the breakfast was decent. You are just a couple blocks away from the charming pedestrian zone of the city, so the location is wonderful for walking around the city.

The room was rather cramped. The biggest challenge for a first time visitor with a car is that there is nowhere to stop even for just a minute near the hotel to drop off luggage and find out where the parking is. Once you learn how and where to park it is reasonably convenient and inexpensive.

Convenience of being across from the Railway Station having travelled on EUROSTAR.

Although there was free access to a PC / internet, both mine and my colleague's USB stick was corrupted through this computer network. May be having a small fee and timed access would reduce abuse of this medium.

The only good thing was free and good working internet. Pleasant staff at the reception.

Tired, nasty smell hotel. No hot water in the shower in the morning, tiny flies in the room. No possibility to open windows to get fresh air because the hotel is right on the busy street.

I liked the location, close to the center of the old city. Our room was small but clean.

The lack of air conditioning in some of the rooms made the first night difficult. The fan provided the following day was very useful. The breakfast was good and the service fast but if you stay more than a couple of days you wish for some more variety.

Overlooking Station entrance - noisy all night road traffic. Room too warm at night with windows shut to keep out noise. Many previous stays with back rooms quiet with windows open at night.

Beliggenheden overfor banegården var fremragende. Uagtet at hotellet lå midt I byen var der ingen trafikstøj. Parkering I det nærliggende P-hus fungerede fint. Personalet var meget behjælpeligt, men lidt større engelskkundskaber kunne have været ønskværdigt. Alt fremtrådte rent og pænt, og morgenmaden var dejlig.
