Floreal Le Panoramique

The dinner was excellent, much better than I had expected, the views were good, the local beer was excellent, the staff were efficient and helpful, and helped my poor French with good command of English in most cases.

It had a very odd and almost surreal atmosphere in October. I guess this is a summer holiday hotel, and in October, it seemed almost empty. I visited the bar 3 times, and three times, I was the only person there, apart from the barman. All bars in village seemed to be closed. They had only dial up internet connection in the rooms, and I could not get this to work. In 2009, I expect minimum of cable broadband, but preferably wireless broadband. However, I knew of this before booking.

We liked the place as being the countryside and activities all inside the hotel ground.

The rooms were spacious and had amazing views over the countryside. There were many outdoor activities at the hotel and walks to take from the hotel into the countryside next to it. A superb place for a family to stay or break a long journey.

The rooms were large and clean. Restaurant service and meals were excellent. The area is great for long walks through the hills. The hotel is close to the city of Tournai.

The room was next to the elevator, so there was some noise during the night.

Goede ontvangst. Leveren voor een redelijke prijs voor de hotelgasten een lekker menu in het restaurant. Prachtig uitzicht vanuit de kamer.

personeel vriendelijk en nederlands sprekend was ook prettig

Goede keuken, mooie lokatie, heerlijk rustig.

La taille de la chambre. Lit confortable. Grand balcon avec vue magnifique (levé du soleil sur les vallées avec un peu de brume...)

Rien à signaler - si la télé est trop petite!

Le Floréal Panoramique est une sorte de club de vacances. Excellent emplacement sur une colline. Personnel attentif aux besoins du client. Pas de WiFi, mais le réceptionniste, gentiment, m'a proposé d'utiliser un ordinateur de la réception. Grande chambre avec balcon et vue sur la ville de Tournai. Restaurant correct (bonne qualité de la nourriture). Si je repasse dans la région, je n'hésiterai pas à revenir dans cet hôtel.

Peut-être le mobilier qui semble dater des années 1970/1980, mais est-ce vraiment important ? Ca n'enlève rien à la qualité de cet hôtel.
