This hotel is less than half a mile from Namur train station and a 45-minute drive from Brussels International Airport. It has a bar, a free internet corner and air-conditioned rooms.
Score from 615 reviews Very good
This hotel is in a peaceful location along the Meuse River, in the town of Wepion. Hampton's hotel has an extraordinary indoor and outdoor pool, a spa center and a spacious terrace with river views.
Score from 709 reviews Good
Offering free bikes, La Valse Lente provides accommodation inside a boat on the Meuse river in Namur. The boat is situated 200 metres from the Castle of Namur and 300 metres from the old city centre.
Score from 2 reviews Very good
In Namur’s casino building, Beauregard looks onto the River Meuse, featuring a combination of peaceful surroundings and lively entertainment.
Score from 707 reviews Good
Central location, large comfortable and clean rooms, easy to find and park close by, good eateries within a short walk through a pleasant and historic town centre.
As a stop-over, what's not to like? But I wouldn't chose it for a holiday
Excellent location close to the old town Easy, safe parking that is not expensive Very comfortable rooms Happy and friendly staff
Breakfast selection could be improved
very well situated near the old town and very friendly reception.
a bit old glory hotel and small rooms.
Right opposite the station and 10 minutes from the river and the old town. Large quiet room with air con and lovely facilities. Bed with plenty of pillows particularly memorable
Slight noise from the plumbing and the aircon but easily fixed
Quiet and comfortable
Central location and parking discount. Good variety at breakfast.Friendly and helpful staff.
Basic but friendly, I have stayed here twice now. Fantastic location. Good wifi. Friendly, helpful staff. Reasonable breakfast, help yourself, good choice. Excellent sound proofing.
Lift sometimes stops just before it should but that's a minor annoyance
The location is close to city center and next to railway station. There are also parking places for the car, plus many possibilities to eat, like fast food, restaurants and shops.
The entrance is not easy to find between fast foods.
Bang opposite the station. Impressive soundproofed double glazing effectively kept out 90 mins of World Cup celebrations. Efficient air con or open windows if you prefer. Reception leant me a plug adaptor. Breakfast passed the scrambled egg test.
It will not win prizes for beauty, the lift is a period piece and the perfectly adequate bedroom was a bit poky.
Excellent location. Very friendly and efficient staff. Good size bedroom, good air con, free no fuss wi-fi. Good breakfast.
Fantastic location Great staff Bed super comfortable Rooms seem insulated against noise
Breakfast average (but ok for price of hotel)
The staff was extremely helpful. Both desk clerks spoke english and were eager to help with any questions we had. They were also kind enough to validate our parking garage ticket. The rooms, while smaller compared to others, appear to have been recently updated and very comfortable. The included breakfast was a very good bargain and had many options.
It is in quite a congested and dirty area of the city. Namur has definitely seen better days. The view from the room was of the train yard across the street. The elevator was very small and held 3 people at most (without luggage). Upon checking we were asked how many devices we needed wifi for and were given a small slip of paper for each device with a login and password and then had to login in each time we used it if 5 mins of non-use had passed. It was quite cumbersome.
Rooms look better then the facade of the hotel. Large room large bathroom. Good breakfast
A bit far for the parking, but good discount. Hard to stop at the entrance for dropping the luggage. Reception at the first floor
not able to park outside - public car park ~ 100 metres walk with luggage
Location in front of railway station.
Location, staff was amazing, breakfast
Convenient, nice style.
Location. Useful car parking arrangement nearby.
Located directly opposite the main railway station, despite this fact it was really quiet and cozy hotel.
Helpful staff, good mattress, open wardrobe, clean room and bathroom, coffee and tea in the room including water boiler, wi-fi works well also on higher floors, excellent location particularly for commuting to Brussels but also for visiting the city and shopping.
This may be the best-located hotel at Namur, with the railway station, bus stops, taxis and bicycle hire (Vélib / Boris bike-style) next to the hotel, along with the "TEC" office for bus information, a small supermarket & the tourist office nearby. We ate dinner at the Flandre brasserie below the hotel, a separate enterprise. It is a short walk to the tourist attractions & all amenities. In a "superior" room (409) there was a comfortable bed, a fridge, plus kettle, coffee/tea & milk. The TV has Belgian, French, Dutch, German, Italian, BBC and other channels. The double glazing is ample for noise insulation even on the station side. The breakfast is wholly adequate (arrive early though) and there is a free Internet PC in the restaurant. The staff were very helpful with accommodating the needs of our baby (fee of 10 EUR per night for a baby bed). The hotel was accessible for a pushchair but wheelchair users should telephone to check the door widths of the lift and bedrooms. There is a 5-cm high step at the hotel street entrance, but that is the only physical obstacle (and it could perhaps easily be bevelled [biseauté] by the hotel). The kerbs on the street outside have accessible inclines. We have travelled in nine countries together and believe that this hotel will fulfil most travellers' needs.
The understated Belle Époque entrance leads to a slightly temperamental lift which also lacks an internal safety door (parents, watch your children's hands). Unlike France or Britain, there's no visible technician's certificate saying when the lift was last checked. There is a 5th-floor roof terrace which, frustratingly, is closed to guests; if a glass windshield were added inside the balustrade, this could become a rooftop coffee bar in the style of George Clooney. Those who use the western staircase as a quicker alternative to the lift will note cracks in the stairs and cracks and stains on the walls. Perhaps a friendly architect guest can advise the hotel on any structural and plumbing problems and how to improve the aesthetic. The Internet connection is a bit slow, and the TV reception sometimes pixelated. Some channels were unavailable in the morning. The bathroom tap was completely obstructed by the shelf above the wash basin; this shelf needs to be re-positioned (we carefully slid-out the glass). These are offered as constructive criticisms; they are not issues which reduced the enjoyment of our stay at the hotel.
Quiet, comfortable, convenient.
This is the second time I have stayed at the Grand Hotel de Flandre, it is in a brilliant location right across the road from the train station. The staff are lovely, the rooms comfortable, great showers, easy wifi connection, good breakfast.....I love everything about the Flandre
Perect location, right in front of the railway station.
No separate shower
nice location, very easy to be found
the room and the floor had a bad smell, which hardly got away after opening the window for more than 1 hour
