Close downtown, nice Place....
If We got 2nd more floor, big problem brought luggage to upstair....
Nice people Cozy bedroom Great neighbourhood!
Expensive breakfast (I didn't even try it) Maybe wifi not working super good
-location -view over the square and the flea market -nice staff
-very small room -wifi working slow at the 2nd floor
Friendly and very helpful staff. Pretty good location only a 10 minute walk from the grand place and other attractions. Hotel was clean and warm. Overall pretty good.
- Great placement, 7 mins walk away from Gare Midi, 7-10 mins away from center. - good rooms, large enough, comfortable beds. - friendly personnel, free WiFi, a lot of tourist flyers to choose from, restaurant at disposal.
- Room a bit cold but this was due to a window that was left open. A radiator was in the room to solve this issue. - 4th floor room had a little problem with the plumbing, a tendancy to overflow.
It's a special place for who likes to feel where he or she is.
Don't go, if you expect a standard threestar treatment.
Blood spot on sheets, electricity seldom missing, smell of sewer in the bathroom
There is a supermarket next to it. It is near the vintage and flea market
Staff was extremely rude. Before i booked the hotel i make a special request that i need a double bed and wifi but the staff didn't provide the room which had the facilities and he doesn't care about what i ask for. The wifi signal is very poor! The washroom is like a airplane carbin size very small! It looks very close on the map but it actually took roughly 15 to 20mins walk to central
This hotel is small but charming, as are the rooms. It's an older property with no lobby or elevator but it's been kept up very well. We arrived near midnight and there was someone waiting for us at reception. He spoke no English but was very helpful. Parking is an additional €15 and is located several blocks away. We didn't partake in the €9 breakfast but I wish we had as the restaurant is lovely. The location is good, a nice15 minute walk from the city center. The staff in the morning some English and was just as helpful. We only stayed for one night but I tried to extend the reservation because we were so pleased. We would definitely stay here again for the price!
The bathroom was clean and modern but smelled musty, possibly from hard water.
The Hotel is relatively well located, in the sense that you can get to major landmarks and the train station by foot. Some (but not all) of the rooms are nice, and the eating area downstairs is well decorated. The crepe-shop next door has good food as well.
The hotel had overall poor service and many deficiencies. Schizophrenic would be the best way to describe it. My first room was smelly, very cramped, and could not receive Wifi. On the 3rd night, I switched rooms, and the new room was nice, more beautiful and had some Wifi. Every single time I made a request, the hotel was negligent and did not follow through. For example, 3 days before arriving in Brussels, I asked to be put in a room with Wifi, and this was not the case (only rooms on the 1st floor have Wifi). Also, I asked not to be disturbed in the mornings (10.30 am cleaners), and yet I was disturbed every single morning, even when I put a sign on my door. The staff often did not speak good French or English, which I think may have resulted in some of the deficiencies I mention. In hindsight, I shouldn't gone to a slightly more expensive hotel with better service.
the location is good to get to places around the city
small rooms, and small stari case, elevaator taks long and small, bathroom too small unconfortable
location is great.
I feel it is a bit overprized, but I do not really know the cost of hotels in Brussels. for the room price I get they could include breakfast that, as per 10/14 was 9 euro... and the plastic encased toilet... come on, are we joking or what?
Good location. Near the South Station and next to the flea market, wandering around it is a great way to while away a morning.
Room design and cleanliness
4th floor room and no elevator!
The beds were extremely comfortable. And after a very long flight this was welcomed. Lucky for us we had good weather and were able to explore surrounding area.
The area that this hotel is located in was a bit dodgey. Lots of rubbish stacked against tree's. Not many restaurants close by and the attendent at the supermarket round the corner did not want to serve us.
The staff were friendly, the location was good and at the back of the hotel there was very little noise. I wasn't in my room for very long, but I slept well and it was as expected for a budget hotel.
Looks like it's in the middle of being refurbished, the actual hotel building looks fine, but we had to go through a corridor, and out the back through what looked like a building site and then up a lot of stairs! There's a few wires poking out of the wall, and the fittings are a little wobbly but nothing that inconvenienced us.
good location of the hotel, friendly staff, clean room, great restaurant on the first floor.
good audibility, shower and toilet is tiny and uncomfortable, the lack of a large mirror in the room.
Flea market outside
Lift slow and very creaky. Top floor room had a good view, but the double bed only just fit between the walls. Breakfast was poor and pricey.
Hotel Galia was the first stop of our interrail trip this summer and we arrived relatively late. The front door was open, which suggested there was someone around, but it took quite a long time for the staff to come to reception to greet us, resulting in considerable confusion for us! The woman who did eventually was helpful, although spoke no English - glad I speak some French! Mind you, the man who checked us out in the morning spoke fantastic English so it's a bit hit and miss there. We were given the keys to our room right up at the top of the (tall and thin) hotel. It was a quadruple room, but two beds were in a separate 'annex' area so we just ignored that! The main room was lovely, beautifully decorated and rather quaint, with a great view out over the main square. Even at that time of night, there were plenty of bars open for a quiet drink.
No directions - it's located in a fairly sizeable square and took us about 15 minutes' walking in the dark to find. Bathroom was also absolutely tiny - the shower was in a corner but, when the curtain was pulled around, it covered a good half of the bathroom, including the sink. .
Very good location - close to one of the main stations and city center. Hotel is old an unique - with the spirit.
We encountered some problems checking in: late arrival was approved in advance, however, there was no one to meet us. It has been resolved quite quickly, however, we have received a very very poor room for the first night. And staff failed to inform us we were granted free breakfast as a compensation.
just feel good. staff are friendly.
Friendly and helpful staff Comfortable and clean bed Good breakfast Quite easy to access city centre
Some parts of hotel needs a good facelift especially entrance floor. They have kept an old rustic effect in dinning room but the dust was to evident on all the bric a brac and the old appearance tables looked as if they need a good scrub. The first bed room was very basic. The second room had a more modern decor but was a little small.
Hotel Lift, no hot water in bathroom, room and bathroom stinks, only the triple room we got was bearable
The staff was 5 star, so friendly genuine and helpful! Adorable location right next to a flea market in the mornings with a fabulous breakfast joint next door to the hotel, and inside it. It was my favorite place I stayed in Europe! Thank you thank you!
