The staff was friendly, rooms were clean. Breakfast was on open buffet for 5€ which was quite nice. Close to Brussels MIDI station and Grand Place.

Location does not really feel safe but ok for short trips, hard to find if you don't have a GPS, beds and pillows are uncomfortable. Heating and ventilator in bathroom were too noisy. Some furniture and closet and bathroom needed maintainance.

Lets say that it was far better than other hotels in the similar price range, and the breakfast for 5 Euros is an awesome deal! I would strongly recommend it if you are on weekend trip to Brussels, but for a business traveller some essentials are missiing. The "Table d'hote" dinner Wednesday to Sunday that the hotel offers is also worth trying

Mostly like all what other reviewers have pointed out: weak internet signal (inexistent on the third floor) and was not actually working even in the reception area the day I was there, and a steep hike on narrow stairs to the third floor.

Very small room and in very bad condition, needs urgently to be refurbished! Old broken furniture! Bathroom ceiling was affected by mold! Check out time at 10.30!!! and was not negotiable the evening before!

The staff members were friendly, both the day and night shift. I've seen reviews where they complained about them but as long as you keep your smile on, they will keep theirs on too. In general, I expected worse based on the reviews. We took the Eurostar train to Brussels Midi and the hotel was really near to the station. Love the fact that I can save most of my money on travelling and there was a luggage storage facility in the hotel. There are many good restaurants around the hotel. There was a construction site and a flea market just right beside my room. It was alright considering things only get noisy at about 7-8am, when it's time to go out. It's about 15-20 minutes to town, and it was a good walk considering it was sunny throughout my half week stay.

We had times where the toilet lights flicker like a disco scene and we had to improvise by bringing a table lamp into the toilet. Toilet is really small too, but sufficient. There were smells of cigarette smokes but I found out they came from the room cleaners one day when passing by them. The heater was sufficiently warm for our stay but any colder than 0°C may do no good. Wifi wasn't working the entire stay, but I survived with a mobile data plan so yay!

The lady at the reception: Honest and helpful, trying to solve the clients problems. Decoration on Room 14: This room is was given to me to solve the first day internet problem (see dislikes) and is really pretty. I would recommend this hotel if you don't need internet during your stay and are not a solo woman.

Wi-Fi: The misinformation about Wi-Fi (they only have it in the reception area, breakfast area and on rooms on first floor that are located on top of the router). Decoration: Not all rooms are recently redecorated like room 14 (see likes). I have seen one on the third floor that needed some work on it. Location: As a solo woman, I didn't felt comfortable walking in that part of town in the evening looking for a restaurant (that I have not even found) and ended up buying some food at a small supermarket to eat at my room. I would not recommend this hotel if you're a solo woman and needs to walk late in the evening to the hotel or if you need internet during your stay.

Lovely hotel, very friendly staff and good breakfast.

The room was freezing and it was impossible impossible to use the wifi even in the common areas.

Location in the center of the city - everything is in easy walking range, good breakfast, low price.

Small room, no place for a chair, elevator not working, heating OK in the bathroom, but hardly working in the room.

The elevator was out of function... AGAIN! It was out of function one year ago too when I stayed at Galia. Very hard to carry the bags up 3 narrow stairs... actually VERY BAD!

The hotel is situated close to the tran station in a picturesque Arab quarter. The rooms are nicely renovated and decorated, the staff very helpful (although seemed a bit cofused at times).

After arrival, I was given keys to an already occupied room, fortunately the guest wasn't in it. When we sorted that out, I realized I was placed in a single bed room, although I ordered double. The wi-fi signal was very weak on the 3rd floor and it often disappeared. Very frustrating, especially if you need to work. The bed was too soft. In spite of all this, I didn't change the room because everything else was fine.

Paying 5 Euro for the breakfast was unexpected, but also value for money

The friendliness of the staff. The breakfast was plenty, fresh and delicious. The location in front of a square is great, whereas the entire neighborhood is filled by vintage shops and only 10 minutes from the Brussels' centre by bus. The room was cleaned and tided up every day.

The lift was not working. The furniture could be more modern. The extra charge for the breakfast. I could certainly be included in the room price. The wifi did not always worked properly, sometimes being extremely slow. The price could be reduced a bit.

The interior design was nice and new.

The courtyard we had to pass through to get to our rooms was quite old and untidy. Also, the hot water supply in the shower was not stable.

The staff were very nice and helpful, room was nice and comfortable, the free breakfast was good too. The wifi service is good, it reached up to our room in the first floor.

The walk to the train station was a bit far, and the road was dark, but safe.

That close to the MIDI station but it's will better if I have a elevator,therefore the ladder is too narrow and so difficult to carry any luggages to the room.

Lift didn't work, rooms very small, hotel was over booked and were wanting to move people even though they had paid for certain rooms. Room wasn't cleaned and no clean towels were available

the room was very clean, although a bit of decoration would not go amiss breakfast was good and value for money

The reception kept trying to talk us out of giving up our twin room, The lift did not work, our bags could be sent up, but there was a real chance he said of it breaking down if we went in it. An apartment block is being built metres away from the hotel, work starts at 6am so do not expect any sleep.

It was charming and picturesque, with colourful staff members and a raffish atmosphere. Breakfast was good value in the restaurant downstairs.

The lift wasn't working which meant a bit of a trek up 5 flights of stairs, but that was probably good for us.

A very neat, boutique-style hotel in the centre of Brussels, run by friendly people. Comfortable rooms, firm mattress, excellent shower and very friendly, homely dining room, all at a very reasonable price.

The breakfast...although an extra 5 Euros if you had not been offered it for free in your room price. Only a 15 minute walk from Gare Du Midi rail station.

Rooma are over-priced as much of Brussels seems to be...construction work very close-by.
